What a suspenseful, nerve wracking, steamy as hell, funny, and awesome story! I fell in love with both Elijah and Ava and their chemistry was on fire as well as beautiful <3 These two were definitely meant for one another and it shows as you read the pages of their story 🙂 the ending was amazing and I seriously can't wait for the next read from this fantastic author already! 🙂
Ava witnesses a brutal attack on the way home from her shop only to find the man attacking is a man she has known for years. Although he is arrested, he escapes and Ava finds herself shuffled from place to place trying to keep her safe. When she ends up in California under the protection of Elijah.
Elijah doesn’t want to babysit a witness who is tied to an old case he worked on. When he meets Ava though he changes his mind quickly and falls hard for the woman he is sworn to protect.
This was just what I was looking for when I read the synopsis for this book. I enjoyed every page of this story and thought the pace was perfect. I liked all the characters and it surprised me in a few places which is always a plus. Excellent.
Intense, thrilling story – suspenseful and full of hotness!
From the first page till the very last one this book kept me on the edge of my seat. Well maybe except the hot, melting my kindle, scenes. But they stirred completely different feelings…
I fell in love with Elijah and Ava almost at the same time when they fell in love with each other. Instant connection and chemistry almost palpable also outside the electronic pages. A lot of action, twists and turns. Plot was very well paced, didn’t give a minute to catch a breath. From one event to the other either inside the apartment or outside.
If you could claim person as yours by just looking into their eyes that would be what happened to both Elijah and Ava. They just new they belonged together but the circumstances of their meeting haven’t been near to perfect.
The ending was amazing and I seriously can’t be more happy and satisfied after reading this fantastic story.
This was a good read. It was nice and quick. I did like the romance between Ava and Eli. It I did want to smack Ava at the end. You know someone is after you but you don’t bother to pay attention? Ugh.
This is quite the compelling read! It is a fast pace on the edge of your seat page-turner! The story line is riveting, well thought out, well written, and consistent. Lots of action, suspense, drama, stalking, danger, twists, serial killing, and other heart-racing adventure to look forward to in this story. The characters Elijah and Ava you will love; their chemistry is intense, instant, and undeniable! Looking forward to reading the next book from this author. A recommended read.

I enjoyed Ava and Elijah’s story. I liked that she was under his protection and they needed to find out who the serial killer was. I liked the suspense and romance and felt there was a great balance of both.

While this is only a short story there is plenty of attention and dram in the book more than you would expect in a shorter read
Ava has a stalker and he is killing women that look like her when she sees something that is absolutely horrifying she has to be put into police protection. Elijah is the officer that has been working on this case for over a year he hates doing witness protection but he knows he is the best man for the job as he knows all the details When he first meets Ava he also realises that he wants to have and protect her for the rest of their loves together He may know that he wants her but he knows that she is a virgin and will give her whatever time she needs to come to him
Ava is on her way home from work and happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and sees something that she should not have. This completely throws a curve into her life as now she finds herself under witness protection. Her protector and new found bodyguard is Elijah. He loves his job, in fact his world is his job but he does not want bodyguard duty. At least until he meets Ava. These two have a strong instant chemistry that adds a whole lot of heat to the dangerous situation Ava has already gotten herself into. Can these two keep their hands to themselves to avoid complications and distractions? Or is life too short to let a shot at happiness go by? Enjoy!

This is definitely one of the best “protector” romance I have read. From their first meeting Ava and Eli are meant for each other and you can actually feel that love through this author’s words. One really cute surprise about Ava’s relative toward the end. Excellent read!

I have been looking forward to this book since I found out Elena M. Reyes was going to be part of the operation alpha books. The book was great, and this author did an amazing job with the plot, characters, and action. The suspense was just perfect for this story and had me on my toes a time or two. Eli knew Eva was going to be his, but he needed to first keep her safe from the person that is trying to hurt her. Eva felt safe with Eli, and her feelings for him were growing just as fast but will Eli be able to keep her safe? Amazing story with and a fantastic ending. I can’t wait for more from this author.

I loved the chemistry between Eli and Ava! He’s sworn to protect her, but they can’t ignore the passion burning so hot! I wished this was a longer story, but it was just enough to give us their story with some good thrilling suspense and romance! I’m very much hoping there will be more to come!

A quick read from Elena Reyes, I like it.
Feels a little bit too rush at the first few chapter for me. I think the author can make it more suspence and intense at that first part.
Fast pace and love at the first sight with little angst, steamy. love Ava n Elijah chemistry.
Over all, the author done a great job in romance department. As usual, she know how to mix the chemistry to sizzle.
I loved this book! I thought it was well written and it kept you on edge wondering if they were ever going to catch this psycho.
Ava never thought her life would in the hands of the police but when she meets the person whom she will be staying with, I too would be having a hard time trying to keep my hormones in check.
Elijah is someone who will do anything to protect what is his and one look at Ava and he knows that she belongs to him.
These two have an amazing bond that neither of them can let go and it’s something we all look forward to in a relationship.
Now that she is in his home and in his head he will do everything in his power to find this killer and end him once and for all!

Keeping Ava isn’t my typical read. I don’t usually go for the military/soldiers/police type trope.
There was something about Elijah though. Something that just captures your attention and holds you captive. He’s strong, sexy, smart and a total alpha. I LOVED him! It was so cute seeing him with Ava. He was incredibly sweet and protective but knew when to draw the line if it came down to her safety.
Ava has been through A LOT . And she’s struggling to grasp some semblance of control in her life. But with fear and desperation on her head, she has very little options and no one to turn to. No one but Elijah Ford. And he knows how to take very good care of her. In every sense of the word.
Elena managed to pack an incredible story in just 200 pages. It was the perfect mixture of romance, steam, heat, humour and action to hold your interest and do the story and characters justice. I really enjoyed it and strongly recommend it!

Keep Ava is a short story that takes place in Operation Alpha, a fan fiction world for Susan Stoker’s SEAL of Protection, Delta Force Heroes, and Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Worlds. It is the story of Ava Perry and Elijah (Eli) Ford. Ava needs protection against a madman, and is sent to be under the protection of Eli. Since their first meeting, the chemistry for these two was off the charts! Elena did a great job of creating a push and pull from both characters, building the anticipating for when they finally gave in to their feelings for one another. I loved this book because Ava was the perfect balance of everything. She was strong, yet vulnerable. She had a lot of love to give, but was cautious with that love and most of all she wasn’t TSTL. While Eli was Alpha, he let Ava come to him when she was ready and that is honestly the best part of this story for me. He wasn’t overly domineering was very patient and understanding. While reading their story I had a smile on my face the entire time, which is not something that happens very often. This book further cemented Elena Reyes in my heart. I cannot wait to see what is coming next from her.
This short story fulfilled every need I have in a romance book. It was engaging, showed devotion and an all sound 5 star romance book. The length was great- but I always want more from this author. She makes me obsess until I get to the last word – and I loved we found out where they ended up.

Elena M. Reyes did a great job on this story, Keeping Ava was a good, the plot was written well with many emotions, it was suspenseful, action, twist and more.
From the moment Elijah and Ava meet, they had an instant attraction. They were drawn to one another. The chemistry was sexy between them. They were good for each other. But their road was far from easy. Elijah was very protective when it came to Ava, he’d do anything for her. They were great together.
I enjoyed this story, it was great.

Great read! I really enjoyed Eli and Ava’s story. It was so sweet but also sexy and filled with suspense. It kept me turning the pages way past bedtime.
