Blind since birth, Corrie Madison relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as a chiropractor. Never did she imagine she’d have to depend on them to identify a killer. But when a man enters her practice, murdering everyone in his path, Corrie is the only witness—putting her directly in the killer’s crosshairs.
Officer Quint Axton wasn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, until he … until he meets Corrie. Beautiful and brave, resilient and intelligent, she’s everything Quint wants—if he can keep her alive long enough to explore their mutual attraction. The threats on Corrie’s life are escalating. Surely a blind person is helpless against a ruthless killer?
Hardly. Corrie is about to prove that disabled does not equal defenseless.
**Justice for Corrie is the 3rd book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

This is another great addition to the series!
Great story
Let me just put this upfront…I loved, loved, love Corrie and Quint! Susan Stoker hit a grand slam when she created thus couple. Starting with Corrie “hearing” a murder and ending with their HEA, I was completely riveted. Quint’s genuine interest in learning everything about Corrie’s well ordered life and his efforts to give her ordinary experiences was heartwarming. Corrie’s utter strength, resilience and sheer determination was captivating. This couple has definitely moved into my favorite’s list.
“Justice for Corrie” is book three in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes series. It is the story of Corrie Madison, a chiropractor, blind since birth and Quint Axton, a cop with the San Antonio police department. Corrie has everything set up in a way that she can move around in her home and in her office as if she wasn’t blind. While in her office, she hears the unmistakable sound of gunfire, and when it is over she is alive but also a witness to murder. This is not a good position for her to be put in, so Quint decides that whatever it takes, he will keep her safe.
This was a fantastic book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and proves that being disabled is not being defenseless.
He has been a police officer for ten years I love his mantra Honor the Fallen protect those who are weak Serve those who need help Remember those less fortunate he does that day in and day out She has been blind since birth but she does everything the same as him they came into her office and shot and killed her coworkers she can identify them and so they want to silence her for good He protects her at all costs they have sizzling romance fall in love the bad guys take her to a cabin in the woods she climbs out a window and climbs a tree to escape them He and other members of law enforcement come to rescue her a happy ending
This story was really good. All the stories have a character who has a disability or issue and they overcome it to become such an awesome hardcore person. Corrie is blind but that hasn’t slowed her down. She is a chiropractor and very independent. Quint is a SAPD officer and they become intertwined while working on her case where someone came into her practice and murdered a bunch of people. Now she is being hunted and quint will do anything to protect her. They have a cool relationship. He is intrigued by her and all that she is. He is alpha all the way by very romantic and respectful of her.
Corrie and Quint Met with a crash in a restaurant and eversince Quint ist drawn to her. Sehr, independent as all he** doesn’t need a man in her life, but in Quint she met her perfect match.
That is another wonderful story by the author though this one is not as intense as so many other books in this or other series by the author – might be because of the quite fast pace the story takes starting with the Shooting and ending with picking up Corrie in the woods. Nevertheless a very good one – and Tex gets into the action one more time and safes the day.
Justice for Corrie is my favourite book in this series so far! I loved that the heroine was blind from birth and it was fiercely real, not something that could be fixed and the Author wrote this into the story beautifully. Describing even the day to day tasks in detail so you could really understand how simple tasks are more complicated for Corrie and how important good communication is for her.
Quint Axton is the Hero her a Texas PD officer he is called becomes involved in a case where Corrie is the sole survivor/witness of several murders at her workplace. Quint is an all round good guy, protective and possessive of Corrie but doesn’t smother her. I loved that he was willing to learn from her and saw her disability as a positive and a part of her. I found the way he doted on her really empowering and because of Corrie’s inability to see their intimate relationship was written in a deeper way, the senses were used differently and I really liked this take on things, the sensuality really came across.
Of course there is always the suspense edge to these stories and Corrie becomes the target of the guys out to finish what the started. Corrie is one incredible woman and even faced with a foe she cannot see in unfamiliar surroundings she still manages to kick ass and do everything she can to save herself. This book really stood out for me and I hope more people read Corrie’s story, I can tell that the Author put a lot of work into making Corrie authentic and for me it was a success.
Quinton & Corrie are perfect for each other. Quinton really gets Corrie. Her insecurities and her determination. She understands that he is all about protecting her and understanding how she thrives in everyday life.
It was interesting how much Corrie was able to help figure out what happened at the office. Really, even if it was a sighted person, they wouldn’t have ‘seen’ any more than she could.
Erin Mallon did an awesome job narrating.
