When Ainsley’s private life shows up on the internet her phone wouldn’t stop ringing and she takes off to get away from everything. Ainsley ends up calling her former best friend Marta who lets her stay with her for a few days. Marta pushed for Ainsley to join her out clubbing, but to also bring her camera, so Ainsley did. Tanner is a hot hockey goalie who doesn’t do relationships. Tanner was sweet and kind to her because her friend left her alone, didn’t answer her phone, and Ainsley doesn’t know Marta’s address. Tanner felt something different about this girl and wants to learn more about her. Could she only be more than a one-night stand or something more?

I’m a fan of sports romance and this was an okay read. Although the characters were sweet, the story started off slow for me but it gradually improved. There’s a whole lot of drama that didn’t really mesh well and made it into a high school type that I didn’t really enjoy. I did love Tanner’s character and the author did a good job showing his character growth throughout, but Ainsley character was a bit immature. This was my first read by the author and overall was an okay read.
wow what a story .. the characters have a good chemistry with each other. in addition to all the drama, there are also plenty of funny and sweet moments. i enjoyed this story. I myself have not yet read the other parts, but that should not suppress the fun of this story. from me 5 stars

While I admit that I do have a soft spot for Hockey over any other sport romance, I found that I really enjoyed the characters in this story. I enjoyed the story line and the flow of the story was good for the most part. I’m looking forward to more from this author.

What I enjoyed about this book surprised me because I am not a hockey fan, but I really liked the insight into hockey goalie thinking and training. I also liked the cohesiveness of the team and their WAGs.
I liked Tanner and his transformation during the story. It didn’t go well with what, I thought, was a high school type tone of the rest of the book. The drama was rather immature and that made it hard for me to invest in the relationship between Ainsley and Tanner. Tanner I understood, but Ainsley didn’t seem grown up or confident most of the time. She worried about things that were not very important but that went along with the tone of the story.

The author has given us characters we can care about. Tanner, hockey player, is in the professional slump of a lifetime. Ainsley, college student, is running from school when an ex-boyfriend posts horrible things about her online. They meet when at a Club and have a fling. However, Tanner realizes that Ainsley is his lucky charm, maybe even more than that and needs to track her down.
