Genevieve Ferguson didn’t know what she was getting herself into when she agreed to fill in for her ailing aunt at the Harrison’s ranch. Seeing as to how this is Aunt Ruthie, though, and you can’t ever outguess the spry, quirky old woman, she should have known better. The smart-mouthed, normally prickly Miss Ferguson gets way more than she’d ever bargained for when she gets sucked into the crazy, … crazy, kooky family madness that is the Harrison men.
Reader Advisory: This story contains foul language, mild violence, menage sex scenes, a quirky gal with a chip on her shoulder and a house full of sexy cowboys. (m/f/m) (no m/m)

Genevieve “Vieve” had a rough childhood, her Aunt Ruthie and cousin Barry, are the only family she claims. Ruthie is like a mom and Barry a brother. At 27, she has has her own house and a thriving graphic design business she runs out of it. Aunt Ruthie is having some health problems and asks Vieve to take over her job as housekeeper and cook for the Harrison brothers, who are ranchers, while she recovers.
She meets the youngest two brothers first. Ephraim “E” is tall dark and handsome, but he is awkward and shy, and tends to put his foot in it when ever he opens his mouth, a real sweet heart. Thatcher is a tall blond and the hottest man Vieve has ever seen, with a loud and dramatic personality. you never know what he will say or do next.
Bowen, the second oldest, is built like a linebacker. The tall, dark and silent type, with an easy sense of humor.
Sawyer is the middle brother, a tall hot blond, built like Bo, and is the peacemaker of the family.
Then there is Reeve. The oldest brother. Tall dark and lean. A total Alpha. A surely personality with a chip on his shoulder and a lot of personal baggage. He wants Vieve gone.
Vieve and Reeve mix like oil and water. When they give in to their attraction, Reeve, tears he apart.
His brothers adore her and they all want her and are willing to share. They grew up in a poly house hold. They have 3 dads that are brothers. Vieve has some misgivings, she loves them equally and can’t see just choosing one. Their crazy parents adore her too.
The fighting for her attention. The bickering, wares on her. Then there is Reeve. She has come between him and his brother and it does’t sit well. Her men aren’t going to let her walk away without a fight.
The more time the spend together the more Reeve tries to make amends. Vieve, let him is once and he tore her apart, she won’t let him do it again. When they find themselves alone together for a week. Reeve takes the time to make things right.
A fast paced and steamy, laugh out loud and tear jerking, reverse harem with great secondary characters . A great epilogue.
Love this book. This was a re read for me. A favorite of mine. A go to book when I need a pick me up.
I love Jeanette Lynn’s books. She always has strong and quirky female characters. Her leading men there is always, a great mix of Alphas, Horn Dogs, Strong and Silent, Sweet Hearts, Peace maker/voice of reason, and the one that always makes you laugh. The supporting characters are interesting and fun. The bad guys/girls, you love to hate always get a perfect send off. The epilogue always makes the HEA complete. Jeanette Lynn books are a automatic buy for me.
First read by this author. Standalone book
Recommended by a friend to read and I’m glad that I did, this is a story about Genevieve and her reverse harem of five cowboys…reeve, Bowen, Ephraim, thatcher and sawyer.
Gennys aunt Ruthie is sick and awaiting an operation, leaving genny to step in as temporary house keeper/cook/cowboy wrangler. Genny is tattooed and pieces and curvy and somehow finds herself on the receiving end of all 5 of the cowboys affections. Turns out auntie Ruthie has been keeping secrets about her operation and her health in general… turns out the cowboys want to keep her forever and share!!
This book was a slow burn for me…it took me a while to get used to gennys constant internal mental meanderings and the interactions between the guys ( which at times were quite funny ) but to start left me wondering what the hell was going on and Factoring in gennys quite ‘over The top reactions’ and a few too many guys it was a bit overwhelming to start.
Also the whole real life reverse harem thing threw me for a loop… I’m ised to reading RH in sci-fi/PNR and fantasy but never set in real life so I found that quite hard to believe at first ( yes I know it’s a made up story…but I like some realism especially if books are set in the real world and yes I know that ployamourous relationships happen in real life but I have NEVER read about one woman and five men!! )
I have to say that I adored Bowen and reeve… they were my kinda guys!
Mostly funny with sparks of real emotion this is a little gem of a book ( the copy I had did have a number of editing issues but that stuff doesn’t really bother me normally )
On the whole an enjoyable read.
I will be looking into more from this author.
