Three years after entering the Paranormal Underground, Kana Cold’s past and present finally catch up to her…
During her latest case in the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, Kana comes across a familiar face who has tracked her down to help him find his sister. This starts a chain of events leading to the Dismal Swamp—a massive wetland on the Virginia/North Carolina border rumored to be swarming with … swarming with spirits of the past. It is also the supposed domain of a fearsome group of supernatural entities known as The Burning Gods. Kana’s mysterious past, life-threatening present, and uncertain future all collide in this new adventure with a shocking ending that changes the series, and Kana, forever.
If you enjoy stories from Kevin Hearne, Jim Butcher, Shayne Silvers, Patricia Briggs, Faith Hunter, or Clive Barker’s more imaginative series like The Great and Secret Show, you will enjoy reading the wild paranormal thriller adventures of Kana Cold.

An exciting and scintillating read that is a combination of the supernatural and the mysteries of the discovery of items and the danger involved in obtaining them. It is a blending of the past and present of Kana Cold with threads of intrigue. A very enjoyable read that will leave you impatiently waiting for the next book.
Ok, my whole family is caught up in CORVID-19 insanity (two hospitalized for other reasons, who we cannot visit, and 1 tested positive and in quarantine though no overt symptoms so far). Thank God for good books. It’s what’s keeping all of us sane. Kana Cold, Book 3: Wrath of the Burning God is a particularly good one, as I expected since the first two books (separately reviewed) were fabulous, and I can count on anything written by KC Hunter. Highly recommended for fun … and sanity saving.

Kana has never been one to let others tell her what to do, she plays by her own rules, and she plays alone. But lately, she’s been building a team around her, and specters from her past have come back to haunt not just her but her team as well.
Previous books in this series have hinted that Kana is more than she appears, and her persona is at least in part a shield against her past. In this book, her past comes back with a vengeance and she can’t resist the temptation to pursue traces of a history she thought she walked away from long ago.
This is a backstory book and I was a little worried going in that it would not be up to my expectations based on the rest of the series. By the end, I was thinking it is the best book in the series so far. Filled with the adventure, psychological intrigue and dash of humor trademark of the previous books, this one took it all further and deeper. And that ending! It was a seriously pivotal moment that both felt like it came out of the blue and was beautifully set up in retrospect.
This is book 3 in the Kana Cold series, and although each contains a full story arc that could stand alone, I highly recommend reading them in order as the character development really builds through the series.
Kana Cold: Wrath of the Burning Gods by KC Hunter is an amazing story to read. This is book number three in this amazing series that I have loved reading very much. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about horror and fantasy in their stories.
