After surviving foster care and a high school that breeds gang members and drug dealers I’ve finally found my path to freedom: emancipation and a full ride scholarship at the ultra-exclusive Hannaford Prep. All I have to do is survive. After attracting the wrong sort of attention from the richest boy in the country, pissing off the hottest guy in school and being humiliated in front of my favorite … front of my favorite rock idol I am now the target of the most popular, and cruelest, group in the freshman class.
They want my blood.
They can have it.
I’m stronger than any spoilt rich kid.
But can I survive the game the Juniors have started with me as the goal? Now every boy at Hannaford wants to have me.
All except the three I want.
Ash, Harley, and Blaise don’t care about the game, all they care about is destroying me.

Holy. WOW. What did I just read? I absolutely loved this book. I completely sucked into the story and I never want to come out. There are so many secrets and I have no idea how this is going to play out but I can’t wait to find out. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone.
This book is the first of a 4 book series. It is heavy on the bully and light on the romance. There is a lot of world-building in this book, setting up antagonistic relationships, and getting to know Lips, our FMC.
Lips grew up in Mounts Bay, a rough, dangerous town. She’s trying to escape that life and her way out is through…a very expensive and prestigious prep school. Trouble begins from day 1 at Hannaford Prep, when she crosses Harley – a boy she saw in court. Soon, she finds herself on the black list of the Queen Bee, Avery Beaumont, and her gorgeous twin brother, Ash. She’s attracted the unwanted attention of Joey Beaumont, the older brother of the twins. They think they can get her ousted from Hannaford Prep, but they have no idea who she really is.
This book had a lot of bullying and you really are pulling for Lips to stay strong and show these mofos what is up. As you can imagine from a bully romance, the dynamic has to shift at some point, but it is drawn out. The author is playing the long game and the story is so good that it keep you hooked. This book was a very strong foundation for a RH series.
What have I just read?
This book was literally the best! After reading such an emotional and heart wrenching bully book and then to read this one. This was exactly what the doctor ordered.
From the moment that I started this book, I was hooked. I was completely intrigued in the characters and this world that this author that is creating.
There is literally no words to describe this book other then it was literally everything that you would expect to have in a bully romance. The only difference with this one is that it’s a start to a reverse harem relationship.
The heroine Lips was amazing! She’s this badass, fiery and out of this world character. I just love her. She has to be one of the best female leads in a bully romance book that I’ve read and I had read quite a few of these books in this genre.
This is just the beginning of Lips, Ash, Harley and Blaise Story. We only venture into a small inkling of their story and I am completely obsessed that I need to know more.
I’m off to read the next book in this series.
Just Drop Out is nothing short of incredible. J. Bree creates a world that drags you right in and won’t let you go.
Wow!!!!! This was my first read by J. Bree so I was slightly apprehensive to read this book, but WOW!!!! Just Drop Out did NOT disappoint at all!!! It had my emotions on pins and needles and kept me coming back for more! I can’t wait to read book 2!!!!
One of these things is not like the others. This was my thought while I was reading this book. I’ve read a lot of RH books and when I was searching for a new series, I stumbled across Hannaford Prep. I wasn’t prepared for the world I was entering.
“Are you still in a bloodthirsty rage, or have you mellowed enough to talk to me?”
— Just Drop Out: Hannaford Prep Year One by J Bree
While there are similarities to other RH books, this one stands out. Lips, the FMC, is strong, resilient, but also timid and shy around some of the new boys she goes to school with. We learn early on where she’s from and who she is and just how much she wants to not live the life she’s been given. Lips finds a great nemesis in Avery and this girl is calculating, conniving, and cold. Her bullying ways will leave you infuriated, but intrigued.
J Bree’s writing will absolutely pull you, drag you, and get you immersed into the world of Hannaford so quickly, you don’t even realize until it’s too late. You’ll quickly realize that these characters have so much depth, so many layers, and so much chemistry, you won’t want to stop reading.
Love this whole series!
“If you’re willing to do that for your enemy, then what you do for your friends must be really special…”
Addictive, that’s the word to describe this book!!! I don’t even know where to begin with this series, Just Drop Out is my first book by J. Bree and I can’t believe it took me this long to start with her amazing work. she writes the most amazing and strong female characters, and the story is just unbelievable!!
