“This is hands down one of the BEST BOOKS OF 2019! The romance is powerful, so beautiful and hopeful.” Angie & Jessica’s Dreamy Reads There’s two sides to every love story. The how you fell in love, and the how you fell apart. This is ours. The cardinal rule of friendship is you don’t mess with your friend’s sister. That goes double when she’s his little sister. It was just supposed to be … sister.
It was just supposed to be fun. She wasn’t supposed to end up being the love of my life. And I definitely wasn’t supposed to break her heart.
Ainsley is a wedding dress designer. That should’ve been a warning that she’s a hopeless romantic. That should’ve clued me in that she believes love conquers all.
But there are some things that love can’t fix. I’m one of them.
She thinks love is the answer.
But love is the reason I let her go.

This book was absolutely amazing in all ways possible and so wonderfully put together. With a story that takes you on a journey, I would never have guessed in a million years. Emotions and feeling poured from each and every page to make this one of my favourite books this year.
This is Rhett and Ainsley’s story, and I adored both of these charismatic, addictive characters. Rhett is the boy next door who has a really good solid relationship with his best friend who happens to have a little sister who he has feelings for but he knows he has no right to do so. Best friend’s sisters are out of bounds; his head knows this but try telling that to his heart. I loved Rhett he is reliable, lovable, cheeky, a typical single lad who loves the ladies, that is until Ainsley.
Ainsley is a fun girl, a romantic at heart and at times feisty but so adorable with it, she thinks she knows where her life is going until tragedy strikes when she least expects it. Lives are changed, people devastated, their whole world is turned upside down.
I honestly couldn’t put this book down, the emotions and feelings that this story bought out in me were totally unexpected. Love poured from the pages of this book, but so did sadness and loss; while many tears poured from me. I didn’t want it to end, I was in love with the story, the characters and their lives, the highs and the lows and I was with them every step of the way.
I cannot recommend this book enough, the word perfection comes to mind it was THAT good.
JUST look at this cover! One of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen and fits the story in every single way! I need this paperback on my shelf!
The story is JUST as beautiful as the cover (I’m doing this on purpose… but it’s true!).
This was my first Prescott Lane book and I loved her writing; Rhett and Ainsley’s story is beautiful and heartbreaking in a way I wasn’t expecting at all!
Told in a double POV, between the past and the present, we are presented with a beautiful love story. Everything they go through throughout the years are rough. And tragic. But you can’t deny the love they feel for each other!
I loved Sadie and even cried, the flowers made me smile and cry too… but I won’t say more. Get this book and read it. You will love it as much as I did!
In my opinion this book has a lot of wise words, read and interpret them wisely and you’ll see the true meaning of love!

Just Love se resume a algumas classificações? Coloco uns rótulos e acabou?
Não. Just Love vai muito além. A amizade, a preocupação, a confiança, a esperança.
Boa leitura.

Prescott Lane, wherever you are, I am your fan! It is the first book I read from the author and I am sure it won’t be the last.
Just Love is a contemporary romance and fit in the best friend’s sister subgenre. Sincerely, I don’t understand the subgenre’s appeal. I won’t reject nor dislike because of that, but it isn’t attractive to me. Now the contemporary romance genre I adore. I can put another subgenre ont he list. Add fiction to the genres list. But then what? Just Love comes down to a few classifications? I put some labels and that’s it?
No. Just Love goes far beyond. Like any and all romance lover, it is obvious I was satisfied with Ainsley and Rhett’s relationship. Prescott Lane knew how to put feelings to paper. But Just Love isn’t only their story. It is also Skye’s, Brody’s and Sadie’s story. It is the whole that makes JL brilliant. The friendship, the care, the trust, the hope. JL is about people helping others in the toughest moments, being strong for them, their support team. About fighting for love and knowing when to move forward.
It was beautiful to follow the story of these five realistic and remarkable characters. There is love, there is drama, even a little bit of mystery. I hope you like as much as did. Good reading.

Rhett has had a thing for his best friends sister Ainsley for a while now, but he knows acting on his attraction would be detrimental to his health, so he tries his best to ignore it. But now that she is moving into the condo below him, he knows he is in serious trouble, there’s bound to be run-ins in the hall, or the occasional visit.