Being blind since birth has not prevented Corrie Madison from honing her other senses. Never did she imagine that she will be using them to identify a killer, much so outrunning him when he comes after her.
Officer Quint Axton wasn’t looking for a relationship until he meets Corrie. As the threats in Corrie’s life escalate, Quint realises that if he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, he must do all he can to keep her alive.
Justice for Corrie was, to me, a reminder that physical weakness should never define a person. I know this is easier said than done, and some might say that I am being insensitive to what others would think of as anomalies or imperfections. Yes, to others, these imperfections cause their feelings of inadequacy. For being “undesirable, less than.”
But, Corrie. She is blind, but she survived, right?
She’s a fictional character, some would say, and therefore, not real. Of course Susan Stoker would make sure that her heroine would rise above her assigned plot twist, right? Of course, Corrie needs a happily ever after, right?
Yes, not everyone gets a happily ever after. Yes, not all physical weaknesses—acquired at birth, or inherited—can be healed.
BUT, and I mean BUT—everyone has the right to overcome physical disability.
Everyone has the right to thrive. Most of all, everyone has the right to learn how to use their physical disabilities to their advantage. It is up to us, to lead the way.
To those who say I am trivialising an issue best swept under the rug, I ask, how about our wounded veterans? Should we just say thank you for your service, goodbye?
Should we tell a polio victim—one whose hands mind are 100 percent functional—that they can’t be important members of society? President Lincoln would turn in his grave if that was the case!
For that matter—should we tell a blind person that he or she cannot become an active member of the workforce simply because they cannot see?
Or maybe those of us who believe that these men and women—whose handicaps were never their choice—maybe they are more capable of making the world we live in a better place.
So no, blindness, or any physical handicap, for that matter, should never be seen as a weakness, but as a strength that should be overcome and honed to perfection.
All of Susan Stoker romantic suspense novels are winners with very realistic a believable characters, strong storylines with a hot romance. I’ve never been disappointed with anything she’s written that I’ve been fortunate enough to have read. They are thrilling, edgy and suspenseful enough to keep you glued to you Kindle!
Quint and Corrie
The third book in the badge of honour series is like a breath of fresh air. Corrie is born blind and when she hears murders occurring in her place of work, she hides in a place not many would think to look! When she goes to meet her lawyer a week or so after the event, she meets Quint.
Quint is fascinated by this woman who is blind but also who takes no nonsense from anyone when he meets her Hearing that this woman is potentially in danger, his protective instincts towards her kick in and he quickly wrangles a date out of her
A quick but intense read and I’m looking forward to more in this series and eventually getting around to reading Penelope’s story
Captivating! This was a very interesting, suspenseful and captivating story. An edge of your seat suspense with romance and some sexy times to keep you wanting more. Quint was the perfect match for Corrie and I loved that he was so in tune with Corrie and her blindness. It was very enlightening to me. A great story for someone looking for a great romantic suspense and also something a little different.
Even though I’m a follower of this author it’s the first book that I’ve had the time to read. I need to go back and start this series from the beginning now. I absolutely loved it, for a minute there I thought she was an Aussie like me as the story read like a group of my friends talking. (didn’t need to look up an American phrase once) With saying that the story read fast paced and flawlessly, the characters were engaging and real. Such an interesting concept having the female character blind and showing such strength of character and the alpha male so into her and strong yet sensitive to her needs. I LOVED that he learned Braille and entered her world in other ways too. This is a must read book, I laughed and cried toward the end. Kidnapping, murder, suspense, drama and love…what a ride.
Another great book from Susan Stoker. This book was a unique twist with a blind female since birth who took care of herself very well. When she’s a “witness” to murders in her clinic where she hid, she’s scared, but determined to help in anyway she could. She meets Quint who is a police officer while she is giving a statement and the sparks begin to fly. This was a great book to read.
Action packed story about Corrie, a blind chiropractor, who is the only person alive after a shooting in the workplace. She is now the target of two psychopaths. Parts of the story are quite harrowing but keep you engaged.
I found the beginning of the story a bit stilted and it took me a good few chapters to like the characters.
Awesome
Corrie was blind since birth but led a pretty normal life. She worked as a chiropractor with a partner. She was getting ready for a client when she heard gun shots & she his. She is the only one who survived. Quint is a SAPD officer. He met her a lunch when a waiter was rude when he pumped into her. She was meeting her lawyer because she was being threatened. Quint treated her as normal. Bad guys were the to kill her. It takes the guys to revue her.
Loved this book fell in love with all the characters!! Can’t wait for more!
I like all of Susan’s books
Love all of Susan Stoker books
