STANDALONE Contemporary RomanceHailey Sullivan. The girl next door. My best friend. We met when we were three, and have been inseparable most of our lives that is until I fell in love with her. I knew I had to bury my feelings; our friendship was more important. I was willing to love her from afar, and was doing just that until tragedy struck. It’s funny how one moment can change everything. All … moment can change everything. All the things I thought I’d never have become possibilities, and all my reasons for staying away from her seem inconsequential. Sometimes all we need is one more day; one more hour; one more moment. Just one more was all I wanted, and I’d prove that Hailey and I were more than just best friends.
This book is intended for readers over 17. It contains profanity and graphic sexual situations.

This story pulled at my heart. It was a friends to lovers story with some heartbreak in the middle. I loved how Max stepped up to the plate with Hailey’s world fell apart. Tears were in my eyes. I recommend this story.

What time of year is it in school that we meet her? What gift is Hailey given as she heads off to the summer program at her chosen college? I cried when I read about the gift! Who is Jared? When Hailey goes home for Christmas, things turn funny. What happens with Melody? My heart broke for Max at the pool hall. Read and see what I mean with the good times and the bad!

Just One More is the first book by Heather D’Agostino that I have read, and found it pleasure to read. Following Hailey and Max’s story from when they were kids, all the way to adults. I loved reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
All the feels with this standard romance storyline! Hailey and Max grew up as neighbors and best of friends. But as they grew older, their friendship developed into more, without the other knowing it. With feelings kept at bay and a secret, Hailey moved on, with one of Max’s friends, and it’s too much for Max to handle and causes him to move away and barely return. When tragedy strikes for Hailey though, Max is the first one to drop everything and come back to help her as well as rebuild and repair their friendship. As time goes on and the healing process starts, Max realizes that this is the only shot he will have and decides to put his feelings out there and on the line. Per usual, this storyline comes with a HEA that is much needed in this for both the main characters. I’ve read a few of Heather’s books in the past and really enjoyed them, so no surprise as to why I liked this one being a fan of her writing. Here’s to hoping we get a spinoff book for Max’s brother Micah, after his playboy dating ways!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
By far one of the best books I have read by Heather D’Agostino. Love and Friendship spans the years with this couple but they never ventured past the friend zone with each other. How could they when they treasured their friendship first and foremost in their lives. Life and maturity pulls these two apart taking Max and Hailey down separate roads, never really far from each other but just far enough. Tragedy strikes Hailey and Max must return home to support his best friend. Now that time has brought them full circle can they finally share what they have been hiding for years? Only time and patience will reveal what they have known for years. Brilliant, captivating, one of my top ten 2019 reads!

Best friends since the age of 8 these two have been through almost everything together. However they both secretly want more than friendship but neither act on it. Fast forward several years and events that shatter their souls occur. Can they come out together on the other side?
I loved this story! Their journey to a HEA was hard fought for and long coming. It was an emotional rollercoaster and a tear jerker so have tissue handy!!!
Just One More by Heather D’Agostino. Max and Hailey have been best friends and neighbors since they can remember. Max has had a thing for Hailey since they were kids. He never acted on it. He would rather not chance losing their friendship, so he steps back. Hailey too has feelings for Max but when she gets the courage to let him know it, circumstances changes her mind. Each have grown up and now have the their own life. A tragedy happens to Hailey and it has bought Max back home and into Hailey’s life. We see if they can find what they have always felt for each other. I truly enjoy the way this author tells her story. I enjoy the journey she takes me on as I read Max and Hailey’s story. It is not about the sex but about eventually finding true love while dealing with what life has to throw at you. I was not disappointed. 4.5 stars
This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Hailey and Max have been best friends forever, and when their feeling develop into something more, they are reluctant to express them to each other for fear of ruining their friendship. Through the years they drift apart, but when tragedy strikes, Max steps up to the plate, and is there for Hailey. Can these two move from friends / lovers? This is a well written story which is filled with angst, fun and love which all leads to an emotional and humorous story which had me enthralled throughout. I recommend for all readers.
Just One More was a quick read. The story sucked me right in and I read it in one sitting. In it we get a little bit of the past and present but it moves seamlessly with no confusion. This one a second chance romance that pulled at my heart strings. Hailey and Max grew up as best friends. As teens they both had feeling for each other but never told the other. Life took them in different directions and they lost touch. When Hailey is at a really bad point in life Max comes back to help. Max is sweet and nice. Their friendship is still strong even though everything they have been through but then more then friendship develops. My heart went out to both Hailey and Max. Their is a beautiful story.
