Fate made us brothers, loyalty made us family. A bond that runs deeper than the Mississippi, my brothers and I might not have the same DNA but what we share is far more powerful. Our loyalty to one another and the man who made us a family is stronger than those bound by blood. The most sought out sharp shooters in the country, our paths were certain, before one woman changed my life and altered … one woman changed my life and altered the relationship I have with my brothers.
Ryanne Lockwood disappeared without a trace but her memory never faded, torturing me on the darkest nights. Until a twist of fate leads me back to her, sending our worlds to collide once more, and this time, there will be no escaping me.

Justice Creed’s bad boy appeal caught my attention from the moment he rolled into town. For years I watched from afar, swallowing up the rumors that surrounded him. Until we shared a night of forbidden passion. One that destroyed my heart and reshaped my soul, and it sent me fleeing from the only town I’ve ever known.
Now, years later, he’s barged back into my life, uncovering a secret I’ve worked so hard to keep and it’s one that will change our lives forever.

Justice is the first book in the Creed brother series by K.C. Lynn and can be read as a standalone. Ryanne has had a crush injustice Creed forever, but the day she turns 18, she decides to go after what she wants. When she tries to tell him, she misreads a situation with his brothers and decides to take off – especially when her life and the life of her baby is threatened. Six years later, Justice finds out and decides he’ll do anything to keep the girl he’s lost and his little girl.
This was my first KC Lynn book and I loved it! She took the standard secret baby trope and gave it really different dynamics. I enjoyed how j/p Justice was and I liked that it actually took some time for him to forgive her. Ryanne was great as the mom who is just trying to get by. I liked that she had stayed true to Justice, but I didn’t like how she didn’t call Justice out when he asked her if shed slept with anyone else over their separation. Ill definitely be following and reading this author – I can’t wait for the other brothers’ books!
Story:
Trope: second chance/secret baby
Angst:
Smexy:
Triggers: assault
**3.5**
On Ryanne’s 18th birthday she asks the man that she has been in love with for years, Justice Creed, to give her one night, just the two of them. They have an amazing night together only to be ruined the next morning by some harsh words that Justice says. A month later when Ryanne is trying to reach out to Justice she is assaulted and then is sees a naked women in the apartment he shares with his brothers. She is devastated, with the help of Justice’s dad she flees the town. Six years later Justice finds her and finds that she has a daughter that looks an awful lot like him.
The prologue hooked me. The first couple chapters had me doubting but once they reconnected I was hooked again. I was a bit disappointed with the beginning of this book because I didn’t feel that their backstory was developed enough. We were just told a lot of things and were supposed to accept it. I thought as some point they would be explained but the never were and that is a bummer. BUT, I still really enjoyed this story. Ryanne, Justice and Hannah were amazing. Hannah stole the show for me. I liked how this author voiced Hannah – I felt like a 5 year old was talking/behaving. I really enjoyed that aspect. I liked the bond that the brothers had, I knew where it was coming from but I still felt it was a bit underdeveloped. Hopefully it will come out more in the future books. I liked how this story had a bit of the suspense/mystery aspect going to it. Would have liked to see it played up a bit more but it was still a fun aspect to the story. I enjoyed this book and am VERY eager to get the other brothers’ stories.
Read this when it released last year. Slow. Clap. This book is everything that I was waiting for. Tough subject matter. Tough guys (Justice, Knox, Braxten). Tough leading lady in Ryanne. Cuteness factor in Hannah. Hot. Sexy. Suspenseful. K C is one of my go to authors when I need something to get me back into the mood of reading. This is a part of a series, but there is no cliffhanger. You will love how the story unfolds. I can’t really say anything as I don’t want to ruin the storyline for anyone. Let’s just say you will love it. I devoured this in a few hours. I couldn’t put it down as I wanted to see where Ryanne and Justice’s story was going. Dual point of view.
I loved all of the Creed family relationships that took place in this book. Justice and Ryanne, the brothers, father and sons. And really loved Hannah. What I didn’t love was the racism and hate crimes that took place as a secondary story line. When it started happening, I felt kind of blind-sided by it and probably wouldn’t have read the book had I known it was there.
I loved this book. This was not written with over exaggeration in terms of action and drama. No too much complication just for the sake of an added fillers. The author step out of her box to explore more of her heroes and heroine. She doesn’t contain them and that’s obvious in this book.
