This is a terrific book from one of my favorites! Michael Crichton was a brilliant man who wrote about people who, while they are very bright, they work in areas where their expertise starts the trouble. Very well written work – much better than the movie!!!
The book is so much more interesting than the film, that after reading it, you may never want to watch the film again. Exciting and intriguing.
Much better than the movie.
Classic
This is my favorite book of all time! It is not a story you will be able to put down. You will be on this roller coaster until the last page.

I was fleeing one of those Illinois winters. The year was 1990 and Jurassic Park, the novel had just been published. Having spent nine-years writing and researching the book, Michael Crichton also created a new category for writers, called The Techno-thriller in which I write my novels. I arrived at the gates to Disney World …
Wickedly convincing. Crichton’s abilities as a storyteller are good to very good. His chief strengths lie in impeccable research and characters who use that research in a believable fashion. When the velociraptors get loose and begin eating people, you wonder why this sort of thing hasn’t happened before. His best work by far; highest …
Excellent suspense
well written (as usual for Crichton), good mix of near (maybe) tech and action

Michael Crichton has long been my favorite author, and I have been happily rereading all of his books recently. A frequent theme in Crichton’s work is the idea of science and technology being misused, or at least not accorded the respect that they deserve, often with disastrous …
I was always a big fan of this author. I was very saddened when he passed. I still have his books to read again and take me on his adventures.
Ahh, the miracles contained in amber mixed with gene splicing, and greed thrown in. Great book
One of the strangest books I ever read. The only fault I have with it is the endless lines of genetic code.
Became a true classic, Creighton does research first to enhance the realistic scientific twists. I appreciate that.
I have never read a book by Michael Crichton that I didn’t enjoy, and this holds true with Jurassic Park. I finished it almost in 24 hours! I’m serious, if you are a fan of the movie, this is a must-read. So much will feel fun and familiar, but it’s just different enough to feel like a totally different story.
The characters especially are …
I’m a huge Jurassic Park nerd, and I love the movies – especially the original. If you are a fan of the films and have not read the book, I highly recommend it.
Michael Crichton packs an insane amount of detail into each page (think Dan Brown-level research) but he has a smooth, effortless style that keeps you turning pages. It’s absolutely …
Real page turner! SOOO much better than the movie, which i also enjoyed.
I read this a long time ago. It’s the best of all the Jurassic Park books and the most original.

It’s hard to decide which is my favorite Michael Crichton novel, Jurassic Park or
The Andromeda Strain. Because of my fascination with dinosaurs, I think I’ll stick with this book.
What else can I say about the book. Well, not much that hasn’t already been said. As with all of Mr. Crichton’s books, the ethics of the …
I loved this book and devoured it in a couple of days.
