Just My Type is the third in Erin Nicholas’s Just Everyday Heroes: Day Shift series (formerly known as the Bradfords). It is excellent on all fronts.
Sara Bradford is the baby sister of the Bradford family, and she’s taken it as her due and responsibility to be the protected, cared for “princess”. Her siblings and their friends all take it upon themselves to make sure she wants for nothing. Mac Gordon is one of those friends, and he’s watched over Sara for years. And he’s realized that while some of his feelings are far from brotherly, he’s committed to never acting on those. So he’ll give her endless rides home, going out of his way to pick up that ice cream she loves, but he won’t be giving her a goodnight kiss.
On the other hand, Sara wants that kiss more than anything. She knows Mac’s sweet, considerate side, and she’s heard all about his raunchier one–she wants a piece of that 😉 She wants Mac to look at her and realize that she is all grown up and she’s exactly who he needs.
Ms Nicholas does an amazing job with these two, with a fun, sweet, hot story about really seeing those around us and loving who they are as well as giving them space to be the one you love.
Can’t wait for more in this series!
Just My Type is book 3 of Just Everyday Heroes: Day Shift…wow just wow!!
This book is about Mac Gordon, alpha paramedic and his best friend’s younger baby sister, Sara Bradford. He thinks he’s to old, set in his ways and into some kinky stuff plus Sara is much to young for him. Sara has been apart of Mac’s life since she was 15 and is determined to show Mac that she is what he needs…so she tells Mac that she wants to explore her kinky side with or without him..his choice.
What will Mac choose…let Sara explore with someone else or with him???
I’ve so enjoyed this series. This is the final Bradford, Sara the “princess”, a protected little sister that lost her parent at 11 and was raised by the big sister Jessica. Her brother Sam has a group of friends who have watched over Sara and have all become her big brothers. The exception is Mac. He has always been the special one and as she’s grown her feelings for him have become deeper and mature. She wants his romantic love and decides it’s time to “go for it”. Mac also is deeply attracted to Sara but she’s his BFF’s little sister and definitely “off limits” to his very adventurous sexual appetites. That’s the set up and the adventure begins when Sara’s been told a definite NO from Mac. She takes off on a caribbean vacation without telling anyone and disappears in a fit of independence. Mac finds out where she is and takes off to drag her home and keep her safe. Nothing like an island romance. This was just fun to read, Mac tied up in knots, Sara worming her way into his heart and both of them growing through their insecurities. Just loved it. Thank you Erin for allowing me to be part of your re-release review team. It’s been a pleasure.
Sara was determined that Mac was the man for her. It didn’t matter what he said or wanted, she was pursuing him. Mac has intensely attracted to Sara but wasn’t sure he was right for her. She was so gentle & sweet & deserved someone that treated her like a princess. He liked his sex rough & tough & varied. He didn’t think he’d ever settle down with one girl. Who is going to win?
Sara & Mac both ended up doing a lot of growing up during this story. Sara realized that she couldn’t always have everything she wanted. She also needed to stand up for herself & stop everyone from doing everything for her. Mac needed to stop taking Sara at face value & start listening to what she wanted. He needed to allow her to grow up. I enjoyed the dynamics & the interactions among all of the characters. It added another dimension to the story.
This story was about Sara and Mac, Sara is the younger sister of Jessica and Sam. Sara has been in love with Mac for years but Mac avoids flirting with her because she is younger than him and also because Sam is his best friend. But Mac is in love with Sara but just denies it to himself and everyone else. Sara is quite the Princess (her nickname) and everyone takes care of her. It was nice when she left the “nest” and got away from her family and started doing stuff on her own and for herself. Even though she was with Mac he left her alone enough that she ventured out and made her own friends and she started to believe in herself and feel good about it. Even though this book was a romance between Mac and Sara (and it was hot when they finally got together) I actually thought the book was more about Sara growing up and becoming her own person outside her brother and sister. And I must say I really enjoyed her story.
Sexy sweet, emotional, fun, engaging friends to so much more romantic journey with a overprotective big brother and sister combo twist…..
Sara Bradford is sweet, sheltered and everyone’s favorite little sister (pampered princess) She is also determined to finally start taking her life into her own two hands and living it her way…. Mac is the man she has loved from a far for so many years and her brothers older best friend. He is sexy, charming, protective and always there for her no mater what… highly enjoyed these two finally seeing each other for who they really are and discovering everything together.
