Keeping Kyler starts off right where loosing Kyler left off and oh boy what a cliff hanger that was. I felt so bad for what Kyler was going through in the start of this book but I loved how he used Faye to lean on. There are so many questions answered in this book and things started to make so much more sense. I have loved Faye and Kylers story but I’m also excited to get into some of the side characters stories. I’m really looking forward to Kal and Brads stories the most.
Siobhan is such an amazing story teller. She has a way with words. This book will make your heart break and soar all at once. I am so sad to see the Faye and Kylers books come to an end but love that there will be more Kennedy books coming.
And the drama continues and the want for answers becomes essential to get my mind in check. After the cliffy in Losing Kyler I don’t know how much more of my heart can take.
Off the bat we are met with the many twisted reveals to face head on. The question is why is everyone out to get them and how to get even and to a place where Kyler, Faye, and the rest of the Kennedy clan can live a normal live.
The one that is broken the most is Kyler and after that ultimate reveal about his background comes out he needed to get away and is determined to find himself. His life was a lie and he is demanding answers. In the mist of his current ordeal Faye is starting to build a new relationship with a man who turned out to be more of a connection to her mother and the hesitancy to grow close to this new person and his extended family.
Kyler and Faye’s love story was quite a journey. This whole series took you on quite a roller coaster ride that never let you down with its constant twists and turns. Author Siobhan Davis knows how to grasp your heart, break you down to pieces, and make you believe that regardless of the situations (because there were quite a bit) love will find a way to conquer all.
Five obsessed stars for Faye and Kyler !!!
I love the first book.
I love the second book.
But…
I’m totally and absolutely obsessed with the third book.
Okay, I know that Siobhan knows how to write the book which will keep you awake all night but this book was the next level in her writing career and I’m so in love with everything written in this book.
“Keeping Kyler” is the book with many roller coasters and when you suspected that everything is in its place, you get another secret, another case which needs to be solved and that’s is the reason for your new obsession.
I have many favorite couples from books I’ve read, but Faye’s and Kyler’s relationship is something different, something you never met in any other book.
The first their relationship was forbidden, then there was crazy ex, family’s problems and so many secrets…
Too many problems which needed to be solved but they fought for their love and at the end got their HEA.
Faye is the female character who knows what she wants and she gets it one or another way. She isn’t scared of anything especially when that includes protecting Kyler.
Kyler is a hundred percent one of my new favorite male characters (and the new book boyfriend ).
In this book, there were a few parts, where his words melted my heart and I said in my head: “I wish that you exist in real life. You’re a such perfection with all your imperfections.”
Yes, he is special and I’m so jealous of Faye !
They both are heartbroken and their pasts weren’t beautiful, but together, their broken pieces are again put together because that is what love does…
It heals.
And two souls become one.
Highly recommended!!!
P. S. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series !
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
5 Dramatic Stars
Let me start this off my saying this family has more drama than the Kardashians. But I loved every single drama filled moment. This is the conclusion to the Kyler specific trilogy, and it does not disappoint. Siobhan takes you on an epic journey full of all the drama, romance, family, angst, and thrill that you can take. This story wraps up all the lose ends from book one and two regarding Kyler and Faye the rest of the boys will get their time.
“I believe in true love. The kind of soul-deep love that can only be experienced when two people meet who are destined to be together.”
This book was utterly satisfying watching from book one how Faye and Kyler are just hit’s you straight in the feels. These two literally go through hell and back and their ending was perfection. There was so much happening in this book I can’t really give it justice. But you find out more as to why Kyler is the way he is. It will break your heart and make you fall just little bit more in love with him.
“Your scar, your flaws, your fears, your pain-they’re mine too,” I whisper. “You hurt, I hurt.” I stare deep into his eyes. “I’m here for you. Let me help.”
Siobhan has created complex characters that will hold you captive from the first page, and they won’t let go. I loved this story so completely it brings forth all your emotions and keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you’re looking for wild ride filled with drama, intrigue, romance, passion and a dose of thrills this is the story for you. I cannot wait to see what happens with everyone else, especially Brad he took a piece of my heart in these stories.
It never stops!