Eclipse Anderson is from Mounts Bay, in the underworld she’s known as the Wolf; she wants out, she doesn’t want to be trapped in that world anymore, so when she gets a scholarship in Hannaford Preparatory Academy, she sees an opportunity to get out; the problem is that not everything is that easy…they don’t want her there, but Avery, Ash, Blaise and Harley don’t know what she’s capable of.
I’d love to say that this is another amazing high school bully romance, but this is so much more than that, there’s this twisted, intoxicating and deep story in this series that I can only be sure I’m going to enjoy until the last word of this!!
I previously reviewed this whole series but didn’t review each individual book. HOWEVER I am fresh off a reread so be ready for Hannaford Prep reviews. .
When I read Just Drop Out the FIRST time it was amazing. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end. When I read it the SECOND time it was still just as amazing to me as it was the first time. I love this book and I will reread it again and again because it’s just that good.
I like this series because it’s not your typical bully romance. It doesn’t follow the usual bully formula. The heroine of this series is stronger than most of the others. Boy is she. And she’s hiding secrets. The only thing I hate is her nickname: Lips. Wost. Nickname. Ever. But I can look past that for a good read.
Omg this book was soooooo good! It has a lot of bullying, but it’s a little different then most others. In this book lips is a strong girl with a big past. She is a straight up survivor! I am still on the fence how I feel about the other main characters, I cant wait to start book two!
Oh this book gives us everything and so much more. If you running on know what going on them think again. You mind is totally spinning through this book but when you get to the end it leaves us hanging but in a good way. This author really knows what’s she’s doing and I definitely recommend her. In to book 2. I give it 5 stars.
A-F*ck!ng-Mazing
If you want a bully romance worthy of your time THIS IS THE BOOK TO READ! I REPEAT, THIS. BOOK. READ. IT. The world that J. Bree created is refreshing. It gives you the classic “rich kids bully poor kid” theme but the way Bree has spun this tale makes you feel like you’re reading it for the first time. It’s brilliant. I have a hard time with “strong” female leads because they are so overdone and it makes me want to rip my hair out because besides there “I don’t need no man” mantra they have absolutely no depth beyond that. Lips isn’t like that at all. She has depth she has the bada$s personality but she’s still a girl trying to make it. She wants to change to find out who she is behind being the notorious wolf….. THAT is how you build a character. Another thing I love about Lips is she wins some but she also loses some…and she does both with grace. There is heat in this story, enough to grab your attention but not enough that it shadows the actually story. This story isn’t just about the romance, which don’t get wrong, is freaking smoking, but it’s also about friendship. Not the sunshine and butterflies type of friendship. No no no it’s about the dark, nitty-gritty, sh!t. What would you do for your friends? It’s about loyalty, breaking chains, and unbreakable souls. Oh and don’t even get me started on Avery…. THIS, ladies & gentlemen, is how you write strong female leads.
OH MY GOD…. ABSOLUTE FIREEEEE!!!! I was addicted from jump!! Started book 1 and finished book 2 by next morning! There is NOTHING I love more than a bad ass female lead, but HOLY HELL does Lips take the cake! This has got to be the BEST female lead in a bully romance EVER! I would be down for another 10 books in this series, I am ALL ABOUT the Wolf!
I loved this book. The characters just put you in their world. I really felt like I was right there. I loved all 3 books so far
This book wasn’t what I expected at all, and I’m completely thrilled by that! I really didn’t think I was going to like it, but the twist it has sucked me in. Definitely not your average academy book.
Absolutely loved this book, I couldn’t get enough!
This book. So good. Yes, there are a few things that are a little out there and one or two happenings that I didn’t quite understand the logic used, but it in no way detracted from the overall fantastic read this was. I couldn’t put it down. And now I’m off to immediately download the next installment because I can’t get enough
This book was recommended to me by one of my FB groups because I love me some dark romance & RM, & this series gives me all those fixes.
Just Drop Out is the first book for J. Bree & it meet all my expectations. I was sooo engrossed this book that I didn’t even stop to write my review before I started Make your Move.
The heroine Eclipse aka Lips aka the Wolf, is so badass that I am officially obsessed with her. The boys my god (fanning myself) are hawt. & Avery is a bad ass who’s is protective and a reigning dictator.
Hannaford prep collection is amazing! Once you start you can’t put them down! I absolutely love this series and can’t wait for the last one. I hope it’s not the end of these characters..
