Tyler Meyer is totally straight. But then the hot woman he’s hooking up with sticks her finger where she shouldn’t, and suddenly he’s not so sure… Straight guys can like that sort of thing too, right?Except things get confusing–and frustrating–when fingers and toys aren’t quite enough.Enter Nick Hardaway, Tyler’s best friend. What’s a little fun between bros, right?Publisher’s note: This book … right?
Publisher’s note: This book contains explicit MM content, feminization, and strong language. Book #9 in the Straight Guys series, but it can be read as a stand alone.

I just loved this series. I binged on the whole thing the past week. I picked these up after coming across them on Amazon when I was looking for something to read while I was bored. Now, I spent the whole week sneaking in time to read all of them. I’m going to miss this series now that I finished it. This was a new to me author, and I’m so glad I found her. I’m adding her to my auto one-click list. She’s so good and deserves more attention then she probably gets.
*Review posted to all books as a general review for whole series.
~JUST A BIT LACKING~
Nick and Tyler’s story was good but a little lacking for me. It was all one sided on Tyler’s point of view and Tyler got to be annoying with his constant “I’m not gay” statements.
I wish we had gotten Nick’s context. I bet it would have made the book darker and hella hot!
I guess it did afford a certain scense of mystery to not include Nick’s pov, but nevertheless, I personally would have loved it!
Great writing as always and I’m so glad that Nick’s did get his story
Just a Bit Gay is book nine in the Straight Guys series by Alessandra Hazard. This is my very first book by Alessandra. It was no problem at all jumping in to this series at book nine. The only down fall was that I hadn’t met the other characters yet but it didn’t take away at all from this story.
Tyler Meyer is a twenty four year old man that manages a pub for his uncle for a living. Tyler is a bit of a player and takes home a different woman every night. But he is not in the least bit interested in getting involved in any kind of a relationship. One night, the woman he is with does something to him that makes him question everything. He shouldn’t have enjoyed that should he? He is a straight man that loves sex with women. So who better than to discuss it with than his gay best friend, Nick.
Nick Hardaway and Tyler have been best mates forever. Nick has a huge, close knit family. He is a law school student. When Tyler thinks about it for too long, he feels like a bit of a failure. All of his friends are pursuing careers, marrying, having kids, moving on. Tyler’s parents are super conservative and never hesitate to tell him what a disappointment he is.
Nick has a couple of suggestions to help Tyler with his new found erogenous zone but it’s not enough. Since Nick is gay, Tyler decides that they can enter into a type of deal that will be pleasurable for the both of them, but still just be best friends. Little by little, though, Tyler’s feelings begin to grow. His explorations with Nick gets bolder. Still, he fights the idea that he is anything but straight. Until he is faced with the fact that he could lose Nick completely if he doesn’t face up to the truth.
This was a fairly short, sweet, very hot read. I love the Gay For You trope. Even though I completely understood Tyler’s struggle, especially with the way his parents were, I did get a little annoyed with his somewhat immature approach to everything. So I didn’t feel the connection between the two of them as much as I wanted to. Still, it was fun and sexy and I enjoyed it. I look forward to looking through this author’s other works to see what she has written.
I have been a big fan of this series since book one and I have enjoyed all but one of them very much. Even though this is a bit of a shorty… I still really liked it. Now this series is called “Straight Guys” for a reason. They all feature a straight dude ending up in a gay relationship. Now they don’t usually just lie down and take it (<---- see what I did there), most of them fight against being gay, although I don't really get why because they aren't really homophobes either. Tyler is one of the straight guys desperately fighting against any "gay thoughts". Ever since his last hook up stuck a finger up his ass...he has been obsessed with his P spot. When a finger is not enough anymore he evolves to using a dildo and even to having a girl "peg" him. It's still not enough though, but what is he to do. He is NOT gay after all !! Thankfully he has his awesome friend Nick to talk to and after some back and forth between them, he comes to the conclusion that having Nick fuck him would be the best solution to his problem. I mean...Nick is gay after all and because Nick is his "best mate"...it wouldn't really be a gay thing and so it wouldn't make Ty gay... right ... Yeah.. so these two get it on and let me tell you...it wasn't quite as I was expecting. But, since I don't want to ruin the book for anyone, I am gonna keep my big mouth shut... This was a shorty but a hottie and even though Ty did annoy me on more than one occasion, I also got that things weren't easy for him. I wish this would have been a more in-depth story but we don't always get what we want and this is way better than nothing. I will leave this book with my favorite quote by my favorite character of this series: "I just think if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's stupid to pretend it isn't a duck."...Tristan Can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next 😉 My reviews are posted on Wendy's Wycked Words
I love the Hardaways and Nick is one of my favorites!!
I couldn’t put this book down. Unlike Ryan and James in Just a Bit Confusing, Nick and Tyler have a healthier BFF relationship but just like Ryan and James, all it takes is one experience for it to all come crashing down and confusing everything. I love the relationship between these two and the angst that comes with a friends-to-lovers romance.
I can’t wait for this series to come back to the States and visit with Shawn and Derek again!!