The desire for more is always there with these books.
Im sitting here doing crazy laughs…you know like almost evil but out of nowhere.
Siobhan has truly out done herself with these books. All I can honestly say is, read these books. They will tske you on an intense journey, possibly with a few triggers along the way, but a journey you wont forget.
I highly recommend.
Happy reading!
Rating 5 stars
Keeping Kyler is another drama filled book, but this time around it has a happy ending. It’s a great conclusion to Faye and Kyler’s story. And I’m looking forward to reading about the other brothers.
This series is like a soap opera you can’t help but not want to find out how it ends even though the dramatics are way over the top. I rolled my eyes so much during this but yet couldn’t look away.
I received an advance complimentary copy of this book for free to give a voluntary honest review. This review contains only my own thoughts and opinions of this book.
I hate that I couldn’t enjoy this book as much as I had the previous three books from Siobhan Davis I’ve read. Third times a charm I guess, because I could not see that much of the beautiful writing, world build, unique personalities and drama that I had Davis pegged as an expert at, reading her other books. That’s not to say that there weren’t any. There were, but not enough comparable to Finding Kyler and Losing Kyler. Keeping Kyler was good. Just not great, sadly.
I had really high hopes and expectations with this book, which might be a part of why I was disappointed (too high expectations tends to do that for me). I was really excited about Kyler and Faye finally being together and I wanted to see their love develop and turn to an open and public relationship. And it did. However, it became a bit too much PDA and too … mushy gushy for me. Their dialogues and inner thoughts mostly only contained corny speeches and declarations of understanding and love. They could not have one normal conversation without telling the other that they loved them, or that they meant everything and nothing else mattered. It was like the author tried to force us readers to see how much they loved each other. I could see that without the repetition of “I can’t live without you”- metaphors and speeches. It just became overkill. It also felt very unrealistic. What 17 year olds talk like that and acts like that? And all the time?
Not only was the dialogues too much, I also felt like Kyler and Faye blobbed too much into one being, not being able to separate. They were way to dependent on one another and it just came out sort of clingy. They could not handle a second away from each other and the two strong separate individuals that I came to like in the previous books were gone. They could barely ever disagree and they never gave second thought to the other persons ideas or thoughts, no matter how crazy or dumb it actually was. Kyler became a different person to me than what I saw in the other books. He almost felt like another copy of Faye. Love shouldn’t mean that you change your whole personality after the other person. It should mean that two independent individuals find a common ground for their relationship as equals, but still can have different personalities and opinions without it affecting the other person or having to be with that person 24/7. This book did not complement that very well.
I make it sound like the book sucked and that is not the point that I’m trying to make. Keeping Kyler was good. It still had suspense and drama, which I love in a book. I liked Kyler and Faye together, even if I would have liked the declarations and speeches toned down and more normal dialogues between the couple, plus some independence thrown in the mix. Overall the storyline was excellent and exciting. However, as an outcome for the series so far, I’m just a bit disappointed is all. Although, I’m still excited about reading the next book!
Keeping Kyler is Siobhan Davis at her finest! You could not ask for a better, hotter, more action packed conclusion to the trilogy. This series is compulsively readable. So much of that Kennedy drama that we love so much.
We pick up where book 2 left off. Ky has taken off after learning that James is not his birth father. Faye is tracking him down determined that they will face life together. He meets his father, it doesn’t go well, and Kyler has a melt-down. Luckily Faye catches up to him soon after. It’s then that Kyler comes clean and confesses a dark secret he’s been hiding for years. It’s heartbreaking and powerful. It’s nice to see Faye be Kyler’s rock this time. These two are perfect together, the way they balance one another, support and love one another.
Faye and Kyler head back to the Kennedy’s only to have another unexpected threat arise. This one could be the end of their happiness. It can’t be overcome with all of the love and support Faye or the Kennedy’s have to offer. This book has so many twists and turns, so much drama, angst, and suspense. Ky and Faye are hit with one emotional shot after another. It seems as if fate is against them. Or maybe it’s a twisted soul. Either way it could be the end.
This book has more of everyone. More Kennedy brothers. More Brad. More of Faye’s bio-dad and her siblings. More James and Alex. More Addison (can’t get rid of that girl). Each plays their role and is necessary.
