I should have known this would happen…Nothing about my fraternity was ever simple. Parties, tequila – tons of tequila – and wild souvenirs from our kind of crazy.Never, and I do mean never, did I expect my brother’s girl to target me in a midnight prank. A prank that backfired and left me squealing in pain.Have you ever seen those shows, the ones that say the “dirty deed” sent you to the ER? … deed” sent you to the ER? Well, I went to the ER, and yes, my manhood was involved. Let me just say I gained absolutely no pleasure from it. Unless, of course, you consider that sweet nurse who treated me.
The problem? She hated me…and I had no idea why, but I wasn’t willing to let her walk away until I figured it out.
Emelie was feisty, and I’d never felt the type of excitement I did after spending only five seconds in her line of fire. I was gonna enjoy this…way more than I should, and I knew it.
She saw, she conquered, and I was defeated.
All it took was just one touch, and oh, what a ride it was.

3 ½ Stars! Book three in the Oh Tequila series. Full length told in dual POV with HEA. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone with secondary characters the same throughout the series. College-age series takes place around frat brothers and their pranks. Emilie & Clayton have a class together, but she thinks he is just like all frat boys. Overall a sweet quick read!
Another great book from C.A Harms. I absolutely love the books in this series. This one I would have to say is my favorite so far. Emelie is a single mom just trying to get through school and survive. She has an issue with frat boys because of her past. But will one of them change all that for her? Loved Emelie and Clayton together. A great couple with great chemistry. I loved this story line. It was well written and amazing from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read the next one. Highly recommend reading this one . Guarantee you will enjoy reading about Emelie and Corbin.
4 out of 5 stars
I have really enjoyed watching the frat brothers in this series get wrapped up in girls and find themselves to be new men…though I don’t think Clayton really had to become a new man, he just found a new focus!
Emelie has a crazy life – job, 2nd job, school, apartment to pay for…and a toddler son (Ethan) to take care of. Clayton is living the college life – pretty easy going and party centered, but after his encounter with Emile at the ER, he can’t get her out of his head and he’s determined to make her his.
I loved how much Clayton loved Emilie and Ethan from the very beginning. I loved how Emilie’s best friend Palmer was so pushy in getting them together. The flow and pace was done well and I never felt like anything was missing. The drama was handled well and didn’t overtake the story. I felt the story was really centered around their love from beginning to end!
I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end and only hope that we’ll see more of them in the future books in this series!
*** I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book that was unedited so my honest review does not account for editing errors ***
I feel so bad for Emelie that when she needed them the most, her parents failed her in the worst way possible. They should have been publicly shamed.
Clay gets serious props for growing up and becoming what Emelie and Ethan need. I mean, serious awwwwwww moments. I love how the frat adopts Ethan in the same way they did with Toby.
This book is a great read. It will tug at your heartstrings one minute then have you laughing the next.
Just One Touch by CA Harms was the 3rd book in the Oh Tequila Series. Just one touch was a sweet and cute summer read. Mixed with the brand of humor, and highly entertaining to say the least. I absolutely love every one of C.A. harms books they capture your attention from start to end. Just One Touch was the story of fraternity brother Clayton. Clayton ended up in the ER with his hands super glued to his body from a prank. Emelie is the ER nurse on duty, and even though Clayton has been trying to charm his way into her good graces, she’s can’t stand him.He does his best, and when he finds out why she hates frat boys, he’s still not running. I absolutely loved every minute of this read, and could not put it down. It was one of those books you wanted to know what happens next. This is definitely a must read.
What a sweet story. This story has a bit of insta-love in it and that is not usually my kind of read. But this book is just so sweet, that I can handle the insta-love.
Clayton and Emelie don’t start out on the right foot. Emelie automatically dismisses Clayton because she believes he is a player. He is a frat-boy and she believes they are all the same.
Clayton is attracted to Emelie from the moment he sees her. When she dismisses him, he takes that as a challenge.
Clayton doesn’t give up on Emelie and when a run in happens at the laundry mat, everything changes.
Emelie has secrets. Emelie has trust issues. Emelie has a hard life.
Clayton wants to do whatever he can for Emelie but he know she won’t take the help without a fight.
Mainly, Clayton wants to love Emelie and he hopes she will love him back.
But can Emelie love someone after everything she has been through? How can she trust someone when everyone else in her life, besides her best-friend, has let her down?
This is a really sweet story. Clayton and Emelie’s story make my heart smile. I usually read books that are darker but this is just the kind of read I needed this weekend.
Favorite Quotes:
Corbin and I grew up in a town called Morehead, Kentucky. My parents were older before they’d decided to start a family, and they said after they had us, they knew they were done.
I’m not even sure if you’d call us friends. More like we were stuck in the same car for eleven hours and I had to count to ten a whole bunch of times and remember that I’m not the prison type.
My Review:
I have relished every cleverly amusing installment of this series. CA Harms has a wicked sense of humor and I adore her brand of sassy levity, spirited banter, and naughty hijinks. The storylines were sweet, heart squeezing, and relevant while the characters were endearing and adorable. I needed a fun read and this quick and engaging read was more than timely.
