Miles Webb. Gorgeous, wounded, sexy as hell. The man of my dreams wants me. He’s offering to take my virginity.Too bad he’s a total nightmare. Sweet one minute. Sour the next. Always totally and completely irresistible.I want to slap him. And tear off his clothes. This can work. As long as I don’t fall for him. As long as we play by a few simple rules…No feelings, no secrets, no falling in love.… feelings, no secrets, no falling in love.
There’s no way I’m falling in love with someone I hate this much… is there?

Softer.
Then harder.
Then harder still.
I get tired of reading that after a while. It’s Crystal Kaswell’s thing. She writes it at least two or three times a book in some fashion. I lie. I saw it only once in Just a Tease, but this is a novella, so it’s pro-rated.
Just a Tease is that. It’s a little bonus for readers that tells us a little more of what happened between Meg Smart and Miles Webb before they met and after they started talking.
The POV begins with Meg’s and switches between hers and Miles, but is mostly Miles and is a lead-up to Just A Taste.
I like reading Crystal Kaswell because, having lived in LA, it’s a kick to know the locales she’s talking about, and I like how she writes for the most part. BUT I’m not too fond of the repetition, and her stories do tend to get derivative.
Even though this may irritate people because it’s only a teaser/prequel for another book, Just a Tease still had a bit of content. Usually lusting after a rockstar means a one-night stand or maybe some gold digging, but Meg lusting’s is for the guy that understands her through his words. She thinks there is a deep connection with some guy she’ll never meet. And when they do, there’s something mutual…for different reasons. It’s hot, steamy, a little sleazy, but honest. If you don’t want the teaser, pick up the book Just a Taste instead. This advance was given to me for an honest review, and I am willingly leaving my review.
Although I’m a huge Crystal Kaswell fan, I haven’t read the Sinful Serenade series, but after reading this, it is on my list! Sing your heart Out is the first book in the Sinful Serenade series and this is the story from Miles pov. This is not just a rehashing, it is new , fresh, and thoroughly entertaining as you see inside the male perspective.
Miles is a troubled rockstar – how very cliche – but after his band mates step in, Miles is now sober but broken. He is adamant that he will never fall in love or have a relationship as he is too damaged. Then he meets Meg, a friend of a friend of Drew, one of his band mates, and totally off limits according to them. Meg is working through her own tragedy and is not interested in anything but forgetting about the world for a while. Together they agree, no expectations, no emotions, no attachments. So when Meg all but begs Miles to take her virginity, he agrees, on the condition that she knows this is not a relationship and that she must not fall in love with him. As Miles fights his attraction and his need for Meg, he has to work through his own issues and acknowledge his true feelings, while making serious mistakes along the way.
Love getting inside Miles head and seeing how he copes with his feelings.
What an amazing author! I’ve read Miles and Meg’s story in Sing Your Heart Out, and this prequel has all the feels as the full story. I think I may need to spend the day rereading that book after this tease of a reminder of their awesome story. Two deeply affected people who have experienced great loss come together with so much baggage they don’t know how to deal with it. Start the journey with this book and hold on as you will scream through the pages and be begging for more when it’s done!
This is the prequel to how Miles and Meg, from Sinful Serenade met. (If you haven’t read the series yet – where have you been? Seriously. Stop whatever you’re doing and get straight to it! ). Anyhow, I digress!
This gives us the chance to see how Miles and Meg met, and gets us extra prospective as to how things turned out the way they did. It’s a great series opener and comes highly recommended .
“My past is there for anyone who wants to look. But no one does.” Love that quote. It is perfect Miles.
This is an entertaining quick read. Love Meg and Miles. I always want more of Miles. I’m a sucker for broody, bad boy, rockstars.
This gave me a little more insight into Meg’s pain and why she connects with Miles.
Overall, a good read. Definitely a must for Sinful Serenade fans.
I received an advanced copy of this manuscript and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.”
Just a Tease by Crystal Kaswell is the Prequel to Just a Taste the store of Meg and Miles. This is a little teaser that was nice of the author to put out. I enjoyed Just a Taste so this was a nice treat. Enjoyed it.
This story is the perfect way to introduce you to the characters of Just A Taste. It is a gripping tale of how Meg and Miles meet. Whether it was fate, destiny, or pure chance that brought them together you can feel the tension-filled kismet. The sparks that ignite your interest in this story will have you jonesing for the next book. This is a great way to get a taste of not only these characters, but also for Crystal Kaswell’s all-consuming style of writing. This is a must-read!
Just a Tease is just that..a tease. Miles and Meg are one of my favorite couples and this little tease of thier story is hot. Crystal’s bad boys are dark and broody and Miles is just delicious. Meg gives just as good as she gets. She’s tough and is the perfect fit for him. Read this teaser and follow it with their full story in Sing Your Heart Out.
This prequel to Just A Taste from the Sinful Serenade Series will wet your appetite for the series. This little tease introduces us to Miles and Meg. It’s told from Miles POV. Their chemistry is off the charts and will definitely heat up your Kindle. So grab a comfy spot and a cold drink because once you start reading, you won’t want to put this book down. I read an arc copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
It’s a start.
This is our introduction to Megara “Meg” and Miles, her hot and cold temptation.
It’s supposed to be no strings, but there are a tiny million little threads binding them together.
So, angst and steam.
Recommend.
Just A Tease is a fantastic prequel to the Sinful Serenade series by Crystal Kaswell. In Just A Tease, the reader gets to see how Miles’ voice and lyrics reach Meg after she has suffered a tragic loss, how Meg and Miles meet, and how Miles struggles to keep an emotional distance from Meg. The chemistry between Miles and Meg is smoking HOT! Meg and Miles are able to see in each other what nobody else can see. I love Crystal Kaswell and would highly recommend getting Just A Tease and Just A Taste, Meg and Miles’ story told from Miles’ POV. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Just a Tease is a Sinful Serenade Prequel by Crystal Kaswell. I absolutely loved this little taste of Megara and Miles’ story. We are treated to a glimpse of them prior to meeting, get to dig deeper into what makes them who they are and how they are. Its sexy, short and deeply satisfying.
“This girl is a breath of fresh air. Maybe that’s a sign. I should walk away. Too bad I’m not going to listen to it.” ~ Miles
Love getting a glimpse into Meg and Miles. They have a lot of baggage and don’t want a relationship. Read Just a Taste to get their whole story after reading their prequel.
Teasing or fooling themselves
Just A Tease: A Sinful Serenade Prequel by Crystal Kaswell is a very well written introduction about Miles and Meg from Miles’s POV. This truly is just a tease! Their chemistry is off the charts even though they have barely even gotten started.
This author has done a great job of including Meg, providing some much needed background and establishing how deeply connected these two are. The author teases us with how these two are going to engage and if you enjoyed the teasing, flirty banter with the emotional depth, you will love what’s going to come next with these two angsty, emotionally damaged characters.
Overall, a wonderful set up for the next segment of Miles and Meg that I can’t wait to delve into!
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
