Jasmine Bell’s Monday was not going as planned. After a routine visit to her doctor ended with a prescription for prenatal vitamins, she went home to tell her fiancé the news—only to find him otherwise engaged…with a hot blonde on their kitchen table.Things only got worse when Jasmine arrived at work and had a meet-puke with a very hot, very sexy new arrival to Harper’s Crossing.Leo Taylor was … Crossing.
Leo Taylor was back in his hometown for a temporary stay. Emphasis on the “temporary” part. Just long enough to make sure his grandparents got back on their feet, and then it was back to the next adventure. Things were going as planned until he showed up to his first day on the job and was blindsided when a stunning, hazel-eyed brunette stopped him dead in his tracks.
As a driven girl that always has a plan for everything, will Jasmine see that sometimes the best things in life come when you throw away the map? As a restless guy who’s never been satisfied unless he’s continent-hopping, will Leo discover that love can be biggest adventure of all?
Author’s Note: Just One Touch is a stand-alone Crossroads Bachelorettes surprise pregnancy, small-town romance complete with a swoony HEA and plenty of toe-curling, tingle-inspiring heat and warm-and-fuzzies inducing heart along the way!

Leo has come home to run his grandfathers business while he is recovering, last thing he thought would happen was to fall for the girl in the picture. Jasmine thought she was going to finally get her own family she craved so much when a surprise on the kitchen table turns her life upside down. These two had instant chemistry and you will laugh out loud at some parts of this the last book in the crossroad series. Two thumbs way up on this one.
I can’t believe this is the last Crossroads book. I have really enjoyed this series and all the residents of Harper’s Crossing and Leo and Jasmine were no exception! Jasmine has had a really hard life and is looking for a stable life – thinking marriage to her long time boyfriend – and a surprise pregnancy makes 3! All is great until she walks in on her fiancé with another woman and then all her hopes and dreams go up in smoke. So what does any strong woman who has been fighting her whole life do… she marches on and in Jasmine’s case – she went to work. And walks right into Leo! Leo is home for a “short term” trip to help his grandparents and has NO intent to fall in love and stay but love at first sight is what happens when he comes upon Jasmine’s picture at his Grandfather’s vet practice. Leo is a great guy and wants to be there to help Jasmine in her transition to being single and being a single mother. Their love is inevitable but they still face hurdles regarding Jasmine’s ability to trust and Leo’s desire to stay. A great way to end the series. I loved these two and cheered for them from page 1!
Heartwarming, sexy and fun romantic journey filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists, exciting turns and undeniable passion. Was a excellent read from beginning to sweetly thrilling end. Really enjoyed this adventure!
Melanie Shawn invades your world, in the best possible way. I have loved every one of the Crossroads series and so glad its gone out with a bang, a big bang for sure. So many babies, so much love, so much heat and so much sexy time. Leo and Jasmine such a perfect match. These two together burn up the pages of your kindle and like all of these ladies books you are left with a smile on your face. I cannot get enough of these two and I look forward to so much more from them.
Omg what a perfect ending to a great series. We get the story of Jasmine and Leo in this final book. The attraction is instant with these two. I love how we felt as if we were on a seesaw of emotions in this book. It could range from happy to sad to angry. Ultimately you were left with all the feels. I loved how we kind of saw pervious characters stories end. While I will miss Harpers Crossing I’m glad I’m able to reread and fall in love all over again. Great job! 5 stars all the way!!!!
I absolutely love this book. Jasmine and Leo were wonderful together. Jasmine and Leo sre both strong, independent people and I’m glad they figured out they are so much better together. What a fabulous story
Just One Touch!
This is the final book in the Crossroads series. And it’s another roller coaster ride of emotions through the love journey of Jasmine and Leo. When Jasmin finds out she’s pregnant with her boyfriend Corbin, she happily goes to tell him, only to discover he’s been cheating on her! She dumps him (even though it seems he’s already moved in with his next conquest). She’s surprised when she meets Leo, Doc’s grandson, and they experience an immediate chemistry. She’s reluctant to carry on a relationship with Leo, but he gives her the space she needs while reassuring her, he’s there for her when she’s ready.
