Jackson Bishop is your typical playboy. Unpredictable, charming, and overly confident.Growing up in Texas, the ranch life is all he’s ever known. Horses and late night partying are his lifestyles, and all the local girls know it too. Riding lessons aren’t the only things taught at the stables, and he makes sure clients never leave unsatisfied. Everyone knows Jackson’s a wild card, but not … not everything is as it seems. He may be a womanizer on the surface, but he’s hiding deep feelings about the one who’s had his heart since he was a teen. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as roping her in and claiming her as his.
Kiera Young is well-known for her sassy nature and outgoing personality. Though she’s one of the best horse trainers in the area, she’s never been able to tame her best friend and the man she’s secretly loved since she was fifteen—Jackson Bishop. She’s waited years for him to confess his true feelings but as time goes on, she decides she’s done waiting. Kiera finally meets a man who promises to give her the world, and when he pops the question, she says yes—knowing they’re both ready to settle down and start a family.
Even if her heart beats for another man.
Jackson’s certain he’s lost Kiera for good and has no one to blame but himself. However, on the day of her wedding, he can’t bring himself to watch the woman he loves walk down the aisle to someone else. Kiera’s already having second thoughts and knows she can’t get married without his support. It’s not until she’s at the altar that she realizes she can’t let Jackson go and will do whatever it takes to keep him—even if it means running out on her own wedding.

Burn baby, burn.
Kennedy Fox have perfected the art of the slow burn and while Keeping Him as a novel wasn’t the slowest burn I’ve ever read, as a series this couple definitely wins the award for slowest relationship movement EVER. These two are as hard headed as they come, meaning the flame between them burns so darn bright anyone can see it, except them. We’ve gotten to know Jackson and Kiera throughout the previous novels in the Bishop Brothers series, so we already know they’re meant to be, but the ride they’ve been on is a twisted on and it’s hard to tell where it’s going. With a ring on her finger and Trent waiting for her at the end of the aisle Kiera has to make some tough choices about love, life, and the future she wants for herself. If you think an angsty novel feels like a rollercoaster, try falling in love with Jackson Bishop when you’re a teenager.
“I was never the right guy for you, but you were always the right girl for me.”
Keeping Him has been at the top of my most anticipated list since we first met Alex in Taming Him. Sure, I have a soft spot for Evan and I never could have predicted how John’s story would work out, but Jackson is the temptation no girl can deny and I was desperate to see what Kennedy Fox had in store for him. Turns out, it was a lot. We get to know the fast-talking, whiskey drinking cowboy and find out there’s quite a lot more to him than one night stands and being late to work always. Sure, he’s easy on the eyes, but there’s a lot of heart to him and I really like that he was the last brother to have a book in the series. He’s easy to judge, but even easier to fall for once you know him. And Kiera? Every female is on her side. She’s beautiful, smart, and considered part of the Bishop’s family, but her friendship with Jackson was always just a hopeful plea for more. I cheered that girl on as she fought for what she wanted, both in learning to love another and in discovering her own personal self worth. She has so much more strength to her and I love that as a character she gets an individual story that has a lot of meaning to it. I struggled with a lot of her choices, but I also appreciated the growth she went through because of them. Told from dual perspectives with past and present chapters we get to know the teens they used to be and the adults they’ve grown into. These two have so many mistakes between them, but watching them work through them is what makes this book so good.
Truth or dare?
Like all KF books, there’s drama, smut, and in the Bishop Brothers’ cases, a whole heaping pile of family loving. This little town of Texans has been such a joy to read about, I feel like I’ve been there and know every single person. Keeping Him was a fantastic read for me, I loved the drama, the bit of suspense we got, and of course all the romancing. No one does it better than the Bishop Brothers, that’s for sure. This book has been more than worth the wait and if you’ve not met the brothers yet, get on it.
