I seduced my brother’s best friend to take my innocence, And he convinced me to fake marry him! Jake Dunne: Sinfully handsome. Naughty . Funny. Piercing Blue eyes. And kisses like nobody’s business… father!
It was supposed to be….well, let’s call it ‘a business arrangement.’
Only six months.
Each of us gets our dreams,
And we call it quits.
There’s just one simple rule – ‘Don’t fall in love.’
Except that I broke the rule.
And while Jake is busy getting the divorce papers ready,
I am staring at the two pink lines on the stick.

Beautiful, sweet, poignant love story. There are sexy scenes but Just Faking is mostly a story about true love and finding everlasting happiness. I recommend it to everyone that likes a great romance.
A delightful story that will satisfy any HEA lover’s sweet tooth. Sweet as a cupcake. I’ll never look at frosting the same way again. I loved the banter between Jake and Sophia. The characters and storyline were well developed. This was my first read by Katy Kaylee and I can’t wait to read another!

Would you Just Fake It to make your dreams come true?
*** 4 1/2 Stars ***
Just Faking It by Katy Kaylee is a really fun and engaging story. What happens when the man you have always dreamed about becomes yours but not in the way you wanted him to? That is the question that Sofia is faced with. On her 21st birthday she finally gets Jake and gives him her V-Card. But she quickly discovers that it did not mean that much to him which results in her heart being broken. He in the mean time goes back to NYC to pursue the law, getting his degree. passing the bar and then working towards becoming a partner in his law firm.
Now 5 years later Sofia has now moved to NYC and works as a pastry chef with dreams of owning her own bakery. With both Sofia and Jake in NYC they encounter each other again and become friendly after talking and Jake apologizing for his behavior 5 years ago. Jake has an situation at work and comes up with a proposal to Sofia for a fake wedding between them. This will help him become a partner at the law firm and he will help her get the bakery she has dreamed of. Nothing can go wrong with this plan at all!!!! As we all know that plans never go the way you want them to and especially when the heart, fake weddings and some steamy sexy times are involved.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Jake and Sofia grew up together in a small town a few hours outside of NYC in very Italian families. Jake was her older brother’s best friend and Sofia crushed on him and gave him her virginity on her 21st birthday. Jake slunk back to NYC mortified he had betrayed his best friend and broke Sofia’s heart.
So 5 years later they meet again and the chemistry is still there. I loved Sofia’s spunk and courage. She was fearless, chasing her dream to own her own bakery. Jake needing to make partner in his law firm to prove his worth to the elderly partners. Sofia was the ticket. He just didn’t know that when he got on that ride with her, he was getting a whole lot more than he bargained for. And, he would never want to get off.
Their relationship was so real, their banter witty, the steam sizzling between them so hot. The Fake Marriage had so many legitimate undertones to it that everyday the facade was flaking and everyone but them could see their love for each other. I felt Sofia’s heartbreak and Jake’s difficulty breathing as the end of their time came. The extra surprise just made everything that much more amazing!
Katy just keeps getting better and better and this is my favorite book by her so far! Definitely one click this baby and get started today!
The story of Sofia and Jake was really lovely! It started with everything going wrong after Sofia seduced Jake to take her virginity, but a few years later they meet again and Jake comes up with the perfect plan for them to fake a marriage to both their benefit. It has to stay a secret because Jake is also Sofias brothers best friend. How it all turns out you have to read to find out, and I do recommend reading this story!