He’ll just have to do his best to avoid her at all costs… which becomes easier said then done when she starts joining him on his nightly walks with his dog. Then one night their nightly walk takes an interesting turn… one where Rhett’s lips land on hers! And that little kiss changes both their lives in ways they never expected…
I don’t think it is possible to walk away from this one without being deeply touched, this beautifully crafted story wrecked my heart and left my emotions in complete disarray. This story struck a personal cord too, enabled me to look at things from a different vantage point I hadn’t before, and helped to me understand things I never really considered before… it was an eyeopening journey. I loved every single second of this one, the emotions intended were felt full-force, the words were completely absorbing, the romance was genuine and sweet, and the were characters unforgettable. I just cannot say enough good things about it… definitely one of my favorite reads this year! You must get your hands on this one, it’s words will take you on a journey you’ll never forget!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Beat book I’ve read so far of 2019! This book was more than words, unique, heartfelt yet heart breaking and just over all amazing! I was so emotionally connected to the characters I can already tell that I will be thinking about them for a long time.
WAY MORE THAN 5
The amount of time this author spends on each book to make sure each part is exactly the way she wants it always makes me even more excited to read it. I know all authors take the time to write and some it just comes faster and others or some are picky or want info to be exact on parts and that to me makes it so completely worth the wait!!!
Ainsley is so heart broken and I can feel it from the beginning. I love the suspense of not knowing what happened and being completely consumed by the book at the end. The back and forth of the past and present status of each of the characters made me feel like I was truly seeing a movie in my head. This beautiful and talented as hell woman does what she does everyday and eve with the pain moves clients to feel HOPE.
Rhett, I have to say I actually loved him from beginning to end. I hated certain situations but I became at peace at a certain place in the book. I can’t wait for you to read about their story. I freaking loved Sadie with all my heart too, she seemed like a badass dog!
When you feel the build up and you can’t hold on anymore just keep hope in your heart. Peace with each situation is the key to get through this book. I had NO idea I could be so invested in a book! This one is filled with so much emotion I couldn’t help but cry. I cried for their pain and happiness. I laughed and I swooned like crazy! On the top of my list for this years top read! Great job Prescott!!! I’m obsessed!!
“How can someone’s absence make them more present than ever?”
Ainsley Rose lost her parents in a fire at fifteen and her home becomes the apartment that her brother Brody shares with his roommate and best friend Rhett in college. A. Rose, as she is called, is raised by three cronies: Rhett, Brody and his girlfriend Skye. They become an unlikely and inseparable kind of family, but which works beautifully. After graduation, Brody and Rhett open a veterinary clinic, and Ainsley’s creative talent takes her away to college.
Years later, she has returned to Charleston and has a dilemma: the growing attraction between her and her brother’s best friend turns into passion and ends up becoming a secret relationship. And if the revelation of this secret were not capable of causing enough trouble, fate still prepares a tragedy that can separate the couple forever.
“If you came back to Charleston for me, it was a mistake. Your A. Rose isn’t here anymore.”
“Then I’ll love the woman that is.”
To love and allow yourself to be loved back. This is what the journey of Rhett and Ainsley sums up. After so much suffering, the reader wonders how and if the couple can find their way back into love.
A beautiful and moving journey full of teachings and reflections. If happiness is a choice, choosing to be brave enough to enjoy the joys and pains that accompany any love story is the only way to find it.
“That was fun.”
“Not just fun,” I whisper, tilting her chin up. “It’s just love.”
4.5 emotional stars!!
WOW, I had to wait a few days after finishing this book as my emotions were all over the place. Once I started this I was hooked and didn’t want to put it down! I had to in the middle after a bomb drop as I had pick my daughter up from camp, but once I was back I was hooked again.
Prescott Lane did an amazing job with this book. I went into it relatively blind as it was a while ago that I read the blurb and my memory isn’t that great but I was blown away from beginning to end.
What I loved was that this book was told from a dual POV and the first half of the book you get a chapter from Ainsley and Rhett’s POV but it flitters between the past and present. You get to see glimpses of their relationship and how they got together leading up to what happened to tear them apart. I honestly didn’t see the reason coming and it was a fantastic OMG moment.
I honestly loved Rhett and Ainsley throughout, their connection was undeniable and explosive. I was cheering them on to get their HEA.
The emotions that seeped through the pages were so raw and real, you felt everything along with them. Their pain, and heartbreak, along with their love really shone through even when they weren’t together.
I’m struggling to write this review as I want to rave about how good it is and what I loved BUT you really need to experience this book yourself.
All in all this was a phenomenal, heartwarming story of true love, of adapting and seeing beyond the surface, to still see beauty regardless.
Just Love is a beautiful but heartbreaking story. Prepare to feel all the feels reading this book.
I’m not going into details because this is one book that should be read without knowing anything so my review will be short and pretty vague.
Ainsley and Rhett are extremely easy to like and relate to. Their story is gut wrenchingly real, it’s so very easy to put yourself in their position, to feel every giddy high and every devastating low, to feel their happiness, their love, the aftermath of what happens when things don’t go to plan. I was fully invested in their story. I felt every emotion while reading this book, it left me feeling drained but their journey was so worth it.
