Kayden Michaels has a past filled with sex, addiction, and heartache. A past that he’s avoided sharing with the love of his life, Sophia, and held close to his core not risking rejection. Needing to get his addictions in check and gain control of his life for the sake of his family, Kayden is forced to confront his past and make amends for the path he’s walked.Kayden must recount every carnal act … carnal act and the betrayal from those he’s loved to identify the triggers that spur his addictions and overcome it all to be worthy of Sophia’s love.

This story starts out with Kayden telling how and why he got his life back on track after his addiction to alcohol and occasional drug use. After more than his share of bad relationships, he finally meets Sophia and she is the reason he finally decides that he will turn his life around.
So this story is more like his journal, a suggestion from his counselor at the rehab center where he was getting help on the road to his recovery.
From his first drink as a teen, to a girlfriend who tried to control him in every way. Kayden seemed to be looking for love in all the wrong places and he always ended up with the broken heart and less money in his wallet.
I guess the saying is true, when you find the one that is for you, you will change your life for the better. So when Kayden found Sophia, that is just what she was to him, the one. So life was almost perfect for Kayden and Sophia and only the birth of their child would make it perfect.
This was a really good story and I didn’t want to put it down. Now I need to read Untangle Me to see what happens with Kayden and Sophia.

Love this story…Kayden and Sophia are so good together and make each other whole. I felt like I was in the story and that makes a perfect book.
My heart breaks for the past that Kayden lived before he met Sophia. What got me through his story was knowing he does get his happily ever after. Alcoholism, addiction, and sex is what Kayden was about. He still was looking and falling in love. Then he was getting his heart broken. All this led him to Sophia. Without his past these two may have never met. Good thing they have their happily ever after. You will root for Kayden. I did.
Kayden is a hot, alpha male with a few problems,Sophia is a strong, independent woman even if her world is boring. They connect over online, and learn about each other. I had read this when it came out and loved Kaden then, this just reminded me why. I really loved how this is real life, the things that happen to Kayden and Sophia, happen to many people. Not just a story with a super Hot guy. Chelle Bliss, Lady you have come so far, congratulations!!( review of 1st read……So i won this book and was not real sure what to expect. I thought it would be sort of a retelling of Untangle Me. At the start i still was not sure i liked kayden.I just couldn’t seem to connect to him. I was wrong. I love him now so much more. He was a screwed up mess. I loved being able to hear about his addictions to alcohol, women and drugs. He was simple a man wanting desperately to be loved. And now he is.)
Just wow! Chelle has done it again with this one. I loved reading the backstory to Kayden’s past and how he came to be the man he is now. Kayden truly is a sexy, amazing, one woman man who loves with his whole heart. He definitely had some bad luck with women and addiction but he ended up with a truly beautiful and amazing woman who loved him for who he was and the man he became. This is a definite must read that will have you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions so hold on for one hell of a ride!
Having read Untangle Me I already knew about Kayden’s past struggles with addiction and womanizing.
The Past is his story in his words, more in depth giving us all the sordid details about how he came to be the man he is. His past is colorful and gives you more insight into the man from high school on.
This is full on completely honest Kayden, no excuses just the reasons for his behavior, for everything he did and who he hurt along the way. This is his past in living color. It’s dirty. It’s raw. It’s honest and it almost made me love the guy.
this was not something that I was too fond of, the back in the past story was kinda different. Me personally I didn’t care for it. Could have been better maybe if they added more of the present into the story mixed it up a bit more. I did however read this after reading book 1 and I so recommend everyone to read this one first it will give you a more of a insight on Kayden. Really great writing however I loved how the story flowed and went together. The pace of the story is another thing maybe it was just me and how I wasn’t that into it but it seemed to take a long time to get to the point of most of it.

The path to addiction is different for everyone; poor choices, spur of the moment decisions, life changing moments. This is his story, the story of his choices and the decisions he made and the consequences that followed.
Kayden is determined to never walk that path again. He has Sophia and his child to think of and his counselor tells him writing a journal of his journey will help. So sparing nothing he takes us on his journey of destruction and the train wreck his life becomes.
Read his story and understand all that is Kayden. It isn’t pretty, it’s an honest look at what addiction does to a person and how low people can fall when it rules their lives.
A great read that will give you insight into an addict’s life. A train wreck of a life that keeps you glued and turning pages; you keep thinking NO! Don’t do it, are you crazy?
Kayden won the girl in Untangle Me. This book is all about Kayden before he met and fell in love with Sophia. It’s a journal that he wrote about all of the ups and downs of his life. The journal provides you with details about what made Kayden the man he is, and also provides his current insight about each of the events.
The ending brings you to the present with Sophia and their life. It is an amazing ending to this emotional book. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
