Gods blast it, why did it have to be a lion-tamer? Shamash, god of justice, and a golden leopard shifter, never imagined mating with someone whose job is to dominate the feline species. And to make matters worse, he doesn’t feel an ounce of lust for the curvaceous, smart-mouthed blonde. But if taking her as his Chosen will help his fellow gods stay on earth, he’ll swallow his distaste and take … one for the team. Eternity with Marla by his side, however, is going to feel like a damned long time.
Quinn doesn’t understand why aliens have come to earth, or why Marla looks so pleased to work with them. Quinn is scared to death to have them notice her and put her under the same kind of spell, something she might find hard to fight considering how handsome the golden, curly-haired E.T. is with all those glorious muscles. And scrub the thought of that intriguing piercing through his bottom lip that makes her tongue long to test its contours. No. Her best bet is to stay hidden and hope he and his friends don’t plan on taking over the world.

OMG this is absolutely my favorite book in the series so far. Poor Quinn had had a hard life. Shamash thinks Marla is his chosen which sucks cause he doesn’t like her lol.
There’s not a lot I can say as to not ruin the book but trust me is it so good.
It’s best to read the books in order so you get the whole world and the great characters plus it will help understand more.
Justice Has Claws
Immortals Book 10

Oh My, where do I begin to tell you just how much I LOVE this series.
This is the next great book in the series of the Immortals, Mesopotamian Gods.
The story begins in Mesopotamia in the year 1992 BC.
Shamash the God of Salvation has been wrongly accused of murder and sentenced to serve King Nergal battling demons of the Underworld. He isn’t alone though, the rest of the yummy Gods in the series are right there next to him. All serving the King of Hell, all innocent of the crimes they were convicted of.
The Gods are doomed to walk the Earth invisible to all, destined to see but never able to touch or belong anywhere. That is unless the find their chosen or soul mates, of course a blood relative will also make them corporal once again.
A dream they all share, to feel the earth at their feet, sun on their faces, wonderful food and drink and of course to hold and cherish their loved one.
Each of the Gods have a second form, Shamash can transform into a beautiful golden leopard.
While on a little family outing to the local circus with little Maity (Daughter of the God Absu) he suddenly becomes corporal. This can mean one of two things, either his chosen is close or a blood family member is.
The problem, the only one he can think may be her is the lion tamer Marla who is about to become kitty kibble. When he saves the day for her he can’t help but realize there is absolutely no chemistry between them. An unknown little lady who was hidden, Quinn? Now that’s a different story.
Quinn does all the maintenance on the circus grounds and has been watching and caring for Jeremiah, the poor abused lion. She witnessed Jeremiahs attack on Marla and seen the impossible. A man turning into a Leopard. Were he and the rest of the strangers Aliens?
How can she be the only one who can see the Aliens, even the ghost like ones? Why does she feel drawn to the golden hair man/alien/cat?
There are so many times I thought yeah I know what’s going to happen next but then a different turn changes your thoughts.
I have followed this amazing series from the very first book and with every single one I think “This is the best one yet”. WELL, guess what This IS the best one. If you haven’t started reading any of them then you will absolutely want to read them all.
I stayed up all night reading and only stopped to have lunch. As I told this amazing Author once, who needs sleep when you have a God waiting for you.
I honestly loved it and also own them all. A series you will want to read more than once. If you are a fan of Immortal Gods then you really need to read this series, you won’t be sorry.