I have to add how much I loved reading Kyler’s POV this time. I have been hard on him in the past. He deserved my anger! Reading his thoughts, his feelings gutted me. I forgave him for most everything he’s done wrong and just wanted to hug him. My love for him grew leaps and bounds in this book.
This is a love story from beginning to end, however it’s also a mystery. There’s so much packed into this book it could get convoluted, yet Siobhan is a masterful writer. She takes you to the edge, then jumps over with you. It’s an over the top spectacle that you can’t help but enjoy. But it’s never too much. Her characters are all fully developed and multi-layered. We get a little more detailing about the other brothers this book, although this just adds more questions to their characters. This is all about setting up future books. The mystery is a cleverly written plot to destroy the Kennedy’s. When you are rich, famous, and sometimes thoughtless, it’s easy to make enemies. The Kennedy’s have enemies at every turn, now it’s time to pay up. Edge of your seat suspense!
I loved this series. I can’t imagine that any of the other Kennedy brothers will be able to match Kyler. His combination of brashness and vulnerability, the broken little boy with a darkness, the fiercely loving man. So swoon-worthy. I can’t imagine that he won’t always be my favorite, however I can’t wait to see if Siobhan surprises me. I look forward to another brother trying to woo me away in the next Kennedy Boys book!
I have been procrastinating writing this review for a while, because I’ve just been so emotional about the end of Kyler and Faye’s story. Sure I know they are going to show up throughout the Kennedy Boys Series here and there, but Kyler is my favorite Kennedy boy. Ky won my heart. I loved Ky and Faye’s relationship. This just goes to show how well Siobhan Davis writes her characters, she writes awesome characters. I had a really hard time letting go of the characters at the end of her Saven Series. AND THIS ISN’T EVEN THE END OF A SERIES!!! lol…I’ve been moping around , not wanting to read anything else. Don’t laugh at my pain! lol Anyway…my review….
“My entire world starts and ends with him. When he isn’t with me, he’s all I think about to the point of obsession.” Faye (Keeping Kyler)
Book three picks up right where book two left off (I love how Siobhan Davis does this), but I’m not going to say how it picks up or what’s going on, because I don’t want to spoil it for those who have not read book two. Although, I have to say “What are you waiting for?”!!! Especially if you’ve read book one, you need to read book two!!! OMG…I’m rambling…I just really love this series and highly recommend it!!!! As you can tell by the synopsis, Kyler has taken off, by himself, to track down his mom’s ex and demand answers. He has left Faye behind with just a note, no goodbye, no talking about it…just left her a note and disappeared. But Faye understands what it’s like to have your world turned upside down and the rug pulled out from under your feet, so she wants to be there for Ky. That’s the beauty of their relationship, they really do get each other and they put each other’s needs first. Now, anyway, it was a rocky start…but they have grown. So she’s there for Kyler, with all he’s going through, even when his ex tries to shake things up. Things get pretty crazy, pretty suspenseful and it will keep you guessing.
“That’s what you do when you’re in love. Nothing else matters but you, Faye.” He rubs his thumbs under my eyes, smoothing the moisture away. “Not now. Not Ever.” Kyler (Keeping Kyler)
I have to say, although I’m sad Kyler and Faye’s story has come to a close, I am really looking forward to Kalvin’s story in Loving Kalvin. He is so sweet and I want to see him have the happy ending he deserves, after all he’s been through.
I didn’t want to put this book down. It immediately drew me in.
Faye Donovan has lost a lot and is forced to move to the United States to live with family she never met, never even knew existed.
The Kennedy’s are a large family each struggling with their own problems. Wealth doesn’t buy happiness and this family definitely is not happy. There are 7 brothers who’s names all start with K. Each and every one of them suffer from their own problems then you throw into the mix a mother who has built a clothing empire and a father who put his own dreams on hold to raise the family while his wife built an empire.
Faye is thrown into a new culture not only coming from Ireland to the US but also in coming from a working class to a wealthy family where appearances are everything.