10+++ AMAZING stars!!!
I’m not sure any review could really pay enough tribute to this story. It’s a complex story, but a quick read – as in, I did NOT want to put it down! There is so much happening, so much world building, so much character development… Ryanne’s intense feelings for Justice – Justice is just INTENSE – resonate. The way these two come together, the family dynamics, everything works really, really well to tell a fully fleshed out story that completely satisfied me yet made me yearn for more. I could have read another 20 chapters of this book! And we’ll get more chapters of the story, because Braxton & Knox will be getting their own stories. *swoon*
Thatcher Creed’s sage wisdom was a favorite in this story as well. I was blessed to read this early, but when I do a re-read w/ my purchased copy, I know I’m going to have some fantastic highlights!!
I’ll end this here because if I don’t this is going to turn into five more paragraphs of gushing – and I don’t want to spoil anything accidentally because there are some things going on in this story that you just HAVE to read to understand. I LOVED EVERY STINKIN INCH OF THIS STORY!
*happy sigh* Oh yeah, and Knox… he might be my favorite (sorry, Justice, his broodiness might’ve stolen another piece of my heart even while you were stealing it, too!). : )
I love an alpha male, and Justice Creed is the definition of a hot, bad boy, alpha male. His chemistry with the innocent, but resilient and brave, Rayanne, was off the charts. I couldn’t devour this book fast enough to see where this second-chance romance would take me, and Lynn didn’t disappoint. Her writing is flawless and flows seamlessly from one chapter to the next. Add to that two hot brothers, Braxten and Knox, and a softer side of Justice that made my heart melt for 5 SIZZLING Stars!
I don’t even know where to start with this review, i have finished the books and now I’m just lying here taking in what i just read and trying to think about the best way to write how much i loved this book.
For some reason it wasn’t what i was expecting i had this idea in my head of what it was going to be about and i was totally surprised when it was nothing like i though and i loved that, sometimes only seeing a few teasers and previews and pretty much going in blind is the best thing ever cause again i was presently surprised by this story.
The first thing i loved about this book was the family values, whether you were blood or not it didn’t matter, you made a family with who you loved and there was no bigger bond than the three brothers and Thatcher the guy that took them in.
I loved each brother in this book, Justice was possessive of everyone he loved, he was an alpha, he was deep and broody and everything we could possible want in a character and he is one of my favourite book boyfriends this year. Brax was for me the joker and the guy that tried to make light of situations but you know that underneath his bravado he is not what he seems to be, and Knox is such a massive presence in this book that you can’t wait to find out what has made him the way he is.
Then there is a thatcher who took all three boys in and was so selfless and brought them up as his sons, this would have o be my favourite part of the story, the love and protection that they all gave each other was so special. I loved Thatcher he had a past and finding out what happened to him was so heartbreaking and really brought into perspective on how cruel people can be.
Then there is Ryanne she didn’t know what it was like to be loved and that’s all she wanted, she had parents who hated her, she loved a boy that she thought couldn’t be loved and she had a lot of mountains to climb before she would find her happy ever after but she was a strong and loving character who fought for the ones she loved. I loved that Thatcher was again someone she could turn too and he took her in like it was daughter he would never have and help her out even if it was something one of his sons could potentially hate him for.
There was another couple of characters i absolutely adored in this book Gwen was a special character even if she wasn’t in it that much but that’s what KC Lynn does with her writing is make everyone so special and meaningful. Then there was Hannah J for me she made the book and i loved her presence and lightness she brought to the book, it’s always these types of characters that i love the most in books and especially the way KC Lynn writes these precious characters.
If your looking for a book that is so much more than the romance, with town secrets, characters that all have a heavy past and secrets, that gives you the ever loving feels to the point i would tear up and laugh and feel sorrow and sadness then this is a book you must read it is beautiful and perfectly written, and this is why KC Lynn will always be one of my favourite authors.
There are not enough stars to give this book and it deserves a hell of a lot more than 5 amazing stars.
The wait for this book was well worth the wait! I really don’t think you could ever go wrong with a book by KC Lynn as the books I’ve read so far by her were amazing every single time and this one is definitely no different! I seriously cannot wait for the next one to come out in this series.
Ryanne has had a crush on Justice for as long as she can remember but he seems way out of her league for her. When she finally turns 18, one night changes it all for them and maybe, just maybe, she’ll finally have the one thing she’s wanted. But when everything seems to go wrong, she’ll make a choice that not only will change her life but also his.
