People say karma’s a…well, you know. Personally, I don’t think I’m that bad. It’s not like I wanted this job. I wasn’t even in my right mind when I accepted the position. Now, I’m surrounded by crazy coworkers like Lady Luck, who’s a bit of a tramp, and Murphy’s Law, who’s a bumbling oaf. But the worst is Fate. He’s got a problem with transfers like myself, and I have to see him constantly. … see him constantly. It’s unavoidable. We’re hunting the same man, my murderer.
Jinxed:
Karma, it’s what they call me and the very essence of who I am. When I died young, I was recruited by the agency that keeps the Universe running smoothly. As someone with a human past, most of my coworkers consider me inferior.
But not everyone. Something evil has been stalking me for centuries. It’s been biding its time, waiting for the moment when it will strike and it needs me to to do it.
Its methods of recruitment are tearing apart every aspect of my life. I’m slowly losing myself, both mentally and physically. I don’t know who I can count on but I’m finding out how much I’m willing to sacrifice to save the ones I care about.
Fated:
Settling the cosmic score is what Karma was drafted by the Universe to do. But what happens when all the humans start going to the dark side? She’s got to find the source and the most likely suspect is her long time rival, who outclasses her in both power and resources.
Luckily, she’s got a new partner, Fate, but he comes with his own set of complications. The confirmed bachelor has a target of his own.
The Agency:
Hidden away from the eyes of the world is an agency tasked with the job of steering a person’s life. From shipwrecks to the plague, follow Fate as he helps maneuver the outcomes for one of his favorite clients.
Author Note: The Agency is a short Karma prequel. This was written after the series was completed to give more insight into the events prior to Karma. It can be read at the beginning or at the end of the series.

The author spent wayyyy too much time with the two main characters. I “skipped” several pages that was just with those two, predictable. But, original and thought out. It is worth the read.
Great character development and plot. You have to read the entire series it’s really great..
I love this series. I wished there were more books to read. This is one book that had me yelling at the main female character while still couldn’t wait to see what happens next. I was really sad when I finished the series.
Karma:
The idea of Karma, Fate, Lady Luck et al. being real was very fun to read about. I liked the little trick to keep out the Jinxes. While I did enjoy this story overall, there were details missing that annoyed me. If you mention needing to get a purse or finding out how to get paid, I would also expect that it would be mentioned. She saw that Fate was living better than her but she never asked how or way. She did ask the universe but since they do not really speak to her it was pointless. I also found it annoying that she claims to have great pride but yet she never walks away and says “I need a moment to myself, back off” like you would expect her to.
With that said, know I am nitpicking. I really hate unfinished thoughts or lack of follow-through on even the minor details. The story was overly entertaining though and I felt bad for her at the end. I cannot wait to read the next one.
Jinxed:
This was a good book, but it was definitely a transition book. There was a lot of background and questions that needed to be answered. Now that we have a good idea what is going on the plot is thickening and cannot wait for Fated.
I do love the title of the book and the unfolding of the jinxes characters was so endearing. It was a long time before I knew why this book in the series was titled this way. I love that the characters are all imaginary people or ideas but that there is a more behind the scenes good/evil balance that also occurs independently among the humans.
I just wish that Charlie would have gotten some form of Karma thrown at him or even the whore he was with. I get their reasoning, but it does not make what they did right and deserve to suffer for it. Even if only public humiliation and how people view them. But I know that is small potatoes to what is coming.
Two more books and I cannot imagine what will happen next.
Fated:
So this book did not end the way I though it would and I really like the transformation of Fate. This story was exciting fun and especially unique.
I know what Karma did for Charlie and the whore was the noble and good thing to do, but she is Karma after all and they were not being honest. They deserved a bit of Karma themselves.
Since I was reading the book bundle, I also read The Agency which was a bit of fun. Seeing her past through Fate’s eyes was enlightening.
And although 13 year old pain in the ass lushes, I really liked the Jinxes.
Great series. Did want to put the books down.
The author has created a reality a bit different than the one we are living in, and I enjoyed my visit there. The book was a tiny bit more romance that I prefer, but I did like her take on how things happen. Almost any real description of the book will spoil it, so I won’t give any more hints. I got the first book of this set off BookBub at no cost, but paid for the set. I rate the series as worth the money. Try it and see for yourself.
keeps interest moves quickly
awful set of books — the second was as bad as the first — didn’t waste my time on the rest. Plot line revolves around miscommunications and juvenile behavior — boring.
, well 70’s.
Loved the series, wish there were more
Loved this series!
I enjoyed the series over all. The premise is unusual and I likes the snark of the main character. However, the third book did get a bit odd and the ending was just strange.
Good book but then book ended poorly. They introduced new characters and then ended the book quickly like she was over it.
I read the complete trilogy together. I really enjoy Karma’s character. She settles into her job and seems to have a never say die attitude, just what I want in my heroines. The romance part was just enough to keep it interesting. I was a little disappointed in the other character development but it seems some get their own books so maybe that wis why.
