On the verge of losing the Malibu home she inherited from her great-aunt, Addi Dekker is failing hard to show her family she can make it as a writer. If she doesn’t want to give up her dream and go back to the soul-sucking job she happily left behind, Addi has to swallow her dislike of Hollywood and rent her bungalow out to the sexy-as-hell film producer who stole from her. But, she has a plan … she has a plan (shhhh!) she’ll stay out of the camera’s eye and keep living there, too. It was time for Tinseltown to pay up.
Roque Gallagher is pouring his heart and savings into his first independent film to make the industry acknowledge him for his talent and not just his family name. Addi’s home is perfect for the shoot, but she’s far too tempting. He’s never been able to handle work and a relationship, and this is the film of a lifetime. Between a shrinking budget and his director quitting, the last thing he needs is a sexy-as-sin tease like Addi. And he has a feeling there’s something she’s hiding…

Addi Dekker is such a strong female character and works so hard to stand on her own after what she’s been through. She doesn’t want to rent out her bungalow because she doesn’t want to have anything to do with the Gallaghers. But when she sees an opportunity to right what has been wronged, she decides now is the time to seize it.
Roque Gallagher is trying to make a name for himself apart from his family. He has a talent for filmmaking, and he feels as though he has a lot to prove. When he goes searching for a bungalow that would be perfect for the shoot he has planned, he finds Addi’s to be the perfect fit, and finds the resident spitfire within to be much too attractive. He’s a workaholic and fails at relationships because of it. But when Addi finds her way into his crew, the sparks fly in more ways than one.
Each of them has secrets they’d prefer to steer clear of, but hers seem to be more detrimental than his. Can they find a compromise? And what happens if her secrets come out?
I love this new series so much and fall for the characters from the starting gate. They get under my skin quickly and draw me into their stories. And the background characters are just as colorful and important to the story. Their lives are intertwined in ways that we don’t see immediately, and the stories unfold in a way that captures the heart. I am excitedly looking forward to the next story in the series.
Fantastic read, great plot and lovable characters
That was great read. I loved the pace of the story and how easily I could connect with all the characters in this book. Slow burning romance with story line that unravels nicely and bring us more and more action. Main characters caught in the web o lies and secrets. Their actions are driven by fear, guilt, pain and anger. Then there’s love and intense chemistry. Will Addi and Roque find their way to cope with all of this together? Just read this to find out. It will be worth your time.
This story was found to be thoroughly enjoyable. The length of this novel seemed somewhat lengthy in comparison to other romance novels currently on the market; this is not a negative comment. This reader could have kept on reading, such was the draw to the story by Ms. Meredith. The storyline was clearly presented, flowed smoothly and was easy to read. The characterizations were wonderful. Both the main male and female characters were presented as very interesting characters, especially the main female character; she certainly had a personality not many people have. She presented as quixotic and impetuous. She made for highly entertaining reading. This reader is relatively new to Ms. Meredith’s work but will certainly be on the lookout for her novels; past, present and future. Highly recommended reading.
Thank you Ms. Meredith for putting this collection of words together in such a lovely format.

In Addison Dekker and Roque Gallagher’s story, you could feel the tension between them when they first meet but I like how the story progresses. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Addi is an up-and-coming author who has turned her back on the career path her family envisions for her and is determined to make it on her own even if she has perhaps bitten off more than she can chew. Meanwhile, Roque is a Hollywood producer who is trying to make a name for himself on his own terms with the launch of his first indie film separate from his family’s name. Their paths first cross at the wedding of Addi’s sister where Roque, a beautiful male specimen who knows all to well how good his looks are, tries to hit on Addi who is having none of it. Their paths cross again shortly thereafter when Roque proposes to rent Addi’s home to film his movie. Addi desperately wants to blow Roque off but she’s at risk of losing her Aunt’s bungalow that she inherited and finds Roque’s proposal to be one she can’t refuse. Addi, however, adds her own personal twist since she holds Roque responsible for the theft of her first story and is determined to come out on top. Things pick up from there and only get more interesting! This story continues expounding upon the characters first introduced in the first Scripted for Love story, Love Under the Hot Lights, although may be read as a standalone. The characters are conveyed with such depth and richness and the story presents with intrigue, family drama, and the pressures of survival and trying to make it. Over time, Addi and Roque discover they have more in common than they ever could have imagined and eventually sparks fly. Definitely a must read! MK Meredith is an amazing author who never disappoints! I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Addison Dekker is a woman with a plan. Roque Gallagher is a man with a mission. When the two are forced to work together the sparks fly.
This is an action packed, amazing read.
Addi is struggling to keep her house from going into foreclosure. When Roque Gallagher offers to pay rent for her house for an upcoming movie he is producing, she sees it as a way to pay off the outstanding mortgage and property tax debt, but also schemes to get retribution against his company who is making a movie from her book they stole. What she didn’t plan on was getting to know Roque under his rough exterior, and she definitely didn’t plan on falling for him. But Roque has been lied to in the past and has made it clear to Addi liars are a deal breaker for him.
Addi tried her best to fix her mistakes. Unfortunately for her, Roque only saw her behavior as deceptive and treated her terribly. Will Roque be able to forgive Addi and give her a second chance? This was a great read, with Addi’s sister Sam and Gage from book 1 making appearances in this book. Looking forward to the next one!
MK Meredith has again captured you into her writing and keeps you reading page after page.