This book is beautifully written. Prescott Lane has a talent of putting her readers through an emotional rollercoaster ride and making them love every second of it. Just Love is a story that starts out as a forbidden love but turns into something so much more than that. This is a truly captivating read and I couldn’t put this book down. A must read for any romance lover.
Ahhhh, just what I’ve come to expect from Prescott Lane!
Just Love is full of hopes and dreams. It’s full of wonderful words, a fabulous story line, and characters so real you’re sure they’ve become your best of friends.
Prescott Lane tells such a wonderful story; the fairytale about to come true right before the bottom falls out and the characters are left devastated and blowing in the wind.
I didn’t even read the blurb before I agreed to the arc. Just seeing that it was by Prescott Lane was enough of a reason for me to read it. I know I shouldn’t be surprised that it was so good…it’s just that it was SO GOOD!
I devoured Just Love. Rhett and Ainsley are absolutley WONDERFULLY well rounded characters, and Sadie.. well, let’s just say she was perfect.
I laughed and cried. Boy did I cry. Thanks for that Prescott Lane… LOL, my kids always give me “that” look when I start sniffing and reaching for the kleenex while reading.
The storyline is top notch. I mean, yes, it’s the basic love story….boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl when he shouldn’t, boy and girl find love and boy messes it up…But it’s not JUST a love story, it’s SO MUCH MORE.
I guarantee you’ll love this story just as much as I did…and every other Prescott Lane read you pick up!
First, the cover is very beautiful. It was full with pinkish tingle of sweet love. Rhett and Ainsley had known each other since they were young. Ainsley, being his bestfriend sister didnt made it easy! She was off-limit and forbidden. What can a heart say when it know what it wants?
Everything had started the the kiss.. then it progressed fast and sweet!
I loved that they were not scared to express about how they feel with each other. The love was instant, sweet and boy off the chart! It has all the the right feelings of being in love and commitment.
‘Just Love’ was a second-chance romance with emotional background. I have felt the desperation and hurt between Rhett and Ainsley. Love is blind and careless in a way. I was very emotional to see how they found the way back to each other.. Lovely a very sweet ending romance
“Love isn’t always a good thing.”
I have to say that the cover of Just Love is one of the most Beautiful cover I have ever seen. I couldn’t stop starring at it . I was intrigued and wanted to read this story desperately, I wanted to know if the cover matched the story. It does look like one of Ainsley’s creation
Well let me tell you that Just Love was a hell of a ride and reminded me why love is not easy, why love hurts but most importantly why love is worth taking a risk.
Love is what this story is all about- the love Brody has for his sister and his best friend, the love Rhett has for his parents, his friend and Ainsley , the love Skye has for them .
Be ready to fall hard for this heart wrenching story that will consume you from the prologue. The chapters from Rhett’s POV made me feel like I was with him feeling his pain, his love and inner conflicts.
Ten beautiful
A must read
“Laughing and kissing. Kissing and laughing. This is how it happens. This is how “just fun” becomes more.”
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Just Love by Prescott Lane is a heartbreakingly beautiful story about when just love isn’t enough.
I was pulled in from the beginning of this story, falling for Rhett and Ainsley characters quickly and fast. When the story takes a tragic turn, I found myself unsure if the two would be able to overcome the obstacles thrown in their way, and if love would indeed be enough.
I could not be happier that I took a chance on this new to me author. Prescott Lane is officially a new favorite of mine!
I have adored Prescott Lane’s stories for a while now and going into this one, I was blown away by the concept and the raw emotions that are felt through this story. My heart ached. I laughed a lot at the banter. But most of all, I could feel the pain that both Ainsley and Rhett were going through. While you want to yell at Rhett for what he did, he was in a dark place. My heart ached for Ainsley because she fought for her love for him every step of the way even if he was pushing her away.
These characters had an amazing build and development through this story. How much Rhett grows and comes to terms with things he could not control. How Ainsley grows a backbone and fights Rhett at times because she does not want to go down that road again. I fell in love with the characters because this wasn’t just a story about falling in love, it was a story about how love is broken and mended through insane circumstances.
Overall, I cannot say enough amazing things about this story. While I struggled a little with the back and forth in the first part between present and past, I found that it added to the depth of the story and why things happened the way they did. It made you feel like you see deeper into why Rhett does what he does. Why Ainsley is so broken. Once I started this book, I could not put it down and I really did not want it to end.
This is story seriously pulled at my heartstrings. Truly amazing Prescott Lane! There is so much raw emotion, love, and heartache poured into these pages. Rhett and Ainsleys love story will draw you in and just when you think this it, this is their HEA BAM a twist is thrown in. I loved every word I read. I felt every emotion these characters were feeling. My heart broke and tears were ahead but in the end you will be left with a heart so full.
