Carly Smith came by her trust issues honestly. A victim of sex trafficking, she’s been at the mercy of merciless men, ignored by law enforcement officers who should have helped her, and seemingly rejected by her family. She can’t even trust herself to do the right thing. Though she escaped her captors and is working hard on building a new life, the past continues to haunt her when she discovers … discovers that the man she couldn’t bring herself to report to police for fear of reliving her captivity is still out there, luring vulnerable girls under the guise of being a modeling agent.
When her own niece is kidnapped, Carly must overcome her fears and come forward with the information she has before it’s too late. When that proves to be not enough, she’ll have to go after the perpetrators herself.
Award-winning author Patricia Bradley keeps the suspense taut and the stakes high in this fast-paced story that will have readers turning pages long into the night.

Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley is fabulous contemporary Christian crime suspense. It is the fourth book in the Memphis cold Case series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Once more cold cases are linked to present day crimes in the form of kidnap and trafficking. Without any morals or scruples there is a gang operating that needs to be found and taken down.
There is the theme of identity as the reader and the characters seek the identity of the perpetrators. Names are important as without the correct name, people are harder to track. New names sometimes link to changed identities.
There is no honour among thieves. Everyone is out for themselves. Trust is in short supply. In contrast there are some huge hearts who seek to protect and save the vulnerable.
There are themes of justice, revenge and forgiveness. Sometimes we find it hard to forgive but we need to remember that we have been forgiven and so we must forgive. To withhold forgiveness will always damage us.
Justice Delivered was an exciting read. I read it with heart racing, completely immersed in the action, as the tension rose. I have loved this Memphis Cold Case series. It has been absorbing and thrilling.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
Stellar suspense book from gifted author Patricia Bradley.
Patricia Bradley brought out the horrors of human trafficking through a woman who escaped and showed the lengths a person would go to help find someone who is on their way to being put into the human trafficking world. The whole idea of human trafficking sickens me. I can’t imagine the horrors those young woman have to go through. Bradley used a current horror and wrote a fast-paced suspense novel that gripped me from the confusing opening prologue. I really enjoyed the story. This is how a suspense novel should be composed. Something horrible in the opening chapter with plenty of down moments filled with equal moments of doubt and cliff-hangers at the end of the chapters. I didn’t want to put the book down. I wanted to see justice done and Lexi set free from what could be her future. The romance is the way I like it too. There but not the main focus of the story. I believe fans of Lynette Eason, Dani Pettrey, and DiAnn Mills would enjoy this novel.
I received a complimentary copy of Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley from Revell Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.
ADRENALINE RUSH!
JUSTICE DELIVERED (Memphis Cold Case #4) by Patricia Bradley delivers a total Adrenaline Rush! Main character Carly Smith will grab your heart as you learn her background and then discover the grit, grace and fortitude instilled in the young woman. She has made an almost total transformation of her life in spite of the vile things that were perpetrated on her by others – including law enforcement officers who chose to look the other way instead of helping her and other young girls like her. Carly has no one she can trust and often wonders if she can even trust herself. Will she find just one person she can trust? Can she trust her former boyfriend who is now a law enforcement officer and work with him during some of her most terrifying times? This book is a thriller and I read it in one day! I was provided an ARC of this book by Revell Publishing and NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
In Justice Delivered, Patricia Bradley delivers with a stunning, page-turner that will leave you dropping everything to finish it. This book is the fourth book in this series. Readers can read this book and the other books by themselves, but I highly recommend all of them. Ms. Bradley’s books are full of suspense and will leave you guessing throughout. This book focuses on a cold case(s) in Memphis. Carly Smith was kidnapped and sold into prostitution for several years. Eventually, she is able to get free from her perpetrators. She needs healing, but she is also afraid to allow anyone to know she is alive. However, after hearing of another girl with similar circumstances to her own, she decides she must be brave enough to face her past and determine who was behind her kidnapping. As she faces her past, she is reunited with people from her past who were important to her. Read as you discover who she can and cannot trust in this page turner. I highly recommend this book and know you will not be disappointed!!! I loved it!!!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, I have purchased her books before.
