Las Vegas. October 1985. This is the story of how a King claimed his Queen… Garland, my father’s life-long enemy.
To say she was untouchable would be an understatement.
Fiona, apparently, didn’t get that memo.
Their feud is their feud, she said. I don’t see why we can’t be friends…
But friends don’t look at each other the way we do. They don’t stay up all night talking and touching and…
Friends don’t fall in love. That’s what lovers do.
Do lovers risk everything to be with their Queen?
No.
That’s what Kings do.
Just a King is the secret love story you’ve been waiting for! Daddy and Mama Botsford’s story is Kindle-melting hot and guaranteed to keep you up all night long!

This was just so ahhmazing I knew returning to the Botsford Hotel was going to one damn good ride, because this was where all the magic began for this family and Tabatha delivered in spades. Omg this book from page 1 had me turning pages to see what would happen next. If you’ve read about the Botsford family you won’t want to miss out on this one. This is about the King getting his Queen.
Kingston is working to keep his family business going. One night he goes out for a smoke and meets this gorgeous woman and shares a smoke with her. He had no clue that she is related to the family his father is feuding with. Fiona likes Kingston and doesn’t know why the feud between their parents should effect things between them. Sparks sizzle between them whenever they meet. Can the two of them make something more without family interference? What will their families do once they learn about them?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

I loved this so much! This is the couple that started it all, the mom and dad of those delectable Botsford men. I’ve read Graham, Ira, Hayden, and Jonah’s stories in books 1 through 4 and loved them too but there is something extra special about Kingston and Fiona’s beautiful, heart-melting, emotional romance! Awesome storytelling by the fabulous Tabatha Kiss.

Kingston and Fiona’s story is the best! Whether you’ve read the other stories or not, you will truly enjoy this one. You feel the connection between Kingston and Fiona from the start. Their chemistry’s off the charts. It’s got all the feels with just the right mix of drama and hot, steamy passion. Of course, if you’ve been following the Botsford brothers, you’re going to love the epilogue! I highly recommend this very enjoyable, entertaining and engaging love story. It makes the whole series!
Great series
Kingston inherited a failing hotel in Las Vegas. As he is working to clean up the hotel, in walks Fiona. Instant attraction. But Fiona is the daughter of Senator Garland which is his father’s enemy. Only Fiona doesn’t care and wants to be friends with Kingston. It doesn’t stop at friendship though between these two. Can these two overcome their family problems? Well you know they do because the previous books are about Graham, Hayden, Ira and Jonah which I recommend as they are great.

As we continue with the Botsford Family we find ourselves with Kingston and I have been waiting for his story from the beginning and I wasn’t disappointed. Wow this was emotional, steamy and sweet., I loved getting to know all the characters in this family and I loved this book.
This was a great story. I would be definitely checking out the other books in the series. The epilogue made me curious about Kingston and Fiona’s boys and their stories.
Kingston and Fiona’s story is entertaining , sexy and so captivating to read. Kingston ends up having to manage the Las Vegas hotel owned by his family when he meets Fiona. She is the daughter of his family worst enemy and she is smart, sassy and a politician’s daughter. When they meet their chemistry jumps off the pages and times passes but they keep thinking about each other. When they meet again the spark is even brighter and they start this secret affair. The story will takes you through their journey in life and it is a fabulous family story that will hook from the get go. I honestly volunteered to review this story.
Once again this author did not disappoint and wrote an amazing story in this series and was well written. This one is the brothers parents Fiona and Kingston’s story from the rest if the series. I loved reading about how they fell in love and their relationship in general. Could not put down at all and just loved it.
OMG!!! I have been waiting for Papa Botsford’s story and finding out how he and Fiona fell in love. Tabatha did not disappoint. This was so good. It was great to see where Graham, Hayden, Ira and Jonah get all the attributes from. I absolutely fell in love with Kingston. He is so sweet, caring, loving and loyal. Fiona, is a strong woman who feels like she is dying inside due to everything her father wants her to do. These two are both loyal to their family, but also to each other. The connection that these two have are instant and it is proven to be strong when they see each other a year later. The chemistry between King and Fiona is hot and steamy. You can tell these two belong together. They are soulmates, and nothing can tear them apart. This was a wonderful story and I loved all the characters and t was fabulous seeing how their boys are doing. I can’t wait to see if Tabatha does some more stories in this world. You don’t have to read the boy’s stories first, but after reading this one, you will want to. I highly recommend you not pass this one up.
“His lips taste like run and bad decisions, but my heart pounds with nothing but excuses.”
This is Fiona and Kingston’s story. Their story is sweet, sexy and will have you smiling with each page. Fiona is a strong female until it comes to her father. She pretty much let’s him control her. She gives up everything for him except Kingston. Kingston calls Fiona he queen. He will do anything to keep and protect her. A secret romance leads to a secret marriage that explodes into a tense conclusion. These two strong and characters create our favorite Botsford sons.

