This was my first read by KC Rice. I was very impressed with the first of the story. I was drawn in by the mystery of both men, and what they meant to the woman of the story. I can’t wait to see where she takes us
This is my first book by K.C. Rice and the story itself is great. I loved plot of how the story develops. One issue I have is there are grammatical errors. I would love to see the story go through another editing to make it outstanding. But, without the grammatical errors in mind I love the characters and their personalities. This story has so many layers of truth throughout it. Things that happen to married couples all the time. You can fell Kaycee’s pain, sorrow, happiness, guilt and love throughout the story as if it was your feelings. At times you can even say you completely understand. Now, I do not necessarily enjoy reading about couples cheating, but this was laid out that it wasn’t trashy. It was as if a person is going through a everyday life struggle. Yes, there were some parts that I would have liked to see expanded upon, but it does end in a cliffhanger so maybe it will be expanded in the next. It is definitely worth reading because the story get really intriguing, intense, and at the same time has a beautiful promise throughout it.
I really loved that the author used real life situations that people can relate to in her storyline. I absolutely love how Kaycee finds her voice by the end and realizes that she can do great things on her own. I really wanted to give this book a 5 star rating but I really disliked the repetition amongst chapters that was not needed. I was also a little distracted by the not so great proofreading job that was done, it, however, did not effect the story itself. Otherwise, it was a great book and I look forward to seeing this author grow and what happens next in Kaycee’s story!
I was excited when I received this book for honest review. The idea of woman falling in love with two different men is an exciting premise, at least for me it is.
Kaycee is young woman, who is a cancer survivor and lives with her husband, while everything seems to be perfect to the outside world, she feels controlled and caged by her husband. When she meets Mason online, while getting some research done, they seem to have instant connection between them. This gives the reader hope for Kaycee finding her Happily Ever After.
I really enjoyed the beginning of this story however as the story continued, I found it a bit hard to read. For me the plot had a couple hiccups and wasn’t easily flowing as the beginning of the book had. At some points I found it a tad bit repetitive and at times certain facts seemed be different than what was previously written in earlier chapters and what had been said before.
I was a tiny bit disappointed after I finished reading this story, BUT I still would love to read more, because I really want to see what will happen to Kaycee next. Though the first in the series had some issues I do look forward to watching the serie grow as well as watch the author and her writing grow.
This book gets a solid 3.5 out of 5 cupcakes.from me!
