There’s no place like home… wishes they were. And playing house can be a dangerous game.
Rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny and housekeeper. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can’t resist Jenna’s cooking, it’s true. Who knew he’d have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what’s right for his kids. But waiting is so hard…
Note: This romance, like New Zealand, contains a bit of steam. If that isn’t your cuppa, you may want to visit another country… er, book.

This was the second book that I read from James. Jenna seems to be at a crossroads in her life after finding her husband was cheating. She begins a new job as a live in caretaker for two children. It takes a while but the romance builds between her and their father. I loved this book and it made me want to read even more of the books in the Escape …
Beautiful
Jenna was finding herself while staying with her friend Natalie during the 2 year waiting period to file for her divorce when she met little Sophie & Harry. Finn needed a live in Nanny for his kids while he was playing & his usual caretaker took some time off. That is how they met. Her plans were to go back teaching after 6 months.
Great narration (audiobook) of a sweet fun, if not typical single dad and nanny fall for each other tale. Great characters, adorable kids and a absolutely expected and yet sweet happily ever after.
another lovely story by James. Again, set in New Zealand and involving a rugby player, but one doesn’t need to read the prior stories. The character feels real, and the pacing is wonderful.
Loved this story. Loved Jenna and how nicely she fit into the family. Finn was sweet, and swoon worthy. The made a great pair!
I have to say first that this book was not what I was expecting…it was SO much MORE. The story and characters felt real, getting to really know and respect each other. The chemistry was there but held back into an explosive slow burn. I truly enjoyed the story and the emotive writing style.
Boring & terms that were not known. Too much sex.
It ended too soon.
Really liked this book and would like to read more from this author.
All the books in this series were great. Each a stand alone but I enjoyed them all
I enjoyed this book, overall. At times it felt slow and like it skipped ahead without making sense, the end felt really rushed.
Very good book!!
Story was good but she’s from America? Really? I don’t think we will ever count pounds in kilos or call a swim suit a costume!
Interesting to have been exposed to daily life in another country and the author was insightful in the portrayal of the confused emotions incurred during the ending of a relationship. I would have preferred more story and less drawn out, graphic sexual encounters comprising a large portion of the story.
Very slow pace. It was good to learn about New Zeland and rugby, but often the story dragged so much, I fast-forwarded pages and pages. I had trouble relating to the characters or believing their connection. The heroine seemed drafted by the author’s fantasies of becoming a domestic diva. Peripheral characters felt underdeveloped and flat –the …
Sort of different plot…..nice ending
Good story.
Loved reading it
A good mindless read
Got to know more about the world of rugby. Liked the story line.