Keaton, Kalvin,Kyler and Faye each build unique relationship with one and other. It’s interesting to see these relationships grow. Kent is often in trouble. Keanu is often with jis mom modeling for Kennedy apparel. Keven and Kaden are away at Harvard but make a few appearances. Faye also makes friends with Rose and Brad who each seem to have their own problems, although Rose seems to have the least.
This book has drama and a lot if it. When it seems like the family is starting to make progress by taking one step forward they seem to take 2 steps back. I found myself constantly rooting for the family to come together and to find happiness.
I enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait to read the rest. I usually wait to start a series because I hate having to wait to see what happens next. I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and I thought it was great. I was sucked into Faye’s world from page one and it was hard to put down. Siobhan Davis has done it again and I can’t wait for the next book!
Keeping Kyler is the third title in the Kennedy Boys series, and the final installment of Faye and Kyler’s story. I’ve got to say that prior to starting this series Siobhan Davies, was a new author to me, and has cemented herself as being one of my top authors after reading these three books. I am hooked to the Kennedy Boys series, I’ve loved each book featuring this endearing and complex family, but loved Keeping Kyler.
Wow Ms Davis knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. The previous title Loosing Kyler left us with a major plot twist as a cliff hanger, and Keeping Kyler picks up where that title left of. With each title in this series there has been an element of intrigue, with secrets and characters plotting against the Kennedy family. The agenda behind all the plotting, and a range of secrets are all revealed within the story line and and all the loose ends tie together nicely.
Once again Keeping Kyler is incredibly well written, and well paced. We see more of new and existing characters with the plot twists, drama, emotion and romance, I’ve come to expect from Ms Davis stories. I loved that Keeping Kyler is told in a dual point of view, it was fantastic to get inside of Kyler’s head and see his thoughts and emotions.
This story is is sweet, sexy and emotional, and I literally read it in one sitting I just couldn’t put it down. As sad as I am to see the end of Faye and Kyler, I eagerly anticipating Loving Kalvin. I really hope that we will continue to see cameo’s of the characters I’ve come to love in the future Kennedy Boys stories. I thoroughly recommend this title to anyone who enjoys an upper young adult contemporary romance, high in emotion, angst and drama.
Before starting Keeping Kyler, I didn’t think there could possibly be any new drama in Faye’s world, and boy oh boy was I wrong. What I love most about this series is that I can get caught up in all the craziness that I secretly crave in my life without actually having to live through it. While Faye deals with psychos and near-death experiences, I get to lounge on my bed in my pajamas. Trust me, there are some major OMG (and a little scary) moments with this one.
I thought this was a beautiful conclusion to Faye and Kyler’s story and the best part is the transformation of certain characters. I couldn’t love James any more than I already do. I need to go back and read Finding Kyler again because James was an absolute train wreck in that book, and it is so nice to see how much he has changed since then. Same goes for both Kyler and Kal. I remembered how Kyler acted toward Faye when they first met and couldn’t stop smiling at how much he has matured—all thanks to Faye’s love and support. Kal’s transition begun in Losing Kyler and I was so happy to see it continue in Keeping Kyler, and Siobhan utilizes the end to set up the plot for Loving Kalvin which I know is going to be amazing. Now, Brad’s character has some interesting moments which makes me wonder what Siobhan is planning in Saving Brad.
Adam is a great character and I hope that we get to see more of him in the future books. I also enjoyed the introduction of Whitney and I am interested to see where Siobhan takes her character. I loved the twist regarding the villains and had fun trying to guess who was the main person behind everything and what their motive was.
I highly recommend this book as well as all of Siobhan Davis’ others (even if you don’t think you are a science fiction fan, I assure that you will love them all). You are missing out on life if you aren’t aware of Ariana, Cal, Zane, Sadie, Logan, and Axton.
