A Dragon and a Human Protector. This is a short steamy story about a dragon, named Karos, who is on Earth to protect the alien embassy and a human, named Megan, whose job is to protect her client. Human extremists against aliens kidnap Megan’s clients and Karos’s ambassador. They are mates and must work together to save the ambassador and Megan’s clients. They have a very steamy happily ever after!
Pyrosian Mail Order Brides – still trying to go legit
Way back when the Pyrosians discovered their dying race was mating-compatible with human females, Earth was officially OFF LIMITS to off-world contacts. (Think, Prime Directive) Governments are the same galaxy wide: the Pyrosian response was an illegal dating app, AKA bride-recruiting device, and stealth missions to capture the matched humans. The missions weren’t as stealthy as planned, thanks to the Pyrosian mating compatibility test and subsequent mating fever. Nothing for it but to go legit. The first official aliens-to-Earth cultural exchange and mass mating event was a stellar failure, thanks to an anti-alien terrorist movement and a guest Romaki dragon who couldn’t contain himself… So now Pyrosians and Romaki both crave Earth girls. Karos stars a Romaki dragon security officer in the new earth alien embassy. Anti-alien sentiment is still an issue, and when a famous human female embassy guest and her entourage get kidnapped on the way to the embassy, Karos is on it. He meets the left-behind body guard Lily, and together they thrash out their issues with aliens/humans, mating, true love, etc. – all while kicking some serious terrorist butt. I thought they were perfect together. HEA bears this out, but all the intervening intrigue and angst make it a touch-and-go, will-they-or-won’t-they page-turner of a romance. Steamy and satisfying – 5 stars.
Megan is a bodyguard who is protecting her friend while on a diplomatic mission to the alien embassy. Karos, a dragon shifting alien, is head of security at the embassy. While en route to the embassy, Megan’s car is attacked & everyone but her is taken hostage. Inside the car were also 2 of the dragon shifters. Megan & Karos team up together to work to rescue them. Karos is attracted to Megan, but he fights it until he realizes it’s the “rux”, aka mating fever. Megan is eventually caught up in the rux as well, & it makes it hard to focus if it’s not “handled” regularly.
I really liked this book. I thought the characters were well-written & unique. The world building was very detailed, and the plot was very interesting. The story has intrigue, protesters, friends/allies turn traitors, steamy scenes, and a HEA.
The great character and plot development kept me totally glued to my kindle until the turn of the very last page!
This is the first book I have read in this series but I cant wait to go back and read the rest. Karos is so weary of being alone he comes to Earth resigned to that face. Enter Megan his perfect match and who can resist a super sexy protective dragon? This read has it all danger, action steamy scenes and excellent characters. Susan Hayes is fast becoming one of my go to authors.
You give me fever
Karos is on earth. He’s not looking for a mate. He’s all brooding alien with scars.
Megan is strong and they are working to identify who’s behind some bad dealings.
He’s not looking for a mate, but he sure finds his sadina in Megan. And his fever kicks in.

Book seven in the Star-Crossed Alien Mail Order Brides (Intergalactic Dating Agency) series. A well written story that had me smiling as I read. Karos and Megan’s story has suspense, drama, danger, intrigue, fated mates, and romance.I enjoyed reading their story. Megan is a bodyguard; Karos, a dragon shifter, is head of security for the alien embassy on Earth. When Megan’s employer and friend is kidnapped, the two of them team up to rescue them–while in the throes of the “rux,” the mating rut. Strong heroine holds her own again the dragon shifter male. Plenty of action, romance and a little mystery.
Karos tells the story of two warriors fighting for the safety and well-being of their charges and falling in love. This is a short sweet tale that will leave you feeling good.
Karos is the seventh book in the Star-Crossed Alien Mail Order Brides series. Megan is the bodyguard to her friend, but when a diplomatic mission between humans and friends starts with a car crash and she’s behind, her attraction to Karos, the growly alien head of security, is stumping her. When Karos’ rux strikes, will they be able to save their friends and deal with their own instincts?
Ms. Hayes has done it again, starting a new trilogy of books in the Intergalactic Dating Agency world that has immediately captured my attention and heart! I absolutely loved Karos and Megan and reading through their trials and triumphs! Karos is a bit broody and growly, one who doesn’t believe he deserves a mate, but I loved his protective nature and how he only wanted what was best for Megan – and of course to help their friends! Megan was fierce and not one to put up with anyone’s crap, but she had a big heart that shined through with her protective nature and her sympathy with Karos’ past. I love that this book deals with the ups and downs of their passionate relationship, the issues with Humanity First, touches more on alien culture on an Earth setting, and I loved every page that I read! I flipped through these pages with excitement and I’m already really looking forward to what will happen next to this group of friends!
This was such an amazing read by Susan Hayes that I highly recommend!!! I love all paranormal dragon shifter books and this did not disappoint. Karos is the alpha male head of security but gloomy feeling he doesn’t deserve a mate. Magan is on a security detail and his perfect counter part and his perfect match. Karos went to earth looking for a mission and Magan gave him a life!!! No spoilers, but there’s danger, suspense, drama, intrigue, passion, magic, deep attraction and love! You can’t go wrong with this book an awesome read and I can’t wait to read more!!!!

fun read
Oh, my! Dragons!
How can you not love dragons? Especially when they’re fine looking, uber-protective males. I love seeing Karos perform his magic – he can do amazing things. Megan is the perfect match for this security minded Romaki male. Megan’s entire career has been focused on ridding her surroundings of those with evil intent, one way or another. They are so good together! The vile supporters of the Humanity First movement have reached into unexpected areas, creating havoc. Such exciting reading! Best of all (aside from Megan and Karos), we learn of more individuals who may be destined mates. I can’t wait for more!
YOWZERS! Hot, sexy, entertaining, action, danger… heck did I forget anything? This book had it all. I loved this next edition to the Star-Crossed Alien Mail Order Brides. Of course mates do not always present themselves at the perfect moment in time. Fate likes to play around and is kind of a jokester. Karos and Megan are both in charge of security but they cannot stop an event from happening. (NO SPOILERS) It leaves them both irritated and then they touch. Oh FRAK, now is not the time to meet your mate. I loved the struggle they both went through to attempt to keep the rux at bay. Well Karos knew what it was, Megan… oh she is in the dark and her reaction is priceless.
I did not put this book down until the very end and then I kept trying to turn the page.
I love this “world”
I love so much about this story and this couple. They’re more mature than we’re used to, they’re warriors, and they’ve both pretty much given up on finding the one. The fates don’t care. But no matter their attraction first they have a job to do. This book grabbed me from page one. I felt like I knew Karos and Megan. Their struggles feel real. The Romaki dragon shifters totally possible. This is one sexy, fun sci-fi tale.
