Tanner’s not used to hearing the word no. But when the girl from out of town leaves the athlete aching, his game rebounds in a big way — and now he’s convinced she’s the reason for his success. Only problem? He’s got no idea how to find her. Is Ainsley the keeper he’s been waiting for?

Ainsley flees her college due to a very public break up so she thinks staying with an old friend, Marta, would help. Marta is ready to go party yet leaves Ainsley in the VIP area. While there, she meets Tanner. Not knowing who he is, she ends up going home with Tanner since she doesn’t know Marta’s address. Later, Marta has a photoshoot with a hockey player and she wants Ainsley to take some pictures. But it turns out the hockey player is Tanner. Marta makes a play for him and can’t get why he isn’t wanting her but then she sees Tanner and Ainsley kissing in his car.
I wasn’t a fan of this story as I couldn’t stand Marta (there is a twist in the story) and her immature and selfish attitude. How Ainsley put up with it is beyond me. Tanner was nothing but sweet but wished he would have stood up to Marta for Ainsley. But I like the HEA.

Struggled to like any of the characters, especially Marta the ex best friend. The romance was very much about physical attraction and you don’t get to see them interact unless he was buying something for her. There were confusing sentences and either extra/missing words from sentences.
Ainsley has had her most personal moments she shared with a former boyfriend exposed to the internet. She can’t take the looks she’s getting at school so she packs and decides to reconnect with an old friend. Her first night they go out and her friend ditches her for a man. Ainsley meets Tanner while she is waiting for her friend to come back. Tanner is drawn to this woman that has no clue who he is and is just interested in him as a man. They end up at his place because she can’t locate her friend but they spent the night talking. The next morning she is gone and when Tanner play well at his next game he puts her down as a good luck charm. Will he be able to find her to see if she’d be interested in something more with him? Will Ainsley find out who tore her world apart?
This is an amazing story that I couldn’t put down once I started it. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Ainsley accused Marta of sleeping with her high school boyfriend in the past. They’ve moved past that now, and they’re friends again. Ainsley needs to escape a situation (her ex-boyfriend released nude photos), and she heads to Dallas to see Marta. They go out clubbing, and Marta disappears with a guy, leaving Ainsley with not transportation, and no idea of Marta’s address. Enter Tanner, goalie for the Dallas Devils. He rescues her, if rescue means takes her to his home for an amazing night that doesn’t include actual sex. They don’t exchange phone numbers or other personal information, so when she leaves, she’s gone. He needs her back. Now. He’s been in a slump, but pulls out of it after that one night together. This is my first read from this author, and it makes me want to read the rest of this series. The book is so well-written, and I love the story line. Ainsley and Tanner have great chemistry, and they’re a really steamy couple. He and his team have a terrific family feeling. Marta is a drama queen, and hard to like as a person. She does have one redeeming value, though – because her, Ainsley and Tanner met. I’m looking forward to more from this author.

An amazing fast pace riveting book four in the Dallas Devils series! It is well written, entertaining, flows smoothly, emotionally deep, and will hold your attention from start to finish with drama, ups and downs, betrayal, twists and turns, off the charts instant chemistry, and humour. The characters are real, well developed, perfect together, and you will love and root for them. A Must Read!

You know how every now and then there is a book, a story, that just kind of sneaks up on you? It resonates with you? It sticks? This is one of those books for me. I really thought I was going to be disappointed in Tanner in the beginning of the book. I really thought I was going to figure out that maybe Ainsley was one of those heroines who are just TSTL, for her inability to deal with what was going on around her, to suck it up and figure a way out, for her inability to understand Marta, but then it happened, it just snuck up on me and before I knew it I was in love with Tanner. I was so pleased with the way Ainsley was living up to her end of the bargain to provide me with a heroine that I could love! I truly feel good about reading this story, loving this book, the passion, the chemistry, not just between Tanner and Ainsley, but between the team, the boys, the guys and the WAGS, the girls, the once that stand behind the players and are not just a trophy wife or girlfriend. These characters are realistic, they are well developed and they are plain old fun.

This is a sweet story about second chances after disaster. Ainsley and Tanner are cute together and end up finding what they were missing. I love how other characters from the previous books popped up and added to the dynamics in the story.

