Quirkies, I know you’ll agree with me when I say it’s REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to pick a favorite Kristan Higgins book, but I’m going to rec one of her early ones as a go-to reread for me.
I adore this book. The heroine is so close to my heart that I just want to reach into the pages and hug her sometimes. And the hero…. I love him. I can see …
“Out of all of her novels, “Just One of the Guys” by Kristan Higgins is by far one of her best!! This great romantic comedy, just made it so I couldn’t put it down. Especially with lines like…”

A fun Kristan Higgins standalone that follows a tall, physically strong woman with some “on again, off again” romance going on while she tries to claim her feminine power in a family of men. Being “just one of the guys” myself, I fully appreciated her character. So much more to this story than the title suggests though. A side story involving the …
Chastity O’Neill has returned to her home town and is ready to settle down. She has had problems in her search for the One- she is 5 feet 11 inches tall and has 4 older brothers. There is also her unrequited love for one Trevor Meade. When she starts writing a series of articles for her newspaper on local heroes, she meets Dr. Ryan Darling, …
I really enjoyed this one, to a point, but overall it was spectacular. It had me laughing out loud in spots, as this author can get me to do, and cursing the players in the next moment. Chastity O’Neil has moved back home and taken a job at the local newspaper and as the only girl in a family of fire fighter men she wants nothing more than find …
Have loved each and every one of her books.
I really enjoyed this book and it gave me several laugh-out-loud moments. I found the main character to be quite entertaining and amusing.
One of my favorite authors – love all of her books.
As usual, Ms. Higgins does a wonderful job with tender humor on making her characters come alive. I recommend this book and any others of hers.
Absolutely loved this book! Laughed out loud several times.
Timeless read
I love anything by Kristin Higgins…read this in paperback long before I had a Kindle. Particularly enjoy the witty dialog…the kind of humor that sometimes makes you laugh out loud and just have to share a passage, or two!
I love all of Kristan Higgins books. This was one of the cutest ones.
I LOVE all of her books. Have not found one that I wouldn’t read again. Still have the new one to go. Makes me laugh & be sad & happy. Real characters that are not perfect and go through angst but come out happy in the end.
The first KH book I read, and still one of my faves. Because…meatloaf. LOL If you love witty heroines who are strong in their own right (even if they’re not sure that’s the case) and surrounded by an amazing cast of characters, you’ll love JUST ONE OF THE GUYS.
Cute premise. Then just becomes a bunch of silly situations, immature people all laden with stereotypes and an obvious outcome. Add not great narration and qas a bust for me. Surprised as I normally adore this author and like the mental getaway.
I didn’t like this scenario or these characters as much as in most of her stories.
I really enjoyed the story line but I wish the main female character had acted a little more feminine
Not a normal Kristin Higgins type book. Boring to read.
