The Broken J, a ranch built on love, respect and hard work. Katie James the eldest daughter of Joshua James works just as hard as any man on the ranch. At 24 she feels she is beyond marriage. Her job, in her mind, is to keep the ranch running for her father.
Wilson Robertson arrives as Foreman and realizes he is 20 years younger than almost everyone working this ranch. How will he fit in here? How will the ranch hands react to taking orders from a man his age?
What comes about will make you feel good. Just reading how the ranch is run is amazing. Such a wonderful and well written book!
Am hooked on the series.
A little slow. Needed a stronger plot.
Fun. A wholesome and sweet story. There is great build up to the relationship. But not while they are in the relationship. It’s still a fun story.
Thank you for a book that has a good plot and characters, doesn’t have curse words and the family even prays before meals. Furthermore, it is not too long. How I enjoy a book that doesn’t appear to take me the rest of my life to read. Really enjoyed your book, Dannie Roan! Thank you again.
Fairly boring. Didn’t care enough about the characters to find out what happened to the rest of the sisters.
A very sweet historical western. I enjoy the story very much.
Pleasant easy read
Very good story and easy to read.
I loved it. I didn’t want to put it down
This book is a wonderful jaunt into an interesting historical romance. Enjoyed it so much I have already read #2 in this series.
I couldn’t put it down. Such lovable characters in the story.
Inspirational Christian love story, really enjoyed.
Good read
A sweet novel of hardships of the early settling of the West. Will and Katie find each other and it is such a touching romance.
Sometimes a break from overwhelming responsibility is very relaxing. I definitely recommend this book!
Short book could have been more romantic, stopped short of interesting.
Fantastic sweet romance! The author’s knowledge of ranching and horses is captivating.
Cute story and an easy read . I would read the series
Memories of how our parents defined or instructed us influence all of us. We have to learn to evaluate the truth and release the false as we mature and make our own choices. Sometimes that means letting oneself love, sometimes it means letting yourself become an expanded you. This story illustrates this idea some.