Justice Delivered is the 4th book in Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case series. I did not read the other books in the series, but I feel that this book can be read as a stand alone novel. Patricia Bradley created a fast-paced novel filled with a lot of action and suspense. She tells the story of Cary Smith, a former human trafficking victim, who finds herself in danger again when she returns to her hometown. Her niece ends up being kidnapped, and with the help of detective Logan Donovan, Carly needs to share everything she knows about the possible perpetrators before it’s too late for everyone involved.
This is a well written novel that will keep readers anticipating what will happen next. I was not expecting the identity of the final person involved in the crimes, and the ending really surprised me. This is a novel that fans of romantic suspense will enjoy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
I finished this book in one sitting. It was gripping and compelling and the best of the series!
The books in this series have just gotten better and better. Props to Patricia Bradley for really hitting her stride in this series.
Bradley handled the topic of human sex trafficking in both a believable and respectful way. Carly was a character I greatly enjoyed rooting for and getting to know. Getting inside her struggle to both be loved and to forgive were powerful markers to the gospel. I would recommend this series to any of my friends.
Excellent police fiction. Intersecting storylines tackling a tough issue – human trafficking. Would be good for susceptible girls aged 16+ to read. Human interest as well.
I’m hoping I haven’t spoiled the series by reading books 1 and then 4.
Justice delivered is an absolute winner in the romantic suspense genre. Patricia Bradley deals with a hot issue in our world today giving us a look at the trafficking industry and how devastating the aftermath can be for those who have escaped. It offers an emotional punch as she keeps it real, making the reader’s heart jump with joy and pound with fear along with our protagonist. Full of twists and turns it keeps you guessing right up until the surprise ending.
Abducted as a teenager, Carly Smith has courageously forged out her new life. Now her job is working with teens who are dealing with addiction, homelessness and some who have been trafficked into prostitution. Helping them is her way of giving back. But she has a secret that may soon put her in more danger than she fears. A trip to her home town after years away could put her in the crosshairs of the very people she’s escaped. As the tension mounts who can she trust? Her family? An old flame? In the end will justice and forgiveness prevail?
This book has it all and I highly recommend it.
Suspense! Danger! A sex traffiking ring in Memphis! Carly Smith is a brave woman determined to help other young women since she escaped her captors and has built a new life. When business takes her back to Memphis and someone takes a shot at her, Carly is even more afraid to trust anyone including law enforcement! Who recognizes Carly as Heather Morgan? Logan Donovan is a police officer who says he wants to find the shooter but he was at the party when Heather (Carly) was kidnapped. Can she trust him? Things become more terrifying when Carly’s niece is kidnapped and Carly realizes what Lexi’s future holds. All of the main characters in Justice Delivered are great. I have loved all of the Memphis Cold Case series and recommend Justice Delivered to anyone who enjoys suspense. I received an advance e-book of Justice Delivered through Net Galley. This is my honest opinion.
This is one of the best suspense books I’ve read. Ever.
I’ve read two of Patricia’s other books and both were great, but this one tops them all. I was immediately sucked into the fast-paced plot and was not let back out until the end of the story, though I really wish is hadn’t ended.
Right from the very beginning, I could feel with Carly and the other characters. It was almost like I was them, experiencing exactly what they were. When their pulse kicked up, mine did too, even though no one was trying to kill me in real life. And when they relaxed, which wasn’t for long, I began to let my guard down as well, only to be astonished yet again. One thing that also amazed me was how well I could feel with Carly. She felt a strong and intense fear and, though I didn’t feel quite a strong of a fear, I did feel it with her, and that made the story all the much more enjoyable and realistic, and it made me jumpy.
Not only were the characters well developed and the story filled with suspense, but I thought it was also filled to the brim with very realistic faith elements. It was not over the top preachy, but it also wasn’t non-existent. Carly’s faith journey was so very real, not pushed or over the top, but wonderfully perfect, and that I appreciated very much. She still had weaknesses even though she was the main character, and she was able to humble herself, and let God work in her heart. I loved it!
