NOTE FROM AUTHOR. This is the beginning of a new series, but it has strong ties to the characters in the Texas Knights MC series. Kale Forrester is content with the life he has. His brothers, both from his blood family and his club family, are all he needs. Known as a ruthless man, he enjoys the solitude that reputation gives him. When Kale’s best friend Zeke finds the woman of his dreams, Kale … Zeke finds the woman of his dreams, Kale realizes there is something missing in his life. Restless, with thoughts of a lonely future, he begins writing to a woman he has never met.
Through months of contact only through the written word, Kale exposes parts of himself that he hasn’t shown any woman before. Without ever having seen her face he realizes that she could be the one he needs to complete his life. The only one who can fight the loneliness he has imposed on himself for all these years.
Terra Sharp has been alone in a crowd for over ten years. Recently reconnected with her best friend, Terra finds hope in her future. When she’s encouraged by her friend to write letters to a complete stranger it is easy to let herself go and give him an inside look at her fears, her hopes and her dreams. She soon lives to see his writing on paper, giving her a new glimpse into his exciting and sometimes dangerous lifestyle.
Once the two meet in person, the sparks fly and neither try to fight how they feel when they are together.
Unforeseen events pull Terra farther into Kale’s world than he ever wanted her to go. After they fight to get through danger, drama and death will their bond be enough to hold them together?

What a RIDE!
Luke was amazing but I think I say this about each book I read by this author. I think I’ve read the best storylines and seen the best character development then here comes another book and outdoes the previous one. Luke did not disappoint.
I have Binge read this series now I get a break before the Levi & Mark’s book comes out. This a sad day. . . I want to read it now.
Oh well . . .The wait is on. Hope it goes fast!
Once I found Cee Bowerman’s books, I devoured them as fast as she released them. Lucky for me, she releases a phenomenal number of books. I’m re-reading Kale right now and love it just as much as the first 3 times.
Highly recommend any of her books.
*WARNING* contains adult situations, violence, and cussing
Kale is one of four. He has two brothers and a sister. His brothers and even his dad are members of the Texas Kings MC. The MC doesn’t seem to have a huge amount of members though. These guys keep their businesses legal, but they aren’t going to back down from wrong doings.
Terra was sentenced to tens years in jail for something that she would the same way if she had a do over. The jail shrinks say there something wrong in her head.
This book has action, plot twists, possessive men, and comedy. I laughed so hard at some of the antics written in here! The birds are a hoot! The markers and blueberries were super funny. I liked that Kale had a panic attack, it’s nice to see that the big, strong biker isn’t infallible.
I liked this story overall. However, there were parts where I was a little lost because they had stuff going on from a previous series and it was a bit hard to follow…There was a big long build up of the relationship and I liked the interaction between the H and h and how they got to know each other through letters. Then there was some action kind of stuck on at the end that happened really fast and then it was over. It kind of felt like a rushed ending.
However, I do plan on reading Sonny’s book next because I really loved Brenda and want to see what happens!
Also, I really look forward to reading a story about Jenna! She deserves an awesome book!!!!
Kale Forrester agreed to write letters to Terra Sharp who is about a year from coming home from prison. He doesn’t expect anything from them but he knows all too well how lonely and long that can be. What he doesn’t expect is for Terra to be a breath of fresh air and the letters they write to begin to take more meaning.
Terra didn’t have too many plans for when she gets out of jail but the more she gets to know Kale the more they begin to talk about a future. She is not sure if it is forever or just a day but the man has quickly stolen all her thoughts and she knows she definitely wants to get to know him better. What happens though when danger comes to his MC, can Terra handle it?
This was great, I had been thinking about trying this series for awhile and it did not disappoint. Had all the things I love in a MC story-humor, interesting story, and a few surprises.
Kale: Texas Kings MC Book 1
Cee Bowerman
The pen pal description intrigued me enough to get this when someone asked for other books like Kale. Since I love MC books it was pretty much a no brainer even though this is a new to me author.
Although the character names are weird I liked the characters themselves. Enjoyed the thoroughness of the setup and the heroine was AMAZING.
One word FABULOUS,
I did a post on Facebook which named my top 20 authors who I admirer and love, and someone mentioned for me to check out Cee Bowerman, so been the good girl I am I did, and all I can say is.
I WANT A KALE FOR CHRISTMAS PLEASE.
I loved the book, there are a lot mistakes, and it could do with a complete proof read, why give it 5 stars then, I hear you ask, because its a phenomenal book and a complete different approach than what I have read before. I hold my hands up tall and proud I AM AN MC BOOK WHORE and damn proud of it I am at that. I have hundreds of em, read them devoured them mourned them loved and even licked some of them. so to say this is a 5 star read with mistakes is pushing it, but I could not put this book down, I sat crossed legged from half way through.
The story centers on Kale and his fabulous rag a muffin odd ball family, Kale is as tough as they come, Yet is a big soft marshmallow when it comes to the people he loves. The open chapters had me hooked and if I am truly honest would have liked to have seen more on that subject.
Could you fall for someone you have never met, have no idea what they look like, and them you, all you have is pen and paper and truth, an old fashioned concept, PEN TO PAPER, nobody does that anymore, sadly I used to be a Pen pal and loved getting ,letters with a foreign stamp on them, I digress here, We are introduced to Terra who is serving time in prison and has been there a very long time, Kale and Terra have a mutual friend Lisa, who thinks it would be a great idea for them to write each other. They both have had traumatic pasts, and she thinks they would be matches made in heaven, so she persuades Kale to write and what begins is a courtship. The actual meeting of them together had me gritting my teeth, I won’t go into it to much, because if I am honest you just need to read the book. Then read the reviews. If someone so much as spills any part of the story its ruined. I loved it have gone and got book 2 and 3 and hopefully they are as good as the rest. Allow for the mistakes. If she is self publishing they need encouraging not discouraging. The lady has a gift for telling stories, she just need some grammar lessons.
