Everett Jewel is the hottest star the London stage has seen in a generation. He is brash, sensual, and sure of himself. Men and women throw themselves at his feet, and he laps up the attention. But all of Everett’s glittering star power hides his wounded heart. He has adoration, but he longs for a love that he doesn’t think he’s worthy of, due to his dark past. Metropolitan Police officer, … Police officer, Patrick Wrexham has never been wanted by anyone. From the time he was a child, fighting for scraps in the orphanage where he was raised, he has always been overlooked, in spite of his good heart and determination to protect the weak. He is the complete opposite of Everett in every way, and he knows it. Which is why he has been infatuated since the moment he first saw Everett perform.
When Everett and Patrick team up to hunt down the ringleaders of a child kidnapping ring, their skills make them the perfect professional match. But sparks fly between them right from the start, creating a tempestuous, sensual partnership. And when Everett’s ego lands him in deeper trouble than he ever could have dreamed of, it’s up to Patrick to become the hero he never believed he could be to save the man he loves.

I just have to say, Merry Farmer stepped up her game in this book. I knew Everett Jewel’s book was going to be interesting. What else would expect from the gregarious actor? But this book, really brought It all! There was edge of your seat suspense, humor, great characters, emotions, and a story that has me already waiting for the last book.
Everett Jewel is so much more than what I expected. I expected him to be outgoing, one who does not take anything seriously and goes after what he wants when he wants it and when he is through, he moves on. I could not have been more wrong. Sure, he may be boisterous, but what I found was that is to hide the scared man inside. Jewel’s story hurt my heart and I truly need for him to get his vengeance on the people that hurt him. Heck, I need some vengeance….I need some seriously bad stuff to happen to those folks that hurt Jewel!
Patrick Wrexham has not had an easy life; he has lived his life is the shadows because it was easier than being seen. I just wanted to wrap Patrick up in a big hug and give him all the bread and sausage! But what happens when you put an introvert and an extrovert together? Fireworks! And a lot of confusion, and mistakes. Everett and Patrick’s journey is not an easy one and they make missteps. However, of all the characters in the Brotherhood books, I think I rooted for these two the most. They needed each other without even knowing it!
Patrick has been sent by Scotland Yard to continue to investigate the missing children ring and things are getting close. This book is filled with suspense, romance, and two broken souls coming together to heal each other. I could not have loved these two more! I definitely recommend this series and I cannot wait until the final book (David and Lionel) is released. If this book is any indication, we are in for a wild ride in the last book. The men of the brotherhood are fantastic, but Jewel and Patrick have totally won my heart! (Note: This is a MM romance, if that is not your thing…read something else)
I liked how different Patrick and Everett were but how great they were together. I loved that this book has the continuation of the search for the child kidnapping ring. Patrick and Everett’s story was another great addition to this series and I enjoyed it.

Patrick is a police officer trying to break a child sex ring. Everett is an actor with information about the sex ring. He also wants to help. They both are attracted to each other but have secrets that they’re afraid to revel. This series just gets better and better. I can’t wait for the next book.
Book three in The Brotherhood series a well written story I was not putting down until I had finished it. This is Everett Jewel is the hottest star the London stage and Metropolitan Police officer Patrick Wrexham’s story a very good M/M story with suspense, drama, danger, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Everett Jewel – London stage star, loved by many, hides his pain. A man who suffered such atrocities, there was still the longing to be loved by that special someone. With the secrets of his past, can he let someone in and let down his guard? One thing about pain and secrets, you are never alone in their grasp.
Patrick Wrehxam is a Metropolitan police officer and never seen as the desire of someones eye. Raised in an orphanage, he had plenty of love to give and no one to share it with.
One unusual circumstance brings two men, who otherwise may not cross the other’s path, together.
Opposites attract, sparks fly and the underlying desire began to rear its head. Just the sweet romance they both need.

One Flamboyant Actor and a Copper….