The relationship between Kyler and Faye is beyond adorable! They have an intense, deep connection, and they are a passionate couple! Kyler and Faye are dealing with a lot, and they really need to rely on each other, but outside forces keep causing problems. There’s a lot of hidden deceptions going on, so there’s a bit of a mystery factor going on in this story, and Faye and the boys are on the hunt to figure out what in the heck is going on, and who has it out for their family. Kyler is facing some personal struggles, and facing some of these struggles causes more strife than good for Kyler, but Kyler has matured a lot from the first book, and I think he does a great job handling a whole bunch of crud being shoveled his way. Faye is also dealing with a lot, and she does a wonderful job of rising above most it. The world in this book has some really horrible people, and the teenagers are just as bad! What in the heck is wrong with some of these people!? But it all makes for an entertaining story! Keeping Kyler is interesting and heartfelt, and I still want more Kyler and Faye! I’m looking forward to reading about the other brothers, and getting more Faye and Kyler! Some of those boys really get on my nerves, so I look forward to them maturing and finding that person that they stop being a manwhore for, so maybe, just maybe, I can stop thinking they suck, lol. Great series so far!
I think Siobhan Davis may have broken me with this one. It was such an emotional rollercoaster, and I fear I will be unable to look at a book the same way for quite some time. As amazing as it is for such a thing to happen, I really feel sorry for the massive list of books I plan to read as they have a lot to live up to after this one. You see, Keeping Kyler was all I had hoped it would be. It was a perfect ending to the Faye and Kyler story arc. Not to mention, I’m so pumped for the future books – a point I will come back to later in my review.
Picking up where Losing Kyler left off, Keeping Kyler starts with a bang and does not let up. We’re pulled straight into the action and throughout the entire story the adrenaline is kicking. In typical Siobhan Davis fashion, twist after twist is thrown at us. New information is constantly being handed off. Pieces of information you may have overlooked or written off in the first book come back to bite you in this one. Do you know of Chekhov’s gun? It’s the principle that every element in a story must be necessary, if it is unnecessary it can be removed. In the first book there were a couple of things that I thought were unnecessary, and when they failed to come up again, I feared the rifle hanging on the wall would never go off. Well, let me tell you, that rifle finally went off. Things went wild in this one. All the elements were brought together, things I’d been unsure about came back into play, and I loved the way things came together in this one.
It truly was a thing of beauty.
But wait – the beauty does not stop there. Whilst the story does a wonderful job of bringing everything together from the prior books, it also adds more layers. We’re introduced to so many new themes in this one. If I were to list everything that occurred, you’d look at me as if I was crazy. Or, perhaps, you’d look at Siobhan Davis as though she was the crazy one. It’s too much, you’d think. There’s no way all of those details could be well executed, you’d fear. I can assure you, this one is jam packed with so many things and they’re all done so well. It will blow you mind in so many ways. Honestly, I want to scream out so many details, I want to share in the emotions I experienced through the events, and yet I have no wish to be that person who spoils a book for everyone else. I’m just not that girl, and you really need to go in without any expectations of what kind of scenes play out to allow you to enjoy them as much as they deserve to be enjoyed.
Still, I’m nowhere near being done with explaining to wonder that is this book.
I keep mentioning the emotional impact of this book, and I now wish to point you towards what hit me the hardest. Reading things from Kyler’s perspective absolutely broke me. The first few scenes we read from his perspective ripped my heart to pieces. I honestly believed that people could hear the pounding of my heart, I feared someone would question me about possible arrhythmia with the spluttering and skipping it was doing. It really wasn’t healthy for my heart to be beating as violently and erratically as it was when I was reading Kyler’s perceptive. Honestly, it broke me in so many ways. Although I’ve enjoyed Kyler as a character, it wasn’t until this point that I felt something for him. As soon as I started reading things from his perspective, everything I felt toward him shifted. I wanted nothing more than to pull him into my arms and hold him close, protecting him from the world.
My only displeasure with the Kyler storyline is that we didn’t get to read more from his perspective. Every time we read something from Kyler’s point of view I found myself melting inside, and when we flipped back to Faye’s perspective I felt empty. That being said, I doubt I would have survived an entire book written from Kyler’s point of view. That boy will bleed you dry. It was probably wise of Siobhan Davis to limit to the number of scenes from Kyler’s point of view, as I’m unsure whether I would have survived much more. If I were handing out stars for how my view of Kyler changed from reading this book, I would be emptying the sky of stars right now. The swooning most fans have been expressing towards Kyler throughout the first two books pales in comparison to the deep emotional connection I made to him in this book. Seriously, be still my beating heart, be still.
