Blind since birth, Corrie Madison relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as a chiropractor. Never did she imagine she’d have to depend on them to identify a killer. But when a man enters her practice, murdering everyone in his path, Corrie is the only witness—putting her directly in the killer’s crosshairs.
Officer Quint Axton wasn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, until he … until he meets Corrie. Beautiful and brave, resilient and intelligent, she’s everything Quint wants—if he can keep her alive long enough to explore their mutual attraction. The threats on Corrie’s life are escalating. Surely a blind person is helpless against a ruthless killer?
Hardly. Corrie is about to prove that disabled does not equal defenseless.
**Justice for Corrie is the 3rd book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Too much foul language
Very predictable
This author knows a lot about blindness and how someone can be on their own.
It was suspenseful, and, romantic.
Love reading about someone who is blind and independent.
This book definitely kept my attention. It did so well that I bought more of the series!
Good book. I liked the action and it was a very cute romance. It was somewhat predictable, but still a worthwhile read.
This isn’t my first read by this author. She adds an enormous amount of detail to help you understand the lead female character. Of course the more detail meant more questions I had. I sort of have to get use to love that happens so fast but I applaud the writer for bringing us diverse, strong characters.
The story was good, as were the characters. Unfortunately the author seemed to have an agenda to promote PC language and attitudes toward those with handicaps and gay/lesbian couples. The character Corrie didn’t want her blindness to define her, but the author kept bringing it up when it wasn’t necessary. Half way through the book we knew she was blind, the author didn’t need to keep reminding us, for example… she looked where she thought his face was. Just didn’t seem necessary.
While I liked the main characters, they both seemed a bit too good to be real. The story was ok, easy to read, HEA.
This author has some teeth-grindingly bad habits that reduce the leval of her prose to “very young adult. “ Chief among them? The use of “not one bit” to emphasize (again and again) a statement such as “He didn’t like it, not one bit.” And referring repeatedly to some characters as “Mr. “ as if the she is eight years old.
Tedious recital of adaptive devices and an unrealistically sloooow moving plot till the very tidy wrap up didn’t help.
The unique characters add an unusual demention to the story
A stand alone enjoyable read.
I liked the real quirkiness of the characters.
Would have enjoyed more of a storyline and a little less bedtime.
As a visually impaired person, this author has done her research! A true testament to those dealing with any form of blindness and is truly inspirational!! A great read!!!
I love the Quint and Corrie love story!! Also the inspiration that comes from her blind battle against all odds! This story is empowering and full of love! Definitely a thriller with heart!
Interesting, funny, different type of female lead. Strong characters are the best! I was rooting for both of them.
I love nearly every story by this author! (I think there have been two I wasn’t overly fond of as a whole, but even those had things I enjoyed, so that’s a pretty good track record!)
Corrie & Quint’s story is up there in my high-enjoyment scale! The writing is on-point, the storyline is very exciting & kept me turning pages, and Corrie & Quint are both great characters! If you’ve read this author’s work, you’ll know what I mean when I saw Corrie’s situation reminded me a lot of Jessyka’s, and I absolutely LOVED how the climactic happenings … happened. I can’t say much more because I don’t want to spoil the story, but in both instances, I love love love how everything was written!!
On the relationship front, the way Corrie & Quint interact, and the way he is so fascinated by everything that is her… swoon-worthy, for sure!! : )
Wonderful
This is my first of the Badge of Honor series and I LOVED it. I started with the SEAL of Protection series and if you have read these, you will love this series also. Ms Stoker tells a great love story along with the element of danger. Her handling of Corrie’s blindness is wonderful, reinforcing the fact that people the rest of the world consider disabled, are indeed, VERY able. Quint’s character shows a sensitivity that isn’t condescending or awkward.
Although I started with #3, I look forward to reading all of this series as well as Delta Force Heroes (all three series are connected with reoccurring and overlapping characters)
