Connie Queen’s debut, Undercover Justice, does not disappoint! With high-intensity suspense and action, Ms. Queen weaves a story of deception, mystery, and deadly secrets. Her powerful combination of a US Marshal heroine working rogue undercover as a nanny for a Texas Ranger with twins is unsurpassed. The unexpected twists kept me flipping pages and the ending was a thriller. My favorite quotes from the book:
“We don’t keep secrets.” Like an arrow to the heart, Jax made his point clear. No secrets.
They made him long for something he didn’t realize was missing.
And the best quote…. “Throw down your weapon. You’ve got three armed Texas Rangers with guns pointing at you. We’re short on patience and long on ammunition.”
I can’t wait for her next book!
Suspense Fiction at its best. The author is new to me and this is her debut book. She did not disappoint this reader! I thought the book was riveting and action packed. Tense and definitely unpredictable with romance added to the plot. Everything I like in a book and a real page turner.
Kylie Stone/ Melody Garner is an ex US Marshal who has gone undercover as a nanny to adorable twins. She was protecting a witness and her children in a safe house when someone blew it up. Taken for dead Melody takes on a new identity with a changed appearance and continues to work on bringing the murderer to justice.
Luke Dryden is a Texas Ranger. His family was devastated when his Sister Megan was found dead six months ago at a abandoned quarry.
Her husband Tommy had disappeared before Megan’s death and she had made Luke the kids guardian. Busy on an investigation he had hired Kylie Stone as the kids Nanny. Then someone had tried to kidnap the twins while they were under Kylie’s care but she beat off the attacker with her hair brush. Was this just a random act of crime or did it have to do with Megan’s death? Could the kidnapper have really been after Kylie? Did they know who she really was?
I recommend this book to readers of suspense fiction and Love Inspired books.
The book can be read as a standalone.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and it was great! It drew me in from the first page and didn’t let go! I loved the twins!! The chemistry between Kylie and Luke was great, and the twists and turns the story takes keeps you on the edge of your seat, and you have to keep reading!
Who can resist a handsome Texas Ranger and a pair of adorable twins? Certainly not me, nor apparently could Kylie Stone. Kylie is posing as a nanny while undercover to catch her would-be murderer. When her undercover work puts the twins in her care at risk, Kylie must confess her real identity to their uncle, Texas Ranger Luke Dryden. Luke and his parents are grieving the murder of the twins’ mother so when Luke and Kylie realize they’re after the same man, both of them are in danger. Can they keep each other and the twins safe while bringing down the bad guys? And what of the developing feelings between Luke and Kylie that neither one of them want to admit? Take a front row seat for Kylie and Luke’s adventures in Connie Queen’s amazing debut novel. Looking forward to many more!
Connie Queen has written a wonder page-turner. Great romantic suspense!ful
This was a fantastic debut for Connie. I really enjoyed the mystery of this book and Kylie’s unique backstory. The story moved really well and there were several surprises along the way especially at the end. I will be looking for more of Connie’s books for sure!!
I received this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own honest opinion.
I’ve always liked Texas Rangers and Ranger Luke Dryden certainly doesn’t tarnish my image of these special law enforcement agents. Luke’s hero instincts kick into full force when his orphaned niece and nephew become the targets of kidnappers and he learns that their nanny is really an ex-US Marshall who has assumed a new identity. What follows is an intense race to find who is behind these threats and how this is connected to his sister’s murder. As Kylie Stone and Luke work together, he wonders if he can keep himself safe, but it isn’t physical safety he’s worried about. Can he truly trust Kylie after learning her true identity? Will his budding feelings for her cause him deep hurt once this mission is over?
Justice Undercover is the debut novel of Connie Queen and I was immediately caught up in the intense thrill ride that she takes us on! Secrets, mistrust, kidnapping, and murder are included, but in the end, she shows us the development of love and trust — trust between Kylie and Luke and the assurance of God’s love and grace for all of His children.
This book is a notable first effort for Connie Queen and I look forward to her next books. I recommend Justice Undercover to anyone who enjoys Christian romantic suspense.
I received a copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own opinions.
A great hidden identity romance!
Justice Undercover checks all the boxes of a romantic suspense and features one of my favorite scenarios….hidden identity. Under the circumstances, the premise is quite believable. Kylie Stone is a self-sacrificing heroine…strong and determined to capture the criminal who devastate her life. Texas Ranger Luke Dryden *sigh* wants justice for his deceased sister who left her two-year-old twins in his care.
The action and danger are nonstop as the book races to an exciting and surprising ending. Drawn into the desperation of the situation, I was afraid of what might happen to Luke, Kylie and the adorable toddlers. I was invested in all these characters and felt the heartache caused by issues of trust after all the experiences they encountered. Thankfully, the epilogue provides a sweet conclusion.
For readers of romantic suspense, I recommend you put Justice Undercover on the top of your must-read list. I’m definitely looking forward to more books by author Connie Queen!
Favorite quotes:
There’s that word. Honest. She hadn’t lied to the Ranger, but she hadn’t exactly been forthcoming, either. She wanted to be honest.
Without trust, though, you had nothing.
*I won a copy of this book with no requirement to write a review. I’m delighted to offer my honest opinion.
Hidden identity, a rogue undercover agent, twins, and tons of action are just a few of the things I enjoyed about Connie Queen’s debut novel.
I love a book with a good twist, and after an intense ride through most of the story, Justice Undercover delivers just that little bit of unexpected to make it memorable. And the romance builds just right throughout the book
Queen immersed me in her story, and I sympathized with Kylie and her situation from the get-go. And then there’s Luke, the tough Texas Ranger with protective instincts who is just a little bit clueless when it comes to Kylie’s skills.
If this is what Queen starts with, I look forward to reading many more excellent romantic suspense stories from her.

With hidden identities and a dangerous killer on the loose, author Connie Queen shines in her debut Love Inspired Suspense novel. Justice Undercover easily holds the readers’ attention and has them eagerly anticipating what will happen next in this tale of betrayal, forgiveness, and finding love.
In Justice Undercover, former US Marshal Kylie Stone is on the hunt to find the person who killed her witness. When there appears to be a connection with the murder of Texas Ranger Luke Dryden’s sister, suddenly everyone’s lives are in danger.
Connie Queen shocked me with who the mastermind of the crimes was, and I was not anticipating the additional twists and turns at the conclusion. Justice Undercover leaves readers with hope through the power of truth and forgiveness. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Excellent read! Couldn’t put it down! From start to finish, I was engrossed with Kylie Stone’s attempts to keep the Texas Ranger’s twin niece and nephew safe and unravel the culprits behind the repeated kidnapping and murder attempts.
Highly recommend!
It has great action and suspense along with well developed characters. Great debut Love Inspired Suspense book from author Connie Queen. This book had great twists and turns which made it hard to put down.
I received a free copy of this book from the author. I was not required to review it. All opinions are my own.
I love “Love Inspired Suspense” books because they are “clean” and free from graphic romance scenes, graphic violence and bad language. But that doesn’t mean these books are boring-far from it!
This story was so captivating and easy to read! I read it in one afternoon because I didn’t want to stop reading and wanted to know if Kylie was going to get her happy ending with seeing her family again. I liked her love for family and trying to protect them and those around her whether it was her job or not. Her determination and drive for justice and truth was commendable.
I liked reading about Texas Ranger Luke and ended up googling what rangers do because I was enthralled with his line of work and duty. He had a hard time juggling work and being a single father, which is relatable, and I liked how his determination and persistence was portrayed.
Amazing story line and characters! Lots of action and an interesting, steady plot. This was my first time reading a book by this author, but it won’t be the last.
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