I enjoyed watching this relationship develop while catching up on relationships from previous books.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
Just One Touch, Jasmine and Leo’s story, was the perfect way to end the Crossroads series; which has been a wonderful and enjoyable series. Former foster child Jasmine is an amazing woman; strong, independent and resilient. No matter what’s thrown at her, she relies on these strengths to get her through any crisis. Not only was Jasmine surprised to learn she’s pregnant, but the same day discovers the man she had agreed to marry only a few days before is cheating on her. After his grandfather suffers a stroke, Leo returned to Harper’s Crossing to help run his veterinary practice and make sure his grandparents were settled and doing okay. He believes this return is going to be temporary as he plans to head back overseas, and return to working with his non-profit. However, one look at a photo on the bulletin board at the vet’s office has Leo intrigued before he even meets the woman behind the image. Jasmine and Leo’s meet cute is eventful and from this point it is apparent they have a connection, but both of them do their best to avoid their feelings; for different reasons. Instead, they begin a friendship that allows Leo to be sweet, romantic, and supportive of Jasmine as she deals with the after effects from breaking up her ex. Jasmine’s ex is a total tool and never deserved her to begin with. Jasmine and Leo have an attraction which has them to constantly thinking of each other. Their chemistry is off the charts, sparking enough to operate the vet practice. After years in the foster care system, moving from home to home, and feeling like an outsider, Jasmine thinks Leo is lying when he compliments her or tries to convince her of his feelings. She might push Leo away while still harboring feelings for him yet it will take her time without him before she can consider making a life with him and her baby.
I loved this book and both Leo and Jasmine. I loved how Jasmine and Leo fit together and complemented each other in all the right ways; like puzzle pieces, or yin to yang. I was so glad to be able to catch up with many other residences of Harper’s Crossing. I’m going to miss this charming town, but it was so nice to spend time with its inhabitants and read their stories.
Melanie Shawn wrote a wonderful, emotional, and moving romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, and endearing characters giving Jasmine and Leo a chance at a forever love. I highly recommend Just One Touch to other readers as we say goodbye to this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Another great edition to the series. Sad this is the last one in the series. Leo the lion tamer and Jasmine (vet tech/vet student). Leo returns home to help out his grandparents after health issues. Jasmine has a 5 year plan until the day she finds out startling news times two. Leo is only in town temporarily but that all changes when he meets Jasmine.
You definitely get taken on a emotional journey as Jasmine and Leo find their Happily ever after. Jasmine struggles with being raised in foster homes and feeling like she is unworthy of being love, Leo never gives up on Jasmine and does everything he can to convince her how he feels about her and her unborn baby. I think this is probably one of the best stories from this series. Melanie Shawn did a fantastic job on the final story in such an amazing series.
We will definitely miss the Colonel and all the other characters in this series.
This is one of my FAVORITE series of all times and Leo and Jasmine are a wonderful addition!
Sweet and romantic end to a wonderful series. Somehow this is both a romance about second chances, a surprise baby and a romantic story of two people who instantly have a connection. For me, this was a perfect read in stressful times where everything is a bit strange. At least I can always trust Melanie Shawn to create a beautiful escape.
This was a great book to end this amazing series with. I have always loved Jasmine ‘Jazzy’ but to add Leo ‘the lion tamer’ into the picture, yes please! The situation with Corbin made me furious and I definitely would have given him a piece of my mind for everything he put Jasmine through, but he’ll get what’s coming to him. Enough about him, back to our amazing Harper’s crossing friends. My favorite part, other than watching Jasmine and Leo and seeing what was going to happen there, was the oh so awesome Nan coming to make sure Jazzy is ok and of course it would not be a Crossroads book without our loveable Colonel. I laughed and cried a lot for the misunderstanding and of course for the end of not only this great book but this amazing series. I also loved that the Colonel gave Leo one of his ‘legendary life talks’, so awesome. This book ended perfectly for Leo and Jasmine and of course their friends and family were right there with them. A big thank you to Melanie Shawn for The Crossroads series and of course our favorite town, Harper’s Crossing. My First was how I started my love affair with your books and have been with you all along the way to this final story. I will miss our friends who have become family and of course The Colonel. A perfect ending and goodbye to Crossroads!
Just One Touch was a wonderful end to the series. Each story has given readers a new couple to fall in love with. Leo has been working overseas for years but when his grandfather needs him, he comes home. Now he’s helping run the veterinary business & is trying to get it in shape to run itself when he heads back overseas. Then he sees her picture on the wall & thinks everything has changed.