Wow. Mac and Sara were scorching hot! And they didn’t actually have sex until towards the end of the book. Talk about some crazy hot chemistry. It was inevitable that they ended up together but Mac was so stubborn. But I really liked how they both needed to grow personally, how Mac really started to listen to Sara and how she finally started to realize what type of woman she wanted to be. Dooley really gave some good advice in this story. I’m so glad I get to read him next. And that little bit towards the end of the book, when you think they aren’t going to find their HEA…it was hilarious. Such a fun story. I really love this series so far. It’s sexy and yet still so much fun to read. These couples are just too adorable.
I was sooo looking forward to reading the story of Mac and Sara – now that it’s over I have no words to describe how I feel. I was hoping for a sweet romance but Mac seemed like such a butt. Sara impressed me with her resilience and adaptability to Oscar. I’m glad Sam came around to the idea of Sara and Mac as a couple. He seemed to push Ben towards his sister Jessica but heaven forbid anyone be interested in Sara.
Sara and Mac’s story is the third book in the Just Everyday Heroes: Day Shift series and is a delightful story in so many ways. Sara is the youngest sibling of Jessica and Sam, and between her siblings and their friends she’s never had to do anything for herself. At first glance she seems to be overly protected, spoiled, perhaps a bit of a snob and definitely high maintenance. It’s quite possible no one has ever told her “no” and she’s learned to use that to her advantage. Her brother’s coworker and best friend, Mac, has been part of her life since she was fifteen years old, and she’s ready for him to stop viewing her as a child and see the woman she has become.
Okay, y’all, this one is a doozie. We’ve got an older man/younger woman and brother’s best friend trope combined to make an unpredictable, entertaining read. Sara and Mac just may be the two main characters in this series who do the most growing and changing and it makes for a fascinating, endearing read. There’s a lot more to Sara than a first glance reveals, and more to her than even Sara knows, and it was thrilling seeing her come into her own. And Mac. Bless his heart with his “can’t teach an old dog a new trick” mentality. Although I wanted to shake him a time or ten, it was great fun watching him fall as he struggled with himself to let go of old, no longer valid ideals and became a man worthy of Sara. With lots of humor, tenderness and a low boil romance, this must-read is loads of endearing, heartwarming, enchanting fun!
Ooh la la!!! I have been patiently waiting to read this book!!! Mac and Sara’s chemistry if off the charts. Who wouldn’t want to be with Mac? He is HOT!!! He has everything going for him and when he lets himself be himself he is simply unbelievable!!! I loved this book so very much!!!
Wow! Just when I believed this series couldn’t get any better Erin Nicholas proves me wrong. Erin Nicholas is an exceptional writer. She really knows what her readers want and never ceases to amaze them. She is a rare gem. She always wraps her books around your heart and tug at. She always goes above and beyond in her books. I love that about her.
In Just My Type we get Sara Bradford and Mac Gordon’s story. Mac is older than Sara and more importantly Sam Bradford’s best friend. He has watched Sara grow up. Sara is in love with Mac. Mac is very attracted to Sara but knows Sam will kill him if he even touches her. From the first page of chapter one you can see and feel the chemistry.
I really enjoyed Just My Type. I loved watching Sara grow into her own person. I loved watching her struggle to find herself. I even loved how Mac dealt with this. I did want to slap him upside his head a few times and found myself screaming “You idiot” a few times but I loved it. I laughed and cried and felt real heart swooning moments. I have become invested in this series and feel as if I am a part of their lives. I really related to their struggles and my heart went out to Mac. Here is this tough as nails guy who is a marshmellow on the inside for Sara. Mac and Sara had a lot of obstacles to overcome however I enjoyed watching them face each one and accomplish it. Just My Type had me going OMG Wow!!! I just couldn’t get enough of this book. Grab your copy and see why I love Erin Nicholas and Just My Type.
Just great! Fun! Steamy! Emotional! Surprising! Funny! Did I say steamy?! Good plot development with twists and surprises. Nicholas is great at character development showing depth in the characters while allowing them to grow. Keeping it fun and steamy! Enjoyed so much!
I love this series and this may be my favorite (and that says a lot about this book because I really loved the other two!).
This is “Best Friend’s Little Sister” at its best. Mac has known Sara for years. He is a lot older and much more experienced than her. And her brother’s best friend. He has always taken care of her….but he also looks at her as much more than a little sister. Sara has loved Mac forever. Now she needs to get his attention and show that she is not just Sam’s little sister but a woman ready for love.
I loved these two!! Both had so much to learn about the other and themselves. I loved watching Sara become the person she wanted to be and not the princess everyone expected her to to be. And Mac! What’s not to love about Mac? I can’t wait to read the next in this series!!
