A heart could only withstand so much abuse before embracing the wreckage. When the flames of heartache declared war, I was defenseless to the ambush. Unforeseen tragedy ripped me apart and I was imprisoned by he guilt. To survive, I ran. It was then I met HIM, but I wasn’t ready. It didn’t matter, though. Hearts were reckless and selfish all on their own.Consequences aside, I was forced to shed a … forced to shed a piece of my armor and head into battle.

I received and advance copy without expectation for review, all opinions expressed are my own. 4 stars for this read.
Chelle Craze has been one of my favorite authors for a few years now. Her books always seem to draw me in and leave me reeling for more. Kamikaze Heart is no exception. There is drama, heartache, love and above all … life. Actual real life in her stories. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine yourself in situations with other authors. You know how with a really good book, you can envision the characters playing out the story, right in front of you? That is the talent that Chelle holds. No way off realities or unreal scenarios. I think that may just be what continues to bring me back, time and time again. One thing she does in just about every book, is make me cry. Yes, I am a sad sap, but the reality of what she writes can sometimes hit so close to home. Again…she’s real.
If you have not had the pleasure of reading one of her books, start with Kamikaze Heart. It’s the first book in a new series … Cupid’s Aim. Just be forewarned that you may need some tissues, with this beaut. Enjoy!!
The way this author tells a story just draws me in. Her stories are not always hearts and unicorns but they are real, they deal with the negatives and sad things that sometimes happen in life BUT they also give us hope by showing us that you can get past even the greatest of tragedies and there will be sunshine again. It may not be there every day, but it will be there.
Trinity’s story drew me in … I had to know what got her to the point of her life that she was just here but not completely living, something she was forced to face after leaving work early one day. Eli too has been living life in a holding pattern but for a different reason. When fate (and maybe a little angel) bring these two together can they reach for a different future than what they were expecting? Or will they just keep on breathing and letting the joys of life possibly pass them by?
