Held my interest from the start.
The characters were pretty outlandish. I usually like Wilde”s stories, but this is my least favorite.
Did not keep my interest.
I really enjoyes reading this book.
Enjoyed reading it
Quick and emotional read
A quick- read
Poorly written HEA.
Great to read didn’t want to put it down to do other duties a home.
I felt like I knew the characters and their pain. The writing fully described their past, feelings and struggles. It had some twists that I didn’t see coming. A great read. Thanks.
An intense emotional amazing love story. Keegan showed up at Wren’s place during a winter storm wet, freezing and starving. She fed him and let him sleep in the barn. Both were deeply wounded souls that didn’t trust anyone. She nursed him through an illness and their feelings grew, however, neither trusted their own feelings. I highly recommend Keegan by Lori Wilde.
Wonderful Christmas hope, love, kindness, redemption all packed into one special holiday package. Plus learning that hate solves nothing.
Lori Wilde is bringing the men of Rascal, Texas back to life in her ‘Texas Rascals’ series. KEEGAN is the 1st in this heartfelt series and I must say, what a way to make an entrance!
Keegan Winslow is a broken man on a mission of revenge. Nothing will stop this city cop from completing his mission. Okay, okay, so maybe he pushed himself too hard because he was now beyond ill and could really use some help. Heck, when did Texas get snowstorms like this? It was Keegan’s lucky day when he knocked on the door…knocked on the door again…knocked on the door again (hmmmm, is anyone home?)…finally, a lovely yet timid face peered out at his looming figure and eventually slammed the door in his face! After the oddest of oddest introductions, and a few days passed, Keegan knows he has to get out of here. If he stays he’s in grave danger of losing his heart to a woman who sees past his appearance as well as losing focus on the mission he was on in the first place. Revenge.
Wren Matthews may look like a timid high school teacher living out here alone on a broken down dairy farm, and well, she was timid with most things in her life, but that was for good reason! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. But when this tall, brooding, stranger shows up out of nowhere banging on her door, she has no problem pulling it together (that is, after a quick pep talk to herself about confidence) to show him who’s boss! She soon realizes he’s sick, like really, really sick and needs her help. But who was he and how did he get here? Damn it, she knows she has to do something, anything, and eventually everything, to learn why gorgeous Keegan Winslow is so guarded – what is he hiding?
Keegan’s broken soul and hardened heart are rocked by Wren’s ability to see the beauty in all things, even him. Wren is rocked by her thirst to want to trust Keegan but after her past, can she? Lori Wilde never fails to pull you right into the story, making you fall for each character, making you hold on tight, making you cry when the moment is so intense you can feel it. As I said before, what a way to make an entrance with the Texas Rascals! ENJOY!
If you love clean, inspirational stories set against the back drop of Christmas, Lori Wilde’s Keegan (Texas Rascals) is the perfect read. As Wren answers a knock at her farmhouse door, she has no idea how opening that door will lead her to face her wildest fears, greatest humiliation and deepest hurts. Keegan is traveling through each day by merely putting one foot in front of the other as he seeks revenge for a horrific crime that left him scarred and hollow. As Wren and Keegan fight for their individual survival against the odds, a Christmas miracle will shed love’s healing light on them both and forever change the course of the road they travel forward from one all important Christmas Day.
Keegan by Lori Wilde
Texas Rascals Series Book One
Keegan Winslow is on a mission of revenge. He was after a man that he planned to kill. Keegan had become a cold, hard man. He shoved any feelings or humanity deep down so he could focus on his mission. Until one cold night in Rascal, Texas everything changed.
Wren Matthews had set herself apart. After losing her parents, making a bad choice that almost lost her the farm, and of course, her injury, she preferred to be alone. And she needed to find someone to help on the farm that preferred solitude as well.
A wonderful story. Two lonely souls who don’t want or need anyone, find each other on an unusually cold winter night. They’d both lost the spirit of Christmas and miracles, but this season, they may find more than they knew they were looking for.
