With Tanner working alongside her, they decipher the code in a forgotten journal, uncovering a young girl’s journey to freedom and a powerful family’s secret.
When disaster strikes, Tanner will do everything he can to keep Kelly safe—even if that means letting her into the most vulnerable part of who he is.
‘Just Breathe’ is the second book in The Protectors series and can easily be read as a standalone. All of my series are linked, so if you meet a character you like, you could find them in another book. Happy reading!
Praise for Leeanna Morgan’s books:
“I am addicted to Leeanna Morgan’s books! The only problem with them is that I hate coming to the end of one, and can’t wait for the next good read. I love how she weaves the characters together, and draws you right into their lives. If you haven’t discovered her, please do give her books a try. You won’t be disappointed, except for not having found her sooner!”
“I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I couldn’t put it down. I purchased it today and finished it just now. Captivating story from beginning to end. Definitely a five star book.”

Fun to read
A light romance
An enjoyable novel with unpredictable family secrets bringing intrigue into the storyline
I really enjoyed taking the time to read this book.
I really enjoyed this book. I have read many books by LeeAnn Morgan. Just Breathe starts out at an auction. It’s a light and funny start to a great read. Tanner and Kelly have great chemistry and are perfect for each other.
There is burglary and fire. There is family to deal with in the form of Brother’s who stand between her and a “guy”. Is Tanner the guy?
Read to find out how this is going to work out.
This is a clean read for those looking for that. There is a couple of cuss words. For me it was a perfect mix of clean and romance. Thanks LeeAnn for creating a great read.
I’m basically a middle-of-the-road romance novel fan, mostly historical romances if I read them. But I must admit this contemporary held my interest. There was just enough of a mystery (Abagail’s journal) to give it a little something extra. The characters were not stereotypically “romance novel characters,” but rather people who seemed more realistic. I also liked the small town feel of everyone knowing everyone else. I would definitely recommend this book. Quite enjoyable, and kept me going till the end.
I enjoyed it !
Draws you in and you hate to finish it because it is so interest.
This book gave a inspirational slant to a very dark time in our history. It is a reminder that there were heroes among us from those who participated in the Underground Railroad to the the slaves who persevered for freedom.
This whole series weaves romance into an interesting plot rather than making romance the central focus of the plot. It makes for a really enjoyable read!
A beautiful story discovering the ugly truth that threaded itself through family secrets, and untold courage of those who were aided by the underground railroad.