I loved Jackson story being the outgoing womanising twin it seems hes never going to settle day with all of his brother ans sister settleing and having families of their own and feeling like hes losing them all Jackson does what he does best, that is until his best friend and unbeknown to him the only woman he will love. it dosent take long for him to realise Trent is no good for Kiera she deserves better. This is a hot story of family love and hot cowboys. A must read series that you will fall in love with them all.
WOWZER!!!! I knew I was going to love Jackson and Kiera but this was over the top! I thought for sure at the end of the series that John would still be my favorite but nope!! Jackson just took over first place. Yes I hate that it took him so many years to finally do what he should but boy was the wait worth it. This was by far my favorite book of the series!!!! I loved that you gave us an epilogue in the future by a few years as well to see a little more on the Bishops. I look forward to those bonus scenes and all that you promised as well in the back. Amazing job and I highly recommend. It can be read as a standalone but I totally suggest you read the whole series first.
This book is AMAZING!!!
The icing on the cake!
Loved Jackson and Kiera’s story. This book is filled with all the feels of a love that slowly burned for 15 years. These two were the perfect match for each other but yet neither one felt that they were good enough for the other. When they finally realized what was right in front of them the entire time it was magical, there were fireworks, and this is a love that will last a lifetime. I’m sad to see this series end but without a doubt know that Kennedy Fox will publish more beautifully written, passionate love stories. I am so excite to see what they have in store for us next!
Loved. Loved. Loved!
Keeping Him is the most anticipated book of Kennedy Fox ever!
An Epic story.
I first knew about Jackson and Kiera on the Checkmate series-This is Reckless and This is Effortless from there all thru out the Bishop brothers series.
Jackson is your typical idiot bloke who he thought he was doing the right thing for Kiera until it was too late…you can feel the hesitation… the pull…the sadness…the care… the love but in the end it was worth the wait.
This 2 characters gripped you and took you on a roller coaster of emotions… you feel for both of them…
until Tanner stepped in
the support from Colton…
This is a must read book and it won’t disappoint you… I promise you my fellow reader… you’ll be over flowing with love
Wow was this book a roller-coaster of emotions.
The anticipation for this book was well worth it. While reading I was cussing up a storm at Jackson and Keira because of all the thing that they did to each other, as well as other things.
Jackson has been the playboy through out this series and we find out why in this book. All I can say is d*** he should have stepped up and owned his feelings. However, I am so glad that he didn’t because it add a dimension to this story that was amazing.
Keira has always loved Jackson, and her feelings were well known to all those around her, except to the one person that really mattered. Keira has finally moved on from her feelings as best as she can. That is until she receives a note, which gutted me. Everything changes in a heart beat, will Keira and Jackson get their happily ever after or will someone put an end to it?
I can say that Kennedy Fox saved the best brother for last. This book was really the best of the series and what a why to end it.
I loved it! Great read!
I can’t believe that this is the end of the series! I have been waiting for Jackson’s book since the beginning, so to say I had high expectations is an understatement. Although Kennedy Fox did an amazing job of giving Jackson and Kiera their happy ending, I feel like the story dragged in a lot of places.
This story beings the night before Kiera’s wedding, Jackson is trying to be the loyal friend but will he be able to watch the love of his life marry another man? Obviously not, or there would be no story! The usual hijinx occurs and Kiera ends up becoming a runaway bride and chases after her cowboy.
My biggest issue with this story is the back and forth. We are in the present leading up to Kiera’s wedding, but then suddenly we flashback to before the wedding for a majority of the book to get back to the present time. Once we are back in the present time the book continues to have a back and forth with Kiera’s ex-fiance bringing everything to a head at the end. Now while I am probably in the minority, I feel like we should have either started before the wedding or left the flashback parts out, by the time I got through half of it I found myself just wanting to skip to the present.
Although I did have that issue with the story I would recommend you read this final book. It rounds out the series perfectly and ties up everything for all the characters in a nice bow.