Jasmine grew up in foster care & has always been searching for a family of her own or somewhere she belongs. She’s engaged & finally has someone of her own. After finding out some wonderful but surprising news, she rushed home to tell Corbin & found him cheating with another woman. Now what was she supposed to do?? Back at work but stressed out, she started feeling ill & ended up getting sick over the new boss’s scrubs. What a way to meet Leo!
I really felt bad for Jasmine. Her life hadn’t been easy & other than her final foster mother, Nan, it had t given her very much happiness. Now she thought she finally was happy & had her family when this happened. The attraction between Leo & Jasmine was apparent on his side from the beginning & the readers were able to watch Jasmine fall in love. She learned to trust herself, Leo & her emotions. This was another wonderfully emotional story & I can’t wait to see what the authors think of next!
What a wonderful ending to the Crossroad series! I adored Leo and Jasmine’s story from beginning to end. I wanted to punch Corbin in the face. It’s been a while since I hated a character so thoroughly. You get updates to all your favorite Crossroads couples. It was just perfect all around.
I feel a little emotional that this is the final book in the Crossroads series. It was an absolutely fantastic way to end the series.
I have loved the whole journey through Harpers Crossing and am not disappointed by this final book. It is well written and such a great story. It is a book I did not want to put down.
This is the series that got me hooked and obsessed with Melanie Shawn. It is one I ill definitely be re reading.
This book definitely holds its own in the drama and feels. I found myself a little teary in some parts but smiling big in others. Overall is simply great.
So sad this series is ending! Jasmine has always wanted a family after the childhood she had in foster care, and she thought it would be with her longtime boyfriend Corbin. But fate has a way of changing things in life, and that’s the case for Jasmine. Finding out she’s pregnant, she goes to tell Corbin only to find him cheating on her. Knowing what she has to do, for herself and her child, she breaks up with Corbin (not that he cared since he moved on with his mistress) and in the midst of digesting all this information meets Leo, Doc’s infamous grandson. Sparks instantly fly even with the off-the-wall first meeting the pair have, and with the chemistry being crazy between them they finally decide to give in. But when Jasmine makes assumptions and retreats into herself with the excuse of her child, Leo gives her the time she needs while also making sure she knows he’s in for the long haul with her after realizing his true feelings. I swear the entire book I wanted to junk punch Corbin SO BAD and constantly loved and praised the relationship between Jasmine and Leo (except when she makes rash decisions). It was such a great ending to this series and rounded out all the characters, as we still were able to catch up with some and their storylines throughout this one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Just One Touch was a great way to send out the Crossroads series. It’s a bit bittersweet because this has been such a fantastic series, but I’m so happy we’ve gone out on such a high note, as this was awesome!
Jasmine Bell is a strong, independent, resilient woman and when she’s thrown not one, but two curve balls in one morning, she knows she’s got to rely on all of those character traits to get her through. Not only has she found out she’s expecting, but she discovers the man she had agreed to marry only a few days before is cheating on her.
Leo Taylor has returned to Harper’s Crossing to run his grandfather’s vet practice following his stroke. His return is meant to be temporary as he plans to head back overseas to go back to working with his non-profit. One look at a photo on the bulletin board at the vet’s office has Leo intrigued before he even meets the woman behind the image.
Jasmine and Leo have an eventful first meeting and it’s clear they have a connection immediately, but both of them do their best to push the feelings away for different reasons. Even so, they begin a friendship that has Leo being sweet and supportive to Jasmine as she deals with the fallout of ending her relationship and all that entails. Will these two figure out a way to make things work when it’s clear they are whats best for one another?
I loved this book and both Leo and Jasmine. I loved how they just fit together and really seemed to complement each other in all the right ways. I also loved catching up with other member’s of Harper’s Crossing. I’m going to miss this quaint town, but I’m so glad I got to spend so much time with it’s residents!
such a great story.
the story moved pretty fast. Jasmine gets a bunch dumped on her at once and Leo is in the right or wrong spot at the perfect/imperfect time. Things advance from there.
I loved the chemistry of these two and couldn’t put the book down.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the authors as part of their review team.
I recently purchased all of the books in this series because they were on sale, I never dreamt that I would be offered an ARC of the final book I read this one before I got a chance to read any of the other ones, and I can only hope that the other ones are as good as this one was.
I absolutely loved this book!!! I couldn’t put it down, and I feel that this was one of the more realistic books that I’ve read in a long time. Leo truly is a saint!!!
I know they aren’t real, but best wishes to these fictional characters!
