Stockholm syndrome or Love? When you want someone completely wrong for you… a homophobic, cynical billionaire who has a grudge against Luke’s father, is certainly not Mr. Right. Cold, manipulative, and ruthless, he’s not a nice man and he doesn’t pretend to be.
Luke is fully aware that Roman is all wrong for him. His attraction to the guy is just some sort of Stockholm syndrome; it must be. If life were a fairy tale, Roman would be the main villain, not the hero.
But even villains can fall in love. Or can they?
The story of a boy who dreamed of Prince Charming and ended up falling for the Beast.
This novel contains derogatory language, mentions of violence, explicit M/M content, D/s. Book #6 in the Straight Guys series, but it can be read as a stand alone.

I just loved this series. I binged on the whole thing the past week. I picked these up after coming across them on Amazon when I was looking for something to read while I was bored. Now, I spent the whole week sneaking in time to read all of them. I’m going to miss this series now that I finished it. This was a new to me author, and I’m so glad I found her. I’m adding her to my auto one-click list. She’s so good and deserves more attention then she probably gets.
*Review posted to all books as a general review for whole series.
Well hot damn, that installment turned
DELICIOUSLY DARK.
I’m completely in love with this series and this author!!!
Luke is absolutely endearing & a kind soul, and in need of someone like Romeo, Ruthless and Domineering, to take care of him in the most degrading delectable way that makes him feel OWNED.
A MASTERFUL READ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Just a Bit Ruthless has to be one of my ultimate favorite books. It’s twisted, dark, and steamy, but also romantic, sweet, and just pure delicious indulgence. The sex scenes were incredibly hot with a mixture of romance, tenderness, and delightful D/s kink that had me fanning myself. The characters were unapologetic in their faults, but still magnetic and dynamic as they fell in love with each other despite knowing they shouldn’t. This is not a healthy relationship, but it’s also, surprisingly, not a toxic one. It’s something twisted, but twisted into a pattern that intricate and oddly beautiful. For a fictional romance, it was utterly perfect and I enjoyed ever bit of it.
Love this series…all books were great…read them all in 2-3 days….now I am going to go back and re-read them slowly
Luke Whitford wants it all. The perfect doting husband, the big house and of course, kids. But he also wants the approval of his father, who never see’s him as enough.
Luke is always trying to impress his father and prove to him that he can be trusted with the family business. So when he receives an email meant for his father, Luke jumps at it without giving too much thought to is safety and meets up with Roman.
Roman is beyond furious that Luke has taken the place of his father and see’s it as a huge disrespect that Luke’s father didn’t show up.
Wanting revenge on Mr Whitford for previous dealings, he deciding the opportunity too good to pass up, and has the only Mr Whitford’s only child kidnapped and held hostage in his home.
Luke wants to play coy, try flirting to get his way with Roman to ensure his safety, but Roman has his own ideas on how this is going to go down.
Just as the title suggests, Roman is ruthless, cunning and manipulating, and he own’s exactly who he is. He wants Luke to trust and depend on him, but he soon realises that may have been a big mistake. He can’t seem to resist Luke and finds himself seeking him out more than he should.
Roman is not gay, in fact, he is pretty homophobic. He loves women, lots of women, or so he keeps telling himself every time he finds himself drawn to Luke, and orders more women to his bed for Luke to listen to him with.
Luke doesn’t want to be attracted to Roman anymore than Roman wants to be to Luke. He knows he is not the prince of his dreams, but Roman has a tender side, an almost loving side that, against better judgment, makes Luke’s heart skip a beat
Seeing a way out of Roman’s grasp, Luke takes it before his “Stockholm syndrome” gets him in way over his head, and flea’s back to America where he is trying to get his life back on track. But nothing feels right without Roman.
Luke seeks help to try getting over his attraction and need for Roman while trying to move on with his new boyfriend, Dominic, a man who ticks every one of his “Perfect Prince” boxes, but when he’s Russian Beast shows up Luke is forced to admit that his “Stockholm syndrome” is in fact love.
I am dying for the next book! While I didn’t think Dominic was right for Luke, I am really excited to see where Alessandra takes him and Sammy. However, If I could beg for another book, it would be one more for Jamie and Ryan, perhaps from Ryan’s POV <3
Oh and paperbacks! These boy’s need to have a forever home on my “Can’t live without” shelf <3