JUST LOVE is a romance novel by Prescott Lane. This is the story of Rhett Bennett and Ainsley Rose. He’s her brother’s best friend, business partner and he’s six years older. She is a wedding dress designer and has been just crazy about him since she was 15-years old. This is a deliciously tempting 2nd chance at love romance that will have you rooting for Rhett and Ainsley’s HEA. Without giving anything away, the feels and steam level is just through the roof on this book. The writing is phenomenal and Ms. Lane has written some great characters in this story that will connect with you from start to finish. I enjoyed reading and didn’t want to leave.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
Just Love by Prescott Lane is on my top ten favorites of 2019. There is nothing better than a book that pulls you in from page one with a great plot, brilliant characters then keep the emotions flowing until the last page. Just Love does just that for me.
Ainsley Rose is in love with Rhett Bennett. Rhett is Ainsley’s brother’s best friend. Many consider it taboo to date the sister of your best friend, and Brody Rose is one of them. As Ainsley and Rhett spend more time together, they can’t deny their attraction. To avoid family conflict, they agree to keep the relationship a secret. As you might expect, their plan hits a bumpy road until a happening occurs, which changes so much for all the characters.
With Just Love , Ms. Lane looks at how one event can change the dynamic of a tightly knit group. The love, anger, regret, and reconciliation of friends and relationships change in the blink of an eye.
Brody and Skye are planning their wedding. Ainsley is a wedding dress designer who is beginning to make her mark on the industry. Boyd and Rhett are opening their veterinary practice together. Rhett and Ainsley are seeing one another in a different light. Everything is perfect until it isn’t.
Through a story divided into two parts, the first part switches between past and present and the dual points of view of Rhett and Ainsley. The flashbacks tell how their intimate relationship grew. By the end of part one, the relationships among all the characters change. In part two, the present events continue with alternating points of view. One incident has a ripple effect that touches many people.
I went through a wide gamut of emotions with characters I love. Their love for one another is palpable, their pain hurt my heart.
Just Love is a book that each reader needs to delve into without advance knowledge of the major events. It is the best way to experience the journey’s ups and downs. The group (Brody, Skye, Rhett, and Ainsley) pull together for years to support one another, then they aren’t sure how to continue when their dynamic changes. The characters’ reactions are realistic and well researched.
Every book I’ve read by Prescott Lane is a treasure; Just Love is no exception and well worth the box tissues that you will go through. A must read.
4.5 Stars
A beautifully written story that broke my heart but also healed it leaving me a sobbing wreck inbetween. I took Rhett and Ainsley to my heart from the very first page.
Rhett and Ainsley are made for each other, the problem is she’s his best friends little sister and should be completely out of bound but the chemistry between them is off the charts and not something they can ignore. When a tragic accident tears them apart they both try to move on but can their heart really ever let go of each other or can they fight their way back together.
A very beautiful story that will pull your emotions in all directions, it definitely comes highly recommended by me!
Just magnificent!
Never have I ever read such a unique compelling story that totally captured my emotions, ripped my heart apart, then put it back together in a beautiful package.
This story was unique in that it starts out one way and then the layers of the story start unraveling creating this textured, complex tapestry that keeps getting more and more involved.
It was a thought provoking, and inspirational story of love, friendship and forgiveness.
Superbly written, the story of Rhett and Ainsley was more than an unconventional romance.
Told in dual POV past and present I thought the story was going in one direction and then the author throws a wrench and it’s something else.
As the suspense, the passion, and the build up evolved, I felt like I was suspended at the top of a roller coaster just before it takes the ride down. Only to land feeling the best kind of high!
The chemistry and the dialogue between the main characters was superbly executed. Their humor was sharp and on point. Even the creations Ainsley made were described flawlessly.
A top read for 2019!
OK, first off – the cover is absolutely beautiful! I adore it. I want it with the roses in 3D!
“There’s two sides to every love story. The how you fell in love, and the how you fell apart.”
The novel, itself, was AMAZING!!! The blurb doesn’t give much away so let’s just say that it’s an epic love story!
“Everything I want, I crave, begins and ends with her.”
Rhett Bennett is a veterinarian, so if you love animals, especially dogs, your heart will melt. Ainsley Rose is a wedding dress designer, so if you love romance and beautiful clothes, your heart will melt. Rhett and Ainsley together are sexy and fun and sweet and, yes, your heart will melt. However, get the tissues ready because this novel will take you on a roller-coaster ride of emotion – passion, pain, tenderness, and joy.
“Through all the hurt, all the pain, the love remains. No matter how hard I fight it, the love remains.”
This story is beautiful and heartbreaking and life-affirming. Read it and weep – literally!
