Hetta Coffey is a sassy Texan with a snazzy yacht, and she’s not afraid to use it!She’s been visiting France for a couple of months, barging on the Canal du Midi with her boyfriend, Jenks Jenkins She hit the hot spots in the South of France, ate great food, drank fine wine, and foiled a terrorist plot: all the usual stuff. Now, she’s ready to leave for Mexico and back to her yacht in the Sea of … the Sea of Cortez, but not so fast! At the last minute she’s offered a mysterious and lucrative assignment by persons unknown, and jumps at it. After all, Jenks is back at work in Dubai, so why not stay in France a little longer and make some bucks, to boot? Never mind that she doesn’t know where she’ll be working, or for whom.
Ending up aboard a mega-yacht in the Mediterranean—with a surprising crew—she quickly finds herself embroiled in a kidnapping, and up to her neck in bad guys; the problem is, just who are the good guys?

Hetta Hijinks!
Wonderful, as usual 🙂 Jinx Schwartz always delivers!
Loved the twists and turns and always enjoy “seeing” what Hetta and Jan are up to! Loved it that … certain characters from the past showed up again 😀
Great read, this series is highly recommended.
If you haven’t tried a Jinx book yet all I can say is GET YOUR JINX ON! You’ll be glad you did 😀
Love this series
Hetta never says no to making money–no matter what she has to do to get it–and when there is money involved Jan, her best friend and partner in crime is right behind her! This time they also have a third woman helping them out–not to mention Po-thing–Hetta’s Golden Lab dog who lives to eat.
Well Po-thing made the French Society pages because he managed to steal food from a lot of restaurants! Hetta and Co were just deciding that maybe they should head out and go back to Mexico (where the dogs were not allowed to sit at tables with their owners in restaurants-or allowed in restaurants at all for that matter)–when she got a phone call from her boyfriend who told her someone would be coming to offer her a job.
That someone was actually someone Hetta had met and disliked on a prior engagement—-but the money was really good and she even managed to get the same amount for Po-thing. The only real problem was that no one would tell her what was going on–BIG MISTAKE. Snoopery, which Hetta and Jan were noted for came into play in a big way! There were a lot of others that Hetta knew that were involved as well. No one would tell her anything!!
Just when you think the story ends——–nope and you will be flabergasted at what Hatta uncovers!!
Twista and turns and laughs abound as I have come to expect in this marvelous series!!
Jinx Schwartz keeps coming up with the best stories in this Hetta Coffey series. I’ve read them all and am hoping she continues the series.
I love this series of books. Hetta is a truly unique character. I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series so far and #9 did not disappoint.
great series, way out of normal range of lifestyle
ALL HER BOOKS ARE GREAT. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE CHARACTERS IN HER BOOKS. ALWAYS ENTERTAINING.
Have read several of her books with these characters. It’s like going on a mini vacation with a friend and seeing if you can solve the mystery by the end.
Hilarious. I love the two completely improbable main female characters in this series, and also the sociological aspects of expats living in Mexico.
Loved this series!!!
I love Jinx Schwartz’s writing…….this was one her best out of many, many great ones!
Hetta is an original, full of ego yet self-depreciating, realistic but way out there. This time she’s in France, and still manages to bring an American dog to Paris to create chaos, not to mention her friends, her past shady cohorts, and a lot of fun and adventure. Read them all.
Hetta again at her best. A fun read with the twists and turns that give your mind a good workout.
Could not wait for the next book
I have read all the books I could get written by this author. I find it very entertaining and love the characters.
I love every book in this series!
Love this series…can’t wait for more!
Still enjoyed the storyline but not as action packed as the previous books. Did love the return of several of my favorite characters.
Love love Jinx. Highly recommend all of her books.
As usual, this is another hit for this author. I really like her story lines, the vividness of her characters and the settings for her books. Another great read!