An entertaining sweet sports romance. This well written fast paced romance includes angst, drama, interesting twists, and betrayal. The characters are interesting and have amazing chemistry. I voluntarily read and reviewed this incredible ARC.
Ainsley Carter is a photography major and has been humiliated by having her nude pictures splashed across the internet. Ainsley believes her bitter ex is behind the leaked photos. Ainsley reaches out to the one person she believes would not judge her, but she hasn’t spoken to Marta since she and Marta split when Ainsley accused Marta of sleeping with her high school boyfriend. Marta invites Ainsley to visit her in Dallas. Ainsley meets a seriously hot man at a club after Marta ditches her. Tanner Vaughn is the starting goalie for the Dallas Devils hockey team. Tanner is looking for a big payday with his next contract but has been in a terrible slump. Tanner offers to help Ainsley find Marta’s apartment building. When they are unable to find the right building, Tanner offers Ainsley his guest room or to pay for a hotel room for her. Ainsley and Tanner are attracted to each other and end up making out in Tanner’s apartment, but Ainsley puts the brakes on before they go too far. Tanner is disappointed when he finds Ainsley gone the next morning without ever getting her name or her number. Will Tanner be able to find his good luck charm, Ainsley, after he has an amazing night between the pipes? How will Ainsley react when she sees Tanner show up to a photo shoot she is shooting for Marta? Can Tanner convince Ainsley to see him despite Marta? How will Marta react when she sees Ainsley and Tanner together? What does Marta do to get revenge on Tanner and Ainsley? Can Tanner convince Ainsley that she is the one for him? How will Ainsley react when she learns who really leaked her nude photos? Will Ainsley and Tanner find their happily ever after? The chemistry between Ainsley and Tanner is smoking hot. I love how Tanner and his teammates rib each other, and I loved how the wives and girlfriends of Tanner’s teammates welcomed Ainsley into their group. I love June Winters and would highly recommend getting Keeper and the other books in the Dallas Devils series.

I quite enjoyed this book, but I can easily see why some other reviewers were so caught up in the high school drama of it. In spite of being successful adults, Ainsley and her former best friend/archrival are still caught up in some teenaged angst, which only gets worse with Tanner’s presence on the scene. I loved the chemistry between the pair. I got such a kick out of watching Ainsley shoot Tanner down in the beginning. I thought both characters showed some impressive maturing by the end of the book. However, I think my favorite part of the story was the chance to check back in with the couples from the previous Devils books

I liked Ainsley and Tanner and thought the beginning of their relationship was great. I felt for Ainsley but I am glad she ended up in Dallas and met Tanner. I also liked that Ainsley was so good for Tanner. They were great together and I enjoyed their story.

I’m not usually a fan of sports stories (they are usually too much sports, not enough romance), but this one I enjoyed!
Ainsley escapes her embarrassing problem and winds up having a one-night stand with Tanner. He’s a hockey player that doesn’t do relationships, but there’s something special about Ainsley.
Will Tanner change that no relationship rule and end up with Ainsley? Great characters!
Ainsley and Tanner’s love story is complicated, messy and filled with drama. But it is also super sweet and funny and when you start reading it’s impossible to put down. The love they share is quick and easy but the drama will try to tear them apart. Good thing they are both strong because they will need their strength to fight against the person who is trying ruin both of their lives. I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next book in this series

Everything happens for a reason
My was first read from this author, and it will definitely NOT be my last! This was probably my favourite ice hockey story yet! It was a real page-turner, and while I was constantly looking forward to seeing what was going to happen next, I also didn’t want it to end!
This book is about Ainsley and Tanner. She was a college student studying photography in Kansas, who was having a tough time due to social media crap. Tanner had been a ‘player’, AND the goalie for the Dallas Devils’ ice hockey team. There was no prior connection, they just met and fell in love serendipitously.
Ainsley took a road trip to forget her trouble over spring break, and ended up in Dallas, staying with an old ‘friend’ of-sorts from school. Marta is an instagram-famous influencer, and I just had a feeling from the start that she would be bad news…
The girls go out to a club the first night, and this is where she meets Tanner. She has no idea who he is, which is very refreshing for him, and they share a very strong instant connection. They share some very heated kisses and touches but don’t take it further… for now. Read it for yourself to find out what happens.
Their journey together involves lots of drama (mainly stirred up by Marta), lots of new friendships, lots of exciting ice hockey, many sweet and romantic moments, and PLENTY of off-the-charts chemistry, steam and passion! This is a book I would definitely recommend, and I would love to see a follow-up book to learn more about where these main characters end up.