This was such a good read! I loved Fiona and Kingston as secondary characters in the boys’ stories, but it was so great to see how the family actually started. From the first time they meet, you know sparks are going to fly! They have great chemistry together, and they made a great team. I wish that Fiona would have stood up to her father sooner, because I knew her as such a strong character in the other books, it was weird to see her bowing to anyone. I liked that the ending brought them full circle. It was really sweet. The only bad thing about this book was that it’s the end of the series 🙁 This was one of my favorite series of books, I just wish there were more Botsford boys 🙂

The KING and his QUEEN!
Boom!
After reading about the Botsford brothers and their incredible journeys, getting a look into how it all began for their parents Kingston and Fiona. Holy, I need more batman! What an all-encompassing heart squeezer with a side of frustration and delicious temptation.
I couldn’t have loved King and Fiona more if I tried, the well-developed characters so wrapped up in an insta-lust, insta-all hearts a fire tabooness. *SIGH*
Ms. Kiss has such an ear for dialogue coupled with the intermingling conflicts well defined between characters all within the fast and furious story.
‘Just A King’ was a one sitting cover to digital cover read for me!
If you have read the other books in the Hearthrob Hotel Series, I HIGHLY recommend adding this book to your reading list! If you haven’t- What are you waiting for? The Bostforfd Brothers are one set you don’t want to miss!
5++ Stars from Me!
With all the pomp and circumstance swirling around her father’s political campaign, Fiona was looking for an escape from the phony publicity and the way she played a part in it all.
Her attraction to Kingston and her belief in him made all the difference in the world to him. Underappreciated as the younger son and always being overshadowed and cut into by his older brother, Kingston was forced to make his way in the Vegas holding instead of the new Chicago venture he brainstormed.
I loved his fighting spirit and ability to take good advice, even when the advice came from the daughter of his father’s longtime enemy. He managed to stay away far away from Fiona after meeting her for a year before their paths cross again.
Their second meeting brought up their past chemistry, and their relationship took of this second time around. Kingston fell hard and I really liked the way the author had him acting as Fiona’s rescuer. It took a while for her self serving father to come to his senses, but I’m glad he finally did.
The main event was the relational and steamy way the main couple connected and the way they were able to grow and trust each other. Very well written with good pacing. Very satisfying read!

We finally get the head of the Botsford family, Kingston and Fiona’s story…and what a story. Kingston meets Fiona on the roof of his hotel in Vegas and actually listens to what she has to say, little does he know that the young woman is the daughter of his family’s nemesis, the daughter of a senator who has a feud with his dad for many years. That doesn’t stop him of thinking of her and the next time she’s in town, he doesn’t let the moment pass. But they have obstacles, their family and the image she portrays to the cameras.
A great read to finally get the answers as to how this power couple who raised five boys into the men we have read about in the previous books, came together. A story not to be missed, with amazing characters, some drama with others, steam oh my steam, and a man who finds his Queen, the one he doesn’t want to let go, the one he would do anything to keep…and does.
I loved everything about this book and the ending with the epilogue….not to be missed as it wraps it all up perfectly and left me with a huge smile on my face.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is Kingston and Fiona’s story – parents of the Botsford Brothers. It’s easy to see where the guys get their charm and charisma from – the both of them.
Kingston Botsford and Fiona Garland are from rival families. After a chance encounter one night and a year of pinning after Fiona, Kingston refuses to let her walk away when they run into each other again.
I totally loved this one. It has the right balance of steam, romance, drama, emotion, and so much love. Even though there are several additional storylines happening at the same time, the focus on the romance is never lost. The chemistry between them is obvious from the moment they interact and continues throughout setting the very foundation for their relationship and future reign of the Botsford Plaza hotels.
This story can be read as a standalone but everyone needs a Botsford Boy in their life. And if you’ve read the other stories, you’ll get a update at the end for the entire clan. Definitely a recommended read – both this book and the entire series.
Equal parts steamy and sweet, this book keeps the pages turning. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style, with characters who are easy to like and a story that is anything but predictable. It definitely has an insta-love feel with these two knowing from the very beginning that something special simmers between them, but the chemistry was obvious and the connection strong.
The story follows Kingston, a young hotel manager working at the family business. He meets Fiona one night and it changes everything for him. At the time, he didn’t realize that the confident and outspoken woman he shared a cigarette with is the daughter of a politician who has been feuding with his father. Instead, he saw a sexy and independent woman who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She has to play a role for the public, but behind the scenes is an entirely different story. When Kingston and Fiona run into each other again, the sparks are still there and this time neither one is willing to walk away. They quickly fall into a forbidden fling that only proves to Kingston that he’s found his queen.
I really enjoyed this story, and though it’s part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone. Honestly, if you’ve read the series you’ll probably be a little more hesitant to get into Kingston and Fiona’s story since they’re older in the other books and this one does get pretty dirty. There is absolutely no slow burn here – these two have a spark from the moment they meet and it burns hot throughout the story. Personally, I would’ve loved a little more time spent on these two connecting outside of the bedroom, but the writing makes it easy to enjoy the story.

What a treat to read about the Botsford Boys’ parents, Kingston and Fiona. Its kind of like Romeo and Juliet but with an HEA instead of tragedy. Kingston and Fionas love story has angst, romance and lots of steamy scenes. What a great way to finish this series. I loved this book and loved the entire series!
Just a King by Tabatha Kiss is an awesome story of Kingston and Fiona, captivating, intriguing, fun, hot and steamy read that you cannot put it down once you started reading the lines, the king and Queens romance story is way better and hotter than their children, lol! their story is worth the wait!! well done!