It isn’t simply reading things from Kyler’s perspective that will break you on the emotional front. I admit that it’s the biggest culprit, but it’s not the only thing. The events that take place throughout this book will pull your emotions in so many directions, and quite a few of those emotions will be heartache. There’s no denying the positive emotions you’ll experience throughout this story, yet this one packs a punch through pulling your heartstrings taut. So many of the storylines within this story will threaten to cripple you, will leave you fearful of whether we’ll get that happily ever after we’re hoping for.
At this point, I’d like to take a break from all my emotional fangirl gushing and commend Siobhan Davis on another factor of the story. The Kennedy Boy series is more upper young adult than Siobhan Davis’ prior books, and due to this the content within the books are heavier than in her prior books. I’d like to give Siobhan Davis a well done for pulling the hotter scenes off so well. I admit that I feel as though she fell into the Sarah J. Maas trap in that they went at it a bit much, but the way she made light of it in through the comments of the other characters meant I was able to deal with the bunny factor we seemed to embrace at points. Honestly, though, these scenes can often be extremely awkward to read yet such wasn’t the case here. It can be hard to do in young adult or even new adult books, and Siobhan Davis manages it. I could go on to share all the details of why I think it was so well done, but we’ll simply leave it with this paragraph of praise.
Now, I’ll head back to my commentary of being pumped for the future books. In this one, I feel as though all of the characters developed wonderfully. It goes without saying that Faye and Kyler developed massively – that statement falls in line with all the gushing I have done regarding the emotional impact of this book. What I really loved is that the same can be said about the other characters. All of the Kennedy boys developed so much within this book, and we finally got to see so much more of them all. This works so well in preparing us for their future books. I was so excited when I found out all of the boys would be getting their own books, but this book has worked to make me even more excited. You get an indication of where some of the stories will go, and I’m so excited to see them play out. In fact, the stories I’m most excited for changed as my views towards all of the characters developed.
Note, because of the above, there are still a few things hanging in the air. The main elements of the story are all brought together, the things relating to Faye and Kyler, yet we’re still waiting on some details to come together for other characters. It’s nothing overly major, it’s nothing that will leave you feeling as though the story wasn’t brought together, but it will leave you super excited to pick up the future books in the series so that you can see how the future plays out for the other characters you have come to know and love.
Honestly, I think this may be favourite book by the author. Saven Defiance was staying strong and holding that spot, yet the two are in a heavy battle. I fear, in all honesty, that Saven Defiance may well find itself resting in second place once the dust has settled and my emotions are less raw. Keeping Kyler really does have so much to it; it really did so much to me. As you can probably tell, it has left me all over the place. It really was extremely close to pulling the elusive five star rating from me.
I guess I should address that before I wrap up my review. I know that may will not hesitate to hand this book five stars, yet I so very rarely hand them out. Less than five percent of the ratings I have given are five star ratings. In fact, I’ve handed out more one star ratings and I absolutely hate doing such a thing. This is because I always manage to find a little something where I think ‘maybe I wasn’t quite as happy as I could have been’. With this one, it was because I worked out quite a lot of the plot twists. I wasn’t one hundred percent with the details of some, but I managed to get the more general things right. Not that it was the worst thing, far from it. I had simply been hoping I was wrong. The fact I didn’t get all of the information, though, was wonderful. The other thing is that it seemed a bit overly cute at times. Whilst I enjoyed the romance, there were a few times where I was rolling my eyes and felt a bit like the siblings in thinking it was a bit over the top. This probably has more to do with the fact that I’m still trying to deny my love for the romance genre (even if my Kindle will tell you otherwise) and can almost always find something to complain about – perhaps when I find myself a man that view will change, but the inner ogre won and I found myself sighing at some of the cuteness. Without a doubt, it’s an easy four star read, one of the strongest four-star ratings I have given this year, but my bitter mind prevented me from handing out that five star rating. If nothing else, it’s shown Siobhan Davis may well be one of the very few authors to manage to get me to hand over a five star read in the future.