When Ainsley Carter is dealing with some embarrassing problems at college due to her ex posting nasty pictures, she decides to take her friend Marta up on her offer to visit her on Spring break in Dallas. They go out to a club and get separated when Marta disappears on her.
Ainsley is rescued from her stranded situation by Tanner Vaughn, goalie for the Dallas Devils. Ainsley doesn’t recognize him, but spends the night at Tanner’s. He was not expecting to hear the “No” word from a female. But when his hockey slump disappears and his play improves, he wonders if Ainsley was a keeper after all. But they never exchanged phone numbers or last names, so now he has no way of contacting her! How can he possibly find this special lady again who might be just the one he needs in his life?
AMAZING! A fantastic, well written read. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Plenty of excitement and emotionally heartfelt. A thrilling must read.

June Winters gets a shutout with Keeper (Dallas Devils #4). After being humiliated on the Internet, Photography major Ainsley Carter decides to visit an old friend in Dallas. She Meets Dallas Devils’ goalie Tanner Vaughn, who is in a slump. The two hit it off, but they never exchange last names and phone numbers. Tanner’s losing streak ends after his night with Ainsley. He needs to find his lucky charm. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.
Keeper is the perfect addition to the Dallas Devils series. It was fast past and had interesting twists. I appreciated how June Winters incorporated the characters from the previous books. The influencer aspect of the story was fascinating to me. I had no idea they could make that much money. I loved Tanner and Ainsley together. They are a down-to-earth adorable couple. Ainsley’s high school friend Marta Mansour added undeniable drama to the story.
Keeper by June Winters is a must-read for people who enjoy sports romances. It is skillfully written and entertaining throughout. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Ainsley’s private life showed up on the internet and her phone wouldn’t stop ringing. So she took off driving to get away from the stares and the chaos. She happened to call her former best friend Marta, now an Instagram influencer living in Dallas, and somehow agreed to stay with her for a few days. Marta pushed for Ainsley to join her out clubbing, but to also bring her camera, so Ainsley did. But then Marta left her alone in the VIP section and never returned! Ainsley met a gorgeous guy who did sort of attempt some moves, but really just wanted to talk. It was how she met Tanner, the hot hockey goalie (and our hero). He was sweet to her that night because her friend left her stranded, didn’t answer her phone, and Ainsley didn’t know Marta’s address! Tanner felt something different about this girl; like she was special. Would she only be a one night stand or something more? This was a sweet romance with some tension, angst, and betrayal along the way. Is there an HEA? Read the book!!

Ainsley is studying photography at college. Then nude photos of her get posted on the internet. So embarrassed, she escapes town and heads to a friend’s place. She and Marta have a bit of history together regarding Ainsley’s ex. Marta is an Instagram influencer and decides she wants Ainsley as her photographer. Before this though Ainsley meets the gorgeous Tanner at a nightclub after Marta’s disappears on her. Instant attraction. What Ainsley doesn’t know is that Tanner is a very well-known hockey player. A flakey friend. So many Instagram photographs. A hot hockey player. More icky photos. Such an enjoyable story. Loved it.
I love sports romance and this was absolutely wonderful! This is my first book by this author and most definitely won’t be my last. Tanner Vaughn, goalie for the Dallas Devils, is in a slump. Ainsley having some problems at college decides to take her friend up on her offer to visit her for Spring break in Dallas. They go out to a club and that’s where Ainsley and Tanner meet. Ainsley gets left behind at the club by her friend and she spends the night at Tanner’s. The next day Tanner realizes he has no way of contacting Ainsley. Will he be able to find her? Read and find out. I loved Tanner’s character and the development of his character throughout the story. Overall, I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
