My Thoughts On Keeping Her Close:
This is a fast and fun read by a new author to me. I knew what was going to happen, but that didn’t mean I didn’t need to keep reading this book. It was definitely enjoyable.
Ready for a night curled up on the couch with a cup of tea and a good book? Then this is the book for you. It will keep you reading, won’t be boring, and yet you’re not going to be waiting for someone to break down the door and murder you in your sleep.
I really love a good romance for right before bed. It sets the tone for a peaceful night. I’m a huge fan of suspense as well but not right before I curl up to sleep. I want peaceful sleep not waking every minute to make sure the doors are locked!
So, if you’re like me and enjoy a good romance from time to time definitely check this one out. The storyline has been done before yet the author makes it her own and makes you want to keep reading.
I enjoyed the author’s voice. It’s similar but yet different from others which is great. I’m going to be looking for more of her books now. Perfect winter reads with a glass of tea and a fuzzy blanket while the kids sleep.

This story had a slow beginning but it got better and better!
I’m so glad that I’m the person God had meant for me to be.
I’m free to go wherever I want and whenever I want without a bodyguard. Now I’m not saying that’s all bad but heck give the girl a little freedom.
But I guess I can see Harper’s dad’s point if view. He just wants to keep his daughter safe.
I have to admit Harper’s bodyguard ain’t so bad. He’s a fierce protector but has some weird family issues. I guess every family has their own guarded secrets and they’re bound to get out sooner or later.
I found this a light, clean and sweet read.
I think my favorite scene was the yoga class. And really you cant blame Harper for her actions !
Carol Ross has done an amazing job with this book. I enjoyed it to the hilt!!
This is definitely a recommended read! Oh and this a new to me author also. Since ive started blogging I’ve met all kinds of awesome authors!

Keeping Her Close, the latest in A Pacific Cove Romance by Carol Ross is so well deserving of High 5 Stars! Be expected to stay up all night for this one! A truly sweet romance with a strong heroine and most romantic and passionate Hero. I really fell in love with Harper Jansen’s character, she’s strong, and feisty, yet sweet and very loving. Keeping Her Close

