Hetta Coffey is a sassy Texan with a snazzy yacht, and she’s not afraid to use it!
She’s living aboard her forty-five foot boat in Mexico’s spectacular Sea of Cortez, taking work where she can get it and, characteristically, she isn’t all that concerned about any pesky legalities involved.
Docked at a pricey marina in La Paz, her cruising kitty is taking a hit, so when she’s offered a dream job, … dream job, she jumps on it. All she has to do is act as a courier, babysitting equipment and sensitive documentation for her former employer to their new offices in France.
Not only does she get to revisit a country she once lived in and loved, she’ll meet with her significant other, Jenks Jenkins, in Paris. Oh là là! An easy job and a romantic vacation, all paid for; what could possibly go wrong?
With Hetta? Just about everything.

These books are so much fun to read.
as always a terrific story..with i could have been there.
Fun read. Well written
Not my usual read, I was hooked right from the beginning.
Great book. It was so enjoyable
The Hetta Coffey character is a great source of entertainment as well as informative of many settings and interesting supporting characters. Even the rescued dog is a great addition to the plots in all the books I’ve read . I want more of Hetta and her adventures. I definitely recommend.
It was fun to read. The characters were well drawn.
Too far fetched–not enough to keep me interested. I really like stories
that take place in other countries, but this was not appealing.
Well crafted book. A very easy read and well written visuals.
Easy lighthearted book to read. Very enjoyable.
Love the characters. I’m waiting for the next in series.
I enjoyed travelling in France …. very amusing tale …..
Amusing
What a fun book!
Fun
Just a fun read loved it
Just love this author. Have read many of her other stories and enjoyed them all.
One of my favorite series to read. Probably because I am also a boater. Stories are overall clever and fun. I like the characters, although Hetta and friend Jan are a bit too immature for my liking. All in all though , I do like the “Hetta” series and look forward to the next.
Little too much stereotypical character traits. I get it, main character is from Texas, and y’all are in France
Smart, intelligently written “high-Jinx” by Ms Schwartz. Bring us more!