Just Faking It by Katy Kaylee is a best friends sister to fake wife contemporary romance. This book focuses on Jake a New York City lawyer who wants to become a partner in his law firm and Sofia his best friends younger sister who wants to open her own bakery. These two people agree to get married for their mutual benefit but end up falling in forever love. This is a special romance that any contemporary romance reader will love as much as I do. Just Faking It is a wonderfully special love story.
I thought this was a good read. The story offered drama, emotional turmoil, tension, heart and heat. For me the charcters were only OK. I did think they had good chemistry but I just wasn’t feeling either one.
A really good read
On her twenty-first birthday Sofia gave her virginity to Jake, only he didn’t know it and walked away. Five years later they meet at his company party. Wanting to guard her heart, Sophia walks away from him. What she doesn’t know is that, just like her, Jake thinks about that night often.
When his law firm refuses to make him a partner unless he’s married, Jake comes up with the idea of him and Sofia getting married. After all, she needs a place to live and wants her own bakery in the city and he needs a wife. As far as he’s concerned it’s a win-win situation. Now if only they could keep their hearts out of the deal.
Sofia know what she wants on her 21st birthday and she gets it. When she goes to visit(surprise)Jake in New York she gets a taste of real heartbreak when she finds him with a woman. Years later they run into each other and Jake has a proportion that gets them both what they want. Some things come out in the open and we find out if their feelings are really true and if they can have a real marriage after that.

I loved this book. Jake is Sofia’s brother’s best friend who she has crushed on for years, so the night of her 21st birthday she sets out to lose her virginity to him. Jake and Sofia have sex and he leaves feeling guilty for what has happened and goes back to New York. Sofia thinks they have a future, but Jake brushes her off when she shows up at his apartment a few weeks later, realizing she has made a huge mistake she leaves brokenhearted.
Well several years have passed and Sofia has moved to New York and is working at hotel in the bakery in hopes to owning her own bakery one day. Jake is working at his uncles law firm trying to make partner. While attending a party with her friend Gina, Jake and Sofia cross paths. Just so happens Gina and Jake work together. She tries to avoid him, but he is determined to talk to her and is surprised at what a beautiful woman she has become. Jake and Sofia both have set major goals for themselves, him wanting to make partner at the law firm he works at and her wanting to own her own bakery. Jake is talking to Gina at the office one day and she tells him that Sofia is looking for a place to live because her building was sold and she is no longer able to live there. Well this is where the fun begins, Jake makes Sofia a proposition to become his fake wife so that he can impress the other partners in the firm in hopes of becoming a partner himself, in return he will help her own her own bakery. I loved this book. Never say never should have been the title to this book, as we never know what can change our minds to real love. This story is about Jake and Sofia. The intro to the story Sofia is turning 21 and her brother Tony and his best friend Jake are there to help her celebrate. Sofia birthday wish was for Jake to deflower her. Well her wish came true when he took her to the lake to get away as she had Jake go into the lake after her and well one thing led to another. Jake had no clue that she was still a virgin, but after it was done, she was ghosted by Jake and she had no choice but to go look for him in which she found him with another women in his apartment. Time goes by and five years later, Sofia is in NYC working as a pastry chef in a well-known hotel/restaurant and about to be homeless as her apartment building was sold off and the new owner is thinking of making them into expensive condos. Jake is now an attorney and has been trying to get a partner deal. Well his firm is hosting a party and he is expected to attend in order to mingle with the leaders, but who does he come across no other than Sofia. The story kicks off from there as Jake is now interested in helping her but comes up with a plan to help himself as well. Could a person who has handled divorces and doesn’t believe in marriage or commitment ever change? Could he forgive those that were unfaithful that made him believe that a relationship wasn’t really worth it? Could Sofia get everything she always wanted including Jake even though she knows that he does not want marriage or children?

Katy Kaylee hit it out of the park with this one! I loved the premise. I loved the chemistry between Jake and Sofia. I loved the drama. 5 stars!
A fabulous, flawless read…
This great novel ticked all the boxes for me, flawed characters, passion, commitment & determination, charm & humour all rolled into the most amazing sexual chemistry & undeniable love. Well done Katy, you hit this one out the park! LOVED it. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Sofia has had a crush on her brother’s best friend for as long as she can remember so on her twenty first birthday she decides she wants to lose her virginity to Jake. The next day he felt guilty and left leaving her with a broken heart. When they meet again years later the sparks are still there but will they act on them? Just Faking It is a well written fake marriage story with believable characters and a great HEA.