Keeping Kyler by Siobhan Davis is book 3 of the Kennedy Boys series and is the continuation of Kyler and Faye’s story. You need to read Finding Kyler and Losing Kyler (book 1 and 2 of the series) before reading this book to better understand their journey.
Having read the first two books, I couldn’t wait to read Keeping Kyler and was lucky enough to win an ARC copy from the author, which I’m voluntarily reviewing. Siobhan Davis is an amazing author and she’s delivered another fantastic book. Yet again, I couldn’t put one of her books down and read it all in one evening (late nights always seem to be involved when I read one of Siobhan’s books). I absolutely loved Keeping Kyler and Siobhan should never doubt her ability as an author.
Just as Kyler and Faye have survived the battle to be together, one final challenge is sent their way and they need to be stronger than ever to ensure they survive. Old enemies return and Kyler has to face demons from his past. This time, he needs Faye’s love and support before he crumbles and the demons win. We also find out the answers to questions from the first two books and Faye meets a key person from her mother’s past who opens up more opportunities for Faye; opportunities she never expected and isn’t even sure she wants.
This book took me on an emotional roller-coaster and there are scenes that have stayed with me because of how powerful my emotions were. Siobhan gives us surprise after surprise and you won’t want to stop reading. There were times when I would be sat crying and desperately wanted to jump into the story and give Kyler the biggest of hugs. There were times when I cheered because Kyler and Faye took their relationship to the next level or could finally show their love for each other in front of everyone. They were also times when the anticipation about what would happen next had me gripped and I feared for Kyler and Faye’s survival as a couple.
My favourite quote from the book has got to be the one below as it describes Faye’s relationship with the family perfectly;
“They are far from perfect, but they’re my far from perfect”
We also learn more about Kyler’s brothers and Brad who has his own battles to fight. In this book, we get hints of what’s possibly in store for the Kennedy Boys and I can’t wait to read what Siobhan has planned for them! Each of them deserve their HEA just like Kyler but I get the feeling their journeys will also be difficult. My recommendation is that you HAVE to buy this book!!!!
Great characters, thrilling, sexy yet a little dangerous. This is an amazing series that won’t disappoint! Yummy Kyler!
An entertaining finale for Kyler and Faye’s romance! Keeping Kyler embarks you on the last bits of drama, angst and overwhelming love between them as with the rest of the Kennedy family. This young adult romance is one not to be missed and Siobhan Davis is one amazing author to charm and enthrall you page by page.
It’s time to get down to the core of the problem, to the secrets of the Kennedy family. Feelings will be hurt and barriers are tested. Another family member unveils himself within the mix causing more chaos for Faye. Can Faye truly keep Kyler or will they always be battling outside forces?
“Either we’re a team or we’re not. You can’t keep saying it and then not following through. That’s not how this works.”
In Keeping Kyler, we finally get to see who the mastermind behind the shadows is that has caused such an uproar and it’s a shocker on how it plays out. The writing keeps you on your toes, never dull for a second.
Siobhan has truly written a strong female lead character throughout this trilogy of books so far. She is the epitome of a feisty, mighty, independent, no bare woman… which I loved that! Faye is the backbone to Kyler, her cousins and her friends. She has been through so many hardships in the amount of time she’s been in America but she always seems to make it out unscathed.
Along with Faye’s character, Siobhan writes all her characters extremely well, leaving no detail left behind. All Kennedy boys, as well as Alex and James are embedded within you, becoming a second skin. Their problems seem to be your problems and emotions within you escalate. Even though this is Ky and Faye’s story, we see the growth of all Kennedy cousins and I for one can’t wait to read their books eventually.
I am sad to see their story end, but I know we will see them reappear throughout the other novels. They captured my heart with their rocky start but enveloped me with their lovable romance.
“He’s all I’ll ever want.
All I’ll ever need.
My heart and my mind are in no doubt.”
This is the third book in the Kennedy Boys series and let me tell you the ride is just as wild in this book as it was in the first two. There is plenty of romance, action, mystery and awesome drama throughout the entire book. Enough that I was going WTF, the unpredictability kept me on my toes and kept me pulled into the story. I can not wait to read the next book of this series to see what happens with Kalvin!