No one could really comprehend the evil someone had to possess to orchestrate the atrocities that was happening to the most vulnerable in their society.
Patrick wasn’t sure how he found himself working along side someone like Everrett but here he was as they frantically searching for the man Everett swore up and down was one of the ones they needed to find.
They may have been total polar opposites
Everett whole heartily embraced a more flamboyant personality while Patrick was a quieter soul whom held himself back.
They both knew the up hill battle they faced against men considered far beyond their reach so they had to find more proof they would shine a bright light on their nefarious deeds that no one could doubt.

Everett is the star on the London stage and the toast of the town all the while hiding his pain of being used and abused over the years. Patrick is also hiding his own pain of growing up hungry in the orphanage but he has chosen a different path as he is a policeman. While working to track down some children traffickers they meet and work together. This is a adult story with adult theme but a really sweet romance story between two lost souls who find their match in each other.
Merry Farmer’s books are always a delight to read. Highly recommend! Merry Farmer
This is a great addition to the Brotherhood Series. The hunt for the children that were kidnapped and sold into slavery or the sex trade continues but now the main ring leaders have been discovered, even if they are currently on the run, Scotland Yard is after them. The main focus of this story is the relationship between Everett and Patrick and their involvement in this investigation. The story is well written in that the two main characters have hidden past that are still haunting them today. Some headway is made for Patrick and Everett to confront and rise above these demons. This is a great series and I would highly recommend it as a great read.
An unlikely pair, Everett Jewel and Officer Patrick Wrexham. Everett has been the over the top actor from book one. But do we really know Everett? I think that oftentimes loud people are hiding sadness and insecurities. Patrick is the by the book cop. What do we know of Patrick’s background? Everett and Patrick are beautiful people who have had a hard life but learn to lean on each other. While reading this story, I felt the vulnerability of these characters. In fact, I felt as if I was looking into their world and should have been shying away. There are a lot of painful moments. There are equally a lot of lovely scenes where you can sense their caring and love. I still love Stephen (with his glasses) from the last book but Everett (who I just passed by as a character) is now also ingrained in my mind.
I received a complimentary copy from the author.
Everett Jewel is the arrogant and always confident star of the London stage. He adores the spotlight, but his glittering facade hides a wealth of pain and feelings of unworthiness he harbors due to his nightmarish past.
Patrick Wrexham has never been loved or wanted by anyone. After growing up fighting for every scrap of food in an orphanage, he’s used to being overlooked. This struggle led to his determination to protect the weak and now he’s made a career out of that drive and his ability to blend in as a Metropolitan Police Officer. Patrick and Everett couldn’t be more opposite, so of course Patrick has quietly been a fan ever since he first saw one of Everett’s plays.
When his latest investigation into a child kidnapping ring leads Patrick to work with Everett, their respective skills make them a great team on a professional level, but the tension between them in other areas is palpable. When Everett takes his arrogant showmanship too far, it’s up to Patrick to embrace feelings he never thought himself capable of and become the hero.
There was so much palpable tension here and it was delicious. That tension was perhaps drawn out a bit long, although on the other hand, I think the build-up was necessary for Patrick’s character. I loved the furtherance of the kidnapping investigation and my only complaint is that things fell apart a bit near the end and all the main and supporting characters made decisions that seemed to come out of left field and felt very out of character. But things are also falling apart for our villains and I’m looking forward to the next story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the third book in this brilliant riveting series, it could be read on its own but I’d recommend reading the whole series to fully appreciate & to be able to completely involved in the thread of the child kidnapping ring. I came to this book with preconceived ideas about Everett & boy were they blown out of the water, the more I read the more I liked him & my heart bled for all he’d suffered & my admiration grew for him. I loved Patrick from the start but once again my heart bled for his childhood & thank goodness he kept his food pouch. A very well written book that luckily I began early in the day as I didn’t have to read into the night as no way could I put it down. I was taken on a plethora of emotions from tears to laughter. This series goes from strength to strength & is definitely a keeper
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
