Presley ‘Elvis’ Carlton was at the top of his game. Number one draft pick, engaged to an up-and-coming model, and voted best player of the decade his first year on the field. Things were golden. . . until an accident saw everything important torn from his grasp. He’s determined to get his life back, though, and with a strict regime, and no time for a life outside of the game, the last thing he … game, the last thing he wants is the attention of a curvy college student whose only motto in life is to not take it too seriously.
Can an Australian expat show the struggling sports star there’s more to life than the next win? Or has Willow Underwood chewed off a chunk of man-meat too thick for her to swallow?
Just Playin’ is a standalone sports romance RomCom that will give you all the feels. It has sexy scenes and several laugh-out-loud moments. This is not tied to any of my other books, and can be enjoyed by itself. AKA: No cliffhangers!

Willow is an Aussie version of a hot mess……Presley is the 69er injured quarterback trying to make a comeback. When they meet the sparks and hilarity are combustible! I was laughing so hard I was crying.

What a great story! The book was hilariously funny, snarky, steamy and heartwarming. The characters were well developed and engaging.
Willow is a college student from Australia who is dragged to a football game by her roommate; she hates football. She gets into an altercation with another fan when he hits a pregnant woman in the face with a beer can – turns out the woman is married to one of the players. They strike up a friendship and she meets Presley “Elvis” Carlton at their house. They start hanging out but he hides the fact he plays pro football from her. She gets an internship with the team and the coach institutes a non fraternization policy which puts a hold on their extra curricular activities. They have a few problems to work out but do get their HEA.

Utterly hilarious, some many scenarios that were laugh out loud, with all the embarrassing moments that make this book a must read. Loved the emotional struggles with both characters, and the support from their friends. Nice plot twist in the end to wrap up the whole storyline. Highly recommend if you love rom-coms.

I LOVED this book. The all-American romance story with an Australian twist.
This is the kind of romance book I will encourage my teenage granddaughters to read.
Good body image for those of us with curves, determination to achieve your goals through hard work and mutual consent (and yes, good sex!), are just some of the things found in this book.
I laughed out loud, I shed a tear and rooted for both the main characters.
I absolutely loved Willow. I can just see this Aussie girl doing and saying as she does in this book.
I understood “Elvis’s” reluctance in the first instance. I loved they had and took the time to get to know each other, and the depth of insight it gave us into them.
I suspected the ‘ex-fiance’ to be up to something, but the extent of her betrayal was a blow I don’t think any of us saw coming. A great light-hearted read.
I can see this made into a Rom-Com movie.
This was such a fabulous rom com.
I snort-laughed and spat my drink out a couple of times.
It was also a close call at one stage with my bladder and an epic laughing fit!!!
Willow will have your belly moving as her quirky, sassy, outrageously funny personality comes to life in Just Playin’.
She is the perfect character. The girl you want to be bff’s with, the girl you want to be, or in Elvis’s case, the girl you want to be with!
And Elvis is the Star football player that everyone wants to be with.. but Willow doesn’t know what he does.
We get the side splitting funny moments, some serious moments but overall this book was the perfect pick me up!
You will totally fall in love with Willow and Elvis. But you will also fall in love with a few other the side characters that help make this book sparkle
Shandi’s first stab at a romcom is brilliant! Well done!
The story of Willow and Elvis is so sweet! This book was full of sexiness and humor. I loved Willow and I think they totally deserve a sequel! Beautiful job Shandi!!
I started reading this book on a train and I had to stop because I was laughing so much I was crying and other passengers thought I had lost my mind. It is a terrific story and even though I had a few tears that were sad they didn’t last long and the ending was perfect. I thought I would miss the Ravenshoe milieu, but Shandi Boyes writes such great stories that now I want more of the 69ers.
Hilarious and Sexy…5 Stars+…
This book is fabulous. Shandi Boyes has outdone herself. I absolutely love the characters, they have so much personality. I was laughing out loud and found myself smiling through-out almost the entire book. WOW on the sexual chemistry! How can you not with a hot, good-looking hunk of a star quarterback named Presley. Then there is beautiful, sexy, voluptuous, Australian college student, Willow, with everything that is coming out of her mouth is hilarious. It’s fast paced and captured my interest from the first page. I loved it and cannot recommend it enough. Be ready to laugh a lot and don’t hesitate to read this book!
This story was LOL! Of course it had some plenty only steam! Willow and Presley get along like a house on fire!! The best parts are
In the story. Read and fined out four yourself I’ll have to say, her first car ride with Elvis was hysterical