Justice has been waiting for the moment where Ryanne turns 18 and when finally everything seems to work out, a decision is made that will turn everyone’s world upside down. Years later he finds out what happened that changed the course of not only his life but also her life! But nothing is what is seems and when his family is threatened he’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe. And in the end, maybe there’s a way for both to have everything they ever dreamed about…
I was excited to get a new series about a new group of bad boy.
The prologue brought me to tears, ‘that day we became more than friends, we became brothers. It has the feel of a great family dynamics.
Great start to the series and we are introduced to Justice, Brax and Knox. I did like this book and look forward to more from this series.
OMG!!! I never expected this level of intensity from this storyline and characters. I read all of this authors books and I knew it was going to be amazing, but this is an all new level. A 6 star story to not be missed.
This is an intense, full of alpha males that were so hot that it melted the snow off my roof. It was an highly intriguing, addicting story that kept me hooked. I basically read it in one sitting. I just couldn’t get to sleep because I was consumed by this story.
Standalone for now. This story is about Justine and Ryanne. This is about 3 brothers so I would suggest to start with this one. Brax and Knox play an important role in this book. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story. All of this authors previous stories are all worth the readers time and money.
Justice is just always full of logic, “you just came all over my ***k. I’d say we have a pretty good relationship.” Justice is one honest man he holds back nothing, “he pulls me against his hard body, his arms banding around me. “Yeah, and I’m going to grope you while doing it.” Holy wow! I adored this book these Creed boys sure make things interesting, all of them are broody, and bossy and am I excited for the next book in the series.
Even after having time to digest this, I’m still speechless over Justice. All that comes to mind is… HOLY. EFFING. CREED!
Every time I open one of K.C. Lynn’s books, I’m guaranteed to be sucked into a story that will blow my mind and take me away to a whole other world, and this is no different.
Barely 10% in, I was already hot and bothered in all the right ways, and couldn’t stop from flying through this book. Justice is everything an alpha male should be, demanding and sexy, holding your attention till he is done with you, leaving you nearly naked, panting for air by the end. Then add in his two brothers… you may combust on the spot! As for Ryanne, she is such a strong woman for taking on a man like Justice. She is everything you would hope for in a woman and wish your little girl would grow up to be. I know that she is someone I would strive to be.
Whether it’s Justice and Ryanne or any of the other amazing character’s K.C. introduces you to, you are bound to find a kinship with someone. You can feel her heart and soul in this, and I am certain you are getting 110% of what she has to give. She lets the characters tell their stories through her, and while it may push some boundaries, the story belonged to Justice and Ryanne and what they had to share.
You’ll never look at beer bottles or cigarettes the same way after this first Creed Brothers book. I’m not sure what I am going to do with myself till Braxton and Knox are on my shelf right along side Justice.
absolutely amazing A book you never want to put down. Your heart will break when you meet Justice and his brothers. Things no child should have to go through. Thatcher saved him and his brothers. But Ryanne and Hannah J. taught him to love. Two people who never knew what love was until they found each other. You will instantly fall in love with the Creed Brothers. A true 5+ star. Another awesome story by K.C. Lynn. You thought her other characters were great, just wait until you meet the Creed Brothers.
This is the first book of KC Lynn’s that I have read. She’s now on my list of books that I must read!
This is the first book in the Creed Brothers series.
What these three brothers went through as boys is horrible and heartbreaking. We only got what Justice went through, but I have a feeling the other two’s stories are just as bad, if not worse. They’re lucky they found each other and then later found Thatcher to take them in.
They are family.
“Family is what we make it and whom we make it with. They aren’t always blood or the people who brought us into this world, but they are always loyal, true and love without fault.”
Justice is a sniper. The town hates him. He’s a “badboy”. He’s really not though. He would do anything for his family. And he proves it.
There are a ton of rumors about him and his brothers. Some are true.
Ryanne has always had a crush on him. On her 18th birthday, things really change. I don’t blame her for leaving the town. I would have done the same. I hate that she kept a secret though.
This town, I don’t even know what to say about it. You have the founding families, and regular people.
The founders are completely horrible and corrupt. They’re racist as can be and so full of hate. They run things though. They don’t care about others. Ugh.
This is a great read and I can’t wait for the other two books!