*REVIEW*
Keeping Her Close is the ideal story if you want something sweet, easy to read and doesn’t require a ton of time. I like these types of simple romance books. Harper is a billionaire’ s daughter in need of protection. Enter Kyle, the security consultancy hired as her bodyguard. It’s an odd situation, though, because Harper was the fiance of Kyle’s late best friend. Would you feel weird if you developed feelings for the woman your deceased best friend was going to marry? I’m just not sure. It’s heartbreaking yet inspiring. Regardless, Harper and Kyle have a connection, and spending time together only strengthens whatever is already there. Kyle is stoic and good hearted with some family stuff, and he is torn between love and loyalty. Harper is a lovely soul who is afraid to love or trust. Do they have a chance for something good here if they so choose? Will past issues and pain be too much to overcome? It’s an engaging well written story with great dialogue, likeable relatable characters, romance and an all around wholesomeness about it that I enjoyed. I recommend for a good clean romantic read!
Keeping her close
Kyle is applying to be bodyguard for Harper and teach how to be safe. He used to work for her late husband but she doesn’t recognize him at first.
A lot is found out about her late husband Lawton. Read and see what it is.
I loved Kyle and his ideas for keeping her safe. He really has some good points.
A fast reading book that was very enjoyable.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Prism book tours. This book review is my own opinion.
This story follows Kyle as Harper’s bodyguard who also happens to be his best friends fiancee. Kyle is very serious about this job and attention to detail and I really liked his character. I liked Kyle’s and Harper’s banter and friendship back and forth. Easy to read, interesting plot and great characters. Elements of trust, forgiveness and love through out this sweet clean romance story. I really liked it!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
This book was a sweet romance (note, it was just romance- not romantic suspense despite the hero being a body guard) between a free-spirited millionaire’s daughter turned photographer and a straight-laced, stoic former Navy SEAL turned security consultant. Further complications arise from the fact that she’s his late best friend’s ex-fiancé; the late best friend he is even now trying to investigate the death of. On top of it all, he has relationship issues, and she has trust issues… And she’s the one person who can tell him about her ex-fiance, but it’s not something she can straight-out tell him.
There were two aspects of the story that stood out more than the others. One was the adorable banter between the survivor-minded hero and the much more spontaneous heroine, as he tried so hard to teach her how to be safe. The other best aspect was his family, and their unique dynamics, with his in-laws as close as blood relations. An all-around pleasant story.
I received a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
“Everyone thinks forgiveness is a two-step process. Forgiveness and acceptance. And sometimes it is that simple. But sometimes, like with you, it’s not. It’s a three-step process. If you wrong someone, it isn’t up to you to decide if they should forgive you. You apologize, and then they get to decide what to do with it. But it doesn’t work unless you then accept their forgiveness. Whether you think you deserve it is irrelevant.”
I haven’t read that many of Carol Ross’ books but am satisfied every time I finish her book. The author has deeply wounded characters in need of healing and she has a way of creating a comfortable atmosphere and setting that invites you to come into the story and stay a while. I haven’t read any of the other Pacific Cove Romance books but didn’t feel like I missed out on anything. If you enjoy contemporary romance, you will enjoy this book (and likely others in the series too).
Kyle, a former Navy SEAL, is the protective sort who is looking for a job as a civilian. He’s hired by a billionaire scientist to protect his daughter Harper who also was the fiancee of Kyle’s deceased best friend. Harper, a creative and free-spirited photographer, can’t be more opposite from Kyle, a regimented and structured military guy. As Kyle tries to keep Harper safe, attraction and deeper feelings rage but their relationship trips over many potholes like Kyle’s attempt to find out what really happened to his friend/Harper’s fiance, Harper’s issue with trusting others, and Kyle’s uneasy family dynamics. They both need to learn and accept forgiveness granted and grace given.
I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Prism Book Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
I liked this story. This is a genre that I don’t normally read, but I became very interested in Harper and Kyle’s story. Their characters were relatable. Harper was a very caring, outgoing young woman who was unspoiled by her father’s wealth, but was struggling after her fiancé’s untimely death. Kyle, who has been hired by Heather’s dad to watch over her security, was wanting to make amends with his family after being apart from them for some time. Their romance was a sweet one, and I enjoyed how the author brought them together. This is a clean, sweet book with no foul language. This is also the first book I’ve read by this author, and I look forward to reading another of her books.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
Keeping Her Close is the third installment from A Pacific Cove Romance series by Carol Ross. This is the first book I have read by Carol Ross. She has earned herself a new fan. I loved this sweet and heartwarming romance. I enjoyed getting to know Harper and Kyle. They were so entertaining together. I found myself laughing at some scenes.
I am giving Keeping Her Close five plus stars. I would love other books in A Pacific Cove Romance series.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
It was just a somewhat easy bodyguard job, so how hard could it be. Well, if the young lady he was to watch wasn’t a daughter of a billionaire it wouldn’t be do bad. And to make it worse, she was a photographer, so she had no set hours. Every day, sometimes every hour was different. How was he suppose to keep the lady safe. But former navy SEAL Kyle Frasier was hired now, so he had a job to do, including staying far away from Harper Jansen.
I usually don’t read a lot of books about billionaires, it doesn’t fascinate me reading about money. But this one was different for me. I really like Harper’s personality, and I like how she wants to make her own way through her photography. She didn’t let her very rich, controversial and successful businessman Father get in the way of living her life. And I loved Kyle as well. His attention to detail was amazing, which is what he is trained to do, but it was so interesting to read. And his tender moments with Harper were very heartwarming.
Ms. Ross does an amazing job creating her characters, and her expert writing make Harper and Kyle’s story entertaining and fun to read. Will Kyle keep this job strictly business, or will he give in to the strong feelings that keep growing for Harper, the longer he is around her? You will find answers to this question and enjoy hours of fun and entertainment when you read “Keeping Her Close” by Carol Ross.

Harper Jensen Bellaire is a character you’re not going to want to miss. Her tendency to blurt out information without fully comprehending a situation is obvious (and quite humorous) the first time she meets Kyle Frasier. Despite her father’s success, she’s kind and down to earth. She’s been hurt by others and guards her heart.
At first, Kyle comes across as intense and rigid which makes those moments when his sense of humor ekes through all the more fabulous. I mean, the yoga class scene alone makes the entire book worth reading. While Kyle’s family dynamics aren’t perfect, each of them is trying to figure their relationships out in their own way. And the Frasier clan makes Keeping Her Close all the sweeter with their all-encompassing welcome of Harper.
The story itself is believable and engaging. Carol Ross also leaves a little tidbit of who may show up in a future book (at least I hope we get to hear more about Rhys!). If you enjoy clean romance with well-developed characters and touches of humor, this is one not to miss.

