Smart, sexy, and engaging. I enjoyed every word!
This is the first book by Erika Kelly that I have read and I already know that I will have a writer/reader relationship with Ms. Kelly for quite a while. Her writing engages the reader with the characters and their lives immediately and sucks you into the story seamlessly.
#WorldsWorstBoyfriend is a social media phenom. It is ruining Fin Bowie’s life, dreams, and ambitions. One little tweet. Who knew it had so much power? Fin soon learns exactly how much power it can have and it’s not pretty. Callie Bell is returning to Calamity, Wyoming for her brother’s wedding with her polished NYC, elite art circle influencer boyfriend. Well, to be exact, his parents are the art influencers, but since he’s their son he is part of that inner circle. Anyway, Callie has her future planned. She’s a shoo-in for a prestigious fellowship. When she finishes that her career in the art world will take off. The problem right now? Facing her childhood sweetheart, the one that shattered her heart six years ago, the one who is her brother’s best man, the one who has kept her in NYC for the past six years because her heart breaks every time she sees him again, the one and only #WorldsWorstBoyfriend.
Does Callie really believe all the stories trending about Fin? Not really. Does she believe the one that started it all? Absolutely. After all, he broke her heart why wouldn’t he keep up the trend? As events at the rehearsal dinner unfold that NYC boyfriend makes a major miscalculation which starts the rest of the ball rolling. There are lessons that both Fin and Callie have learned in their six years apart. Can they put their past behind them and move forward? Can Callie realize what Fin has known all along?
Seriously, if Fin is truly #WorldsWorstBoyfriend then count me in! All in. Fin is definitely NOT who the world thinks he is. In fact, sometimes he is his own worst enemy when it comes to calling people out on their BS even when he’s the one being affected by it. He puts everyone above himself to his own detriment. The chemistry between Callie and Fin is off the charts. The relationship between the Bowie brothers is off the charts endearing. You’re going to love these guys! Keep On Loving You was so much fun I can’t wait to read Will’s story….
I started slow on this one but then did not want to put it down.
Full of second chances, athletes with awesome training prep and lots of hot passion and
most of all lasting love.
Another new author for me and glad I found her.
Love the passion between Callie and Fin. Love their deep connection and pure need and support for one another. Wish it went a little deeper in their connection, but good book overall. Cute story.
Callie and Fin have so much chemistry and passion but they are not good at communicating. This story has lots of emotions and we get to witness Fin and Callie grow up as they realise they both made mistakes and they both need to make changes in their lives. The Bowie brothers are all too good to be true and I look forward to more of this series.
Keep on Loving You

5 Stars
Callie Bell and Fin Bowie were high school sweethearts, who planned to go to college together in New York. They were both planning to attend NYU and share an apartment. Having grown up in the wide open spaces of Wyoming, living in the busy-ness of New York probably would have damaged Fin’s spirit. His father saw it happening, and gave Fin an out that crushed Callie.
Once again, she felt like she came in second place to Fin’s brothers. So she broke up with Fin, and went on to reinvent herself as a calm, boring, capable art historian with a wealthy and connected boyfriend.
Fin also goes on to reinvent himself as an extreme athlete, trainer, and coach. It’s been six years since the two of them have talked, but Callie is suddenly back in Wyoming for her brother’s wedding. And Fin is the best man. Fin barely arrives home in time, because one of his extreme adventure cohorts, Traci, is injured as they are making their way off the mountain during his latest adventure. After he ensures that she is taken care of, he hightails it out to make it back to Wyoming for the wedding. Traci creates some unwanted and damaging publicity for Fin, when she insinuates something that isn’t true. He has to live with the fallout.
The broader theme of this novel is about figuring out what makes you the best version of who you are. Both Fin and Callie have some soul-searching to do, and both have to fight for it with everything in them. Both are tempted by other paths that would give them a decent measure of success, but none of the available options spark that amazing sense of thriving that many search for, but never find. When they finally figure out the essence of what they really want, the picture is suddenly very clear and their choices become easy.