So, can you tell I loved this story? I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves suspense but, just so you are aware, it does deal with some more mature themes, as you can see from the summary. She was not too descriptive or graphic, but it still might bother some people, especially younger audiences.
**I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed in the review are my own.**
Wow. I’ve been following Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case series and have loved the books so far but this one blew my socks off! In her trademark fashion, Patricia Bradley starts the book off with a bang and weaves an intricate plot with twists and turns and surprises along the way at a fast pace. If you enjoy well-written suspense with non-stop action and characters that grab your heart, you will absolutely love this book.
Carly, our heroine, is a victim of trafficking but she rises above her fears and past mistakes to become a substance abuse counselor to young women. She’s strong, determined, intelligent yet emotionally vulnerable. Logan is a Memphis police officer who dated Carly many years ago before her disappearance. He’s strong, steady, and dependable and ends up crossing paths with Carly multiple times when she returns to Memphis. Unfortunately her return triggers a cascade of events that Carly hadn’t predicted and she must learn to trust others and work with them to rescue her kidnapped niece. There is also a subplot of romance between Maggie (criminal defense lawyer) and widower David (cold case detective) who also happens to be Carly’s brother-in-law and father of the missing child. The romance between both couples is sweet and only a small portion of the plot. The cold case of Carly’s sister’s unresolved death plays a minor role in the story but does serve to jumpstart the action and tie everything together.
The book is fourth in the series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. There are cameo appearances of previous characters but they’re so inconspicuous that you wouldn’t even catch them in the story unless you knew who they were. Patricia Bradley is a master of grab-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense and you don’t want to miss this one!
I received a copy of the book from Baker Publishing via Interviews & Reviews book review program and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
This book was amazing! I read it in one day-late into the night-so I could finish because I wanted to find out who the “bad guys” were and what was going to happen next.
Lots of steady action and suspense from beginning to end. I couldn’t stop reading!! The story deals with issues like sex trafficking, drugs and addictions; so I wouldn’t recommend it for young adult readers. There are no graphic scenes but it’s so emotionally hard to read about topics like that, especially knowing it is true and happens even today.
Carly was such a great, strong, courageous woman who didn’t let her tragic past define and ruin her future. Instead she used it to help others and I liked how the author shared coping mechanisms that Carly used during her dark times. I feel like this story and character-although fiction-could help and inspire other struggling women.
I also loved the other characters-Maggie, David, Lexi and Lia in this book. This story is told over a 16 year span when Carly (Heather) is sold into slavery and then after escaping, transitions into “normal life”.
Lots of action, twists and turns-highly recommend this Christian fiction suspense book!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
A victim of sex trafficking, Carly Smith’s trust goes to few people. She’s been burned repeatedly by those who should have helped her, including law enforcement. Now that she’s finally free, and helping others coming out of the lifestyle, Carly is horrified to hear from one of the girls she counsels, that she was lured into sex trafficking by a man who fits the description of the same man who lured Carly in. Focused on finding this man, and stopping his evil, Carly travels home and catches the eye of Logan Donovan. Detective Logan Donovan. The man who took her to the party where she made her first contact with the “modeling scout”. Could he have been in on it all those years ago?
When Carly’s questions get her shot, Logan begins to suspect that she’s not who she says she is. Since Carly doesn’t trust any cops, that leaves her brother-in-law and Logan out of her loop, but she feels that Maggie, the lawyer who represents the local women’s shelter, can be trusted – even if she is dating her brother-in-law. When her niece is snatched off the street near her home, Carly’s world gets even scarier than it was. How can she protect her identity, and get her niece away from the evil that nearly destroyed her?