4 1/2 STARS!
KEEPING HER CLOSE is book three in the emotionally riveting Pacific Cove Romance series by Carol Ross and brings us the story of a former Navy SEAL turned bodyguard and a photographer in a bit of an opposites attract story.
Harper is immediately an easy to relate to character even though she’s keeping some info about her late fiancee under her sleeve for a good bit of the book. She’s kindhearted and seems always willing to give of her time.
Kyle is conflicted a good part of the book because he likes Harper, but he feels so much allegiance to his late best friend who she was engaged to.
I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys their romance on the sweet side with strong character development and deep story lines. This series as a whole has been really good and I always look forward to a return visit to Pacific Cove.
Keeping Her Close by Carol Ross is a whirlwind of emotions that are all over the spectrum of feelings. Harper is a great person, and so is Kyle, even if he doesn’t think that he is.
Will Kyle’s duty prevail, or will he’s emotions win?
Harper Jansen Bellaire
Harper Jansen Bellaire is our heroine and love interest to Kyle Fraiser. Her father is an eccentric environmental scientist that has people upset with him over his newest invention. He hires Kyle to help him out with his daughter. She is a photographer and has not been leaving her house much since her ex-fiance died. Trust for Harper has become an essential part of building a foundation for a relationship. As, Owen, her ex-fiance that died, broke her trust. Harper is a great person that is so welcoming that people feel her compassion.
Kyle Frasier
Kyle Frasier is a retired Navy SEAL and has a prospect of new employment at a military security company. He doesn’t like lying. Kyle is hard on himself, especially around his family. He was terrible when he was younger and feels that they shouldn’t forgive him. Protecting Harper is his job, and he puts on a front to hide his insecurities and other feelings. However, his family sees through his facade. It’s lovely to see how Kyle works around things in his life to become a better man. Sadly though, he learns something that he wished that he didn’t about two men in his life.
Four Stars
Keeping Her Close by Carol Ross is an excellent novel of discovering love, that you are worth more than you think, and that people aren’t who you think that they are. Ms. Ross is an excellent writer, and this book is no exception. I can’t wait to read more from this series. I am giving Keeping Her Close by Carol Ross, a four-star rating, and recommending it to anyone that reads sweet and contemporary romances.

This was a great story by Carol Ross. Kyle is hired to protect Harper and is somewhat torn as to his feelings for her and respect for the memory of his best friend. As they continue to be together, strong feelings develop and his isn’t sure of the best way to handle them.
It’s a really good story about feelings that could easily happen under these circumstances. It’s a sweet story and I really enjoyed it so much! Sorry to see it end! You will love it!
I received an ebook copy. All thoughts are my own.
I loved this book. Great characters. Sweet and heartwarming. Laugh out loud moments.
Harper Jansen wasn’t ready for Kyle Frasier. When he came to her house she thought he was her blind date. What a great moment.
When she found out who he really was things were a tad tense. He was her ex-fiancé’s best friend. Now he was supposed to be her bodyguard.
Kyle was only hired to protect Harper, but things weren’t that easy. He came to like her. When the company he was going to be working for wanted him to spy on her.
Buy the book to see what happens next.
I received a copy for an honest review from the author. All my thoughts and feelings are my own.
Harper used to date Owen who happens to be Kyle’s best friend. Owen and Kyle used to be Seals together and they would take their leave together. Owen introduced Kyle to a Scientist several times. This scientist happens to be Harper’s Father.
Owen died in an accident and Kyle came back home to be with his family and to take a job with the company that Owen had quit the seals and joined. It had been a while since Owen’s accident.
Kyle was in the same building as Harper’s Dad when an incident occurred. Harper’s Dad hired Kyle to watch over his daughter and to teach her how to take security measures so she would be safe with or without a body guard.
An awesome book. I really enjoyed it.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. A tragic that ended up opening Kyle’s eyes on his friend Owen. Also how Harper fits into all this. Then how Kyle feels about his family and deals with it. A story you want to pick up for a good read.
