Fun, heart warming, sweet novella with strong characters that I enjoyed. It is a quick read but I loved the story. I highly recommend the book.
Montana Small Town Romance
This is a cute, clean and very short romance. Having not read any of this series, I felt the story needed to be longer. The characters needed more depth. The plot was very simplistic and almost juvenile. In all, it was not a waste of time, but close to it. I received this book (ARC) at no cost and chose to post my honest review.
In this thoroughly enjoyable romance, Jorgen finds himself being relegated to the “friend” zone by Pam. However, when he confirms her assertion of their status, she’s not so sure that it is what she really wants. Living in a small town in Montana during a snowstorm, Pam discovers that almost everyone is related in some way or another, otherwise they have known each other since they were in the playground together. She also discovers that when in trouble, the community pulls together and take care of each other, and without consciously thinking about it, she has joined their ranks. It is only when her overbearing brother shoulders in to rescue Pam from her supposed folly, that she realises just how much she would be giving up by going home with him. This book, albeit short, is a fun read and had me smiling from the opening pages. I loved Jorgen’s upbeat personality and well as Pam’s willingness to listen to her friends, whilst also listening to her heart. I found this a most entertaining and clean story, and it could be read by most age groups. I received a copy of this book for free as a gift, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Just A Friend – Another wonderful, entertaining story by Ms. Maywether. This book is well written, entertaining delight to read. There’s realistic, likable characters with good dialog, no stupid formula and a fun plot to get immersed in for a little while. A nice way to relax for an hour or so. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by this lady. I contacted the author to review her books.
Get Well Soon – Another wonderful, entertaining story by this author. A well written, funny romance and a quick marriage between two best friends of over 30 years. The characters are great and likable, and the dialog is realistic. They work out their new relationship, while remaining best friends, as one thing after another works against their marriage and trust. An enjoyable way to spend an evening is reading this story.
Underneath The Mistletoe – A quickly read, sweet story about a guy trying to get a kiss from a woman who is seven years older than him. A heartwarming and fun Christmas story with her family and a man too far from home for the holidays. This is my first story by this author.
I loved this novella. Pam is independent and sassy and Jorgen is not the man people think he is. This is a definite case of fate pushing Pam towards her HEA whether she likes it or not. The signs were all there for her to see in this wonderful, humorous romance. The end is wonderful. I definitely recommend this short story, it is a great addition to this series as well as a stand-alone book.