Logan Donovan has never found a woman to compare to his first love, Heather Morgan. When she disappeared, she took a large part of his heart with her. Wouldn’t you know, the first woman to interest him since is one with way too many secrets? There’s something about Carly Smith that intrigues him, and when he catches a glimpse of her eyes, he’s sure he knows her from somewhere. He’s only known one woman with starburst eyes, and this one has them, too. Could this be Heather? As he investigates first her shooting, then the abduction of his friend David’s daughter, he becomes more convinced that Heather has returned. Can he handle her truth?
Can Carly find the men who stole eight years from her before they do the same to her 11-year-old niece? Will she find that she can trust more than just her best friend? Will following the clues get her killed?
Wow! Patricia Bradley knows how to ramp up the suspense until it screams, or her readers do! I can’t tell you how often I had to tell myself – “Calm down. It’s only a story.” The scariest part for me was, this whole story really could happen, and maybe does.
I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense, because both were exceptional. This was five-star all the way!
This riveting suspense kept me up all night! A definite page-turner. Carly Smith was fighting for her life and I had to help her escape her captors as she fought to stay alive.
Carly attempts to rebuild her life after years of captivity, but her past returns with a vengeance. She returns to Memphis where the life as she’d know as a seventeen-year-old ended. She’d never forget going to a party with a friend where a man posing as a modeling agent offered her a job. He had talked her into leaving with him that night. A decision that changed her life forever, and a decision Carly sorely regretted.
After Carly’s escape, she is determined to find the man who had ruined her life. It isn’t until Carly learns of her niece’s kidnapping that she is forced to face her insecurities and fears if she wants to find and save her niece. But, because her trust in men and police officers was shattered during her captivity, Carly feels there’s no other choice but to find the abductor herself.
The more she questions people and exposes supposed names of her captors, the more danger she falls into. But, she doesn’t give up. The twists keep coming and don’t let up until the end. Once you think you’ve got Carly free from danger, something else happens.
Patricia Bradley successfully grips the reader with an intriguing plot, unexpected twists, and well-developed characters.
I have to give this book five stars.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
If you’re looking for a quick-moving, intense story that will keep you guessing, look no further. In the latest Memphis Cold Case book, Carly (aka Heather) returns to town to make certain a dangerous man is held accountable and doesn’t hurt girls any longer.
Carly has a few connections to the police, including a brother-in-law she’s never met, but she doesn’t know whether she can trust them. She’s experienced police corruption before. But when her niece goes missing, she has no other choice than to reveal her identity and work alongside them.
I was able to figure out a couple of the villains (and there are plenty to go around in Justice Delivered) and waffled on the identity of the last. And just when I thought all was well, boom! Another surprise.
And if you like the romance portion of romantic suspense, you’ll enjoy the double dose in Patricia Bradley’s latest.
Human trafficking, kidnapping, revenge, and family reconciliation and reconnection all play a part in this story that’s hard to put down once you get started.

Justice Delivered is the exciting fourth installment from Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case series. This addition to the series has to be my favorite. It involves horrible issues that is happening around the world today, which is human trafficking. It is packed full of action, mystery and suspense. I could not put it down until I read the last page.
I give Justice Delivered five stars and highly recommend it for readers who enjoy clean suspenseful books.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Compelling characters, southern flair, and shocking plot twists — Patricia Bradley delivers a gripping suspense.
Carly Smith came by her trust issues honestly. A victim of sex trafficking, she’s been at the mercy of merciless men, ignored by law enforcement officers who should have helped her, and seemingly rejected by her family. She can’t even trust herself to do the right thing. Though she escaped her captors and is working hard on building a new life, the past continues to haunt her when she discovers that the man she couldn’t bring herself to report to police for fear of reliving her captivity is still out there, luring vulnerable girls under the guise of being a modeling agent.
When her own niece is kidnapped, Carly must overcome her fears and come forward with the information she has before it’s too late. When that proves to be not enough, she’ll have to go after the perpetrators herself.
This book started out slow. But then the paced picked up quickly. The story gripped me and I didn’t want to put it down. The story line was a difficult one to read though. I know sex trafficking is real but to have it described like it was in the book, was sometimes hard to read. Overall, I recommend this book.
I was given this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