This book is beautifully written and the story is conveyed with a lot of heart. The pace moves along appropriately, and the author makes the reader feel the consequences of every conflict. There is a strong sense of family and community at times, while at other times, viral post technology gets in the way and causes division. This book ends on a high note for Fin and Callie, but with an unexpected development that draws the reader directly into the next installment of this series. Well done, Ms. Kelly!
After reading Can’t Help Falling in Love (the 5th book in this series), I had to go back and get the Bowie brothers’ stories! Keep on Loving You introduces us to Calamity Falls and the Bowies, beginning with Fin, the youngest brother.
I very much enjoyed Fin’s story. Especially how hard he loved, and how hard he tried to live up to his brothers. As the youngest daughter in my family, I was always trying to keep up with my older sisters, and I really empathized with Fin’s desire to feel like he was a part of them. I also really liked Callie, athough there were times when I wanted to knock some sense into her (she was the queen of second, third, and fourth chances), although I could tell how much she loved Fin, and felt that he was worth the other shots.
I’m going to keep going with this series!
Keep On Loving You is my first book by Erika Kelly, but hopefully not my last. Ms. Kelly has provided readers with a great story filled with outstanding characters. Fin rescues his friend and delivers her to the hospital, flies across the world and still makes it to his best friend’s wedding rehearsal. Callie arrives with her boyfriend for her brother’s wedding knowing her ex will be there. Callie and Fin’s story is loaded with drama, humor, spice and a bit of angst. The fact that Fin put Callie second when they were young is a bit repetitive, but I did enjoy the story. Keep On Loving You is part of the Calamity Falls Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book makes you think about what’s really important your life not all the junk that we let get in the way.
Fun story with a great storyline.
Loved the story! Waiting for the next book
Callie has just graduated college and is home for the first time in awhile. She has a steady reliable boyfriend who is a part of the art world just like her, as are his parents. When she comes home for her brother’s rehearsal dinner she knows she will have to face her ex, Fin, for the first time in six years and she doesn’t know what is going to happen. She’s changed so much since she last saw him. She’s not the same wild and reckless girl she used to be, or is she?
Fin, he has to make it to Ryder’s rehearsal dinner. That’s his only chance to finally see and talk to Callie after six years. He has to explain what happened and why he made the biggest mistake of his life, he has to make things right. Once he gets home he realizes just how much work that is going to take. He knows what they had was real and he wants it to be forever but he has to convince her to love him again, and he really hopes she still has feelings towards him. Even anger would be better than indifference. Then when life throws him a curveball he has no choice but to face the shitstorm straight on and hope it doesn’t ruin him and all he’s worked for, including Callie and his career.
I loved the fire between Fin and Callie. They were so obviously made for each other it was so hard when they were on the outs. I loved their connection. I loved the fire between the two of them.. I mean, is it hot in here or is it just me?! (Whew) This books has quite a few twist and turns and it takes more work than anticipated but if it’s meant to be it will be… right?
Definitely a great read. I couldn’t put this one down!
I really liked the first half of the book, the angst and struggle to stay away from someone who previously broke her heart. The last half was a bit more predictable, but still good.
This book was enjoyable
New, relevant topic that I hadn’t read about before. And that is hard when you’ve been reading romance for too many years to want to share in a public forum!
Unintended consequences can end up being a blessing in disguise.
This is one of those reads that I got so submerged in that it made me giddy, and I kept thinking about it all day until I could finish. This is one of heart wrenching second chance love stories that gets you all in the feels.
These two Callie and Fin are high school sweethearts that have known each other since forever. They made plans to go to college together in NY, but Fin backed out last minute to go with his Dad and brothers on a trip. Fin and his family are Athletic masters, Fin being the youngest made sure to always tag along, all he has ever wanted was his brothers respect. So he drops everything and anything to help out his bros.
Callie has moved on and hasn’t seen her ex Fin in 6 years, she went from wild child to prim and proper Calliope museum curator, she brings her new boyfriend back to meet her family for her brothers wedding. As the speeches are made Fin,the best man, lets it all out and pretty much still confesses to being in love with Callie .
I loved the chemistry and friendship these two had, it was a lot of push and pull and refusing to go down without a fight, and learning to accept yourself. I just loved it.
Should be worlds best boyfriend. Totally loved it!
Loved it
Loved this book. The author did a great job of making the characters seem alive and realalistic!
