I read this book years and years ago, but it remains one of my 2 favorite books of all time.
This was one incredible read.I literally could not put this book down,
Great book.
Another well written story by Archer. He is a master story teller!
Best book I ever read. I’ve read it 4 times and would read it again. From page 1 you just cannot put it down!
I read this book years ago as a hard back and recently added it to my Kindel library. I is a truly remarkable story of two men of very different backgrounds — one the heir to great wealth and the oher a poor immigrant — who grow their businesses and become adversariess and ultimately reach a common understanding.
I found it sad that the two boys never got to make peace with each other even till their old age.
Money can’t buy you happiness and only bring one more heartache of you don’t let the grudges go.
I read this book many years ago and instantly became a fan of Jeffrey Archer. This is one of those classics that draws the reader in and makes you forget your own world…at least for a while.
A real page-turner.
A fabulous book

One of my favorite books!!
It’s been years since I read this, but I always remember how much I enjoyed this book. I’ve read many Jeffrey Archer books since and have never been disappointed.
This is another great story by Jeffrey Archer – the characters are well developed and it is a good storyline.
First book I’ve read by Mr. Archer. I liked it very much for the twists and complex character of Abel. I look forward to reading more of this author’s books.
