Politics, phallic statues, and pretty women.
Literally everywhere you look, you see an old man and a gold-digging, cling-on wrapped around their wrinkly arms.
Looks as though my hot streak ended when Warren Shipley, one of the nation’s wealthiest men, hired me to play arm-candy to save face with the other one percenters he did business with. At least that’s what I thought when I arrived in … when I arrived in Washington, DC, until I was met by old man Shipley’s debonair and insanely handsome son. The Senator from California, Aaron Shipley. Youngest senator in the history of politics, single, beyond rich, and the face of every political magazine around the US. Women everywhere wanted a taste of that power.
Me, I’d always thought politics were boring…boy was I wrong. Democracy had never been more exciting.

In the sixth book of the Calendar Girl serial, Mia is sent to the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Mia is still on her mission to save her father, as she embraces the life of a gold-digging whore to allow her client to get close to other very powerful men, who are involved in politics, phallic statues, and pretty women.

Luck had not gone my way when I saw Warren Shipley, who is one of the nation’s wealthiest men. Warren hired me to play arm-candy in order to save embarrassment with the other one percenters he did business with. well that’s what I thought when I arrived in Washington, DC. there i was met by met old man Shipley’s debonair and insanely handsome arrogant son Aaron.
Aaron Shipley was notably the youngest senator in the history of politics. Aaron was voted Senator of California at the age of thirty-five. Single, beyond rich, and had his smug face of plastered over every political magazine around the US. Women around the US wanted a taste of that power Aaron now had.
Mia,had always thought politics were boring…geeze how wrong was Mia. Democracy had never been more thrilling.
Audrey Carlan is amazing. If i could give more than 5 * i would
June was a good story in that Mia played a central part in helping Warren Shipley figure out what he really needed in his life while playing eye-candy for the wealthy Washington D.C. elitist. However, I believe it really needed a trigger warning in stronger language than what was given and was disappointed that it didn’t have one. *Spoiler Alert* There is an attempted rape in this story and Mia is beaten rather viciously. I understand why it was handled the way it was when all was said and done. And I love the outcome of the situation with Warren Shipley. I also appreciated that she found out how many real friends she’d made along the way while facing this crisis. However, what happened to Mia was horrifying and a warning ahead of time would have gone a long way to getting a higher star rating.
This series is a beautiful piece of art. I feel that way about a book when the author can paint beautiful, vivid and powerful images in my head. I also consider this, a piece of art because this author wrote this series and it is unlike any other series I have ever read. It kept my attention and I did not set the books down until I finished them, and that is not is not an easy task with me because of my work and I have 3 beautiful younger children. This series made me step back and ask myself if I should step out of my comfort zone more. Thank you for this beaitiful series.
This volume of the Calendar Girls books was harder for me to get through than the rest. Just a warning, this book will deal with some heavier issues and might be a trigger for some people. I’m a little disappointed in how it ended up, but it was nice to see Mason and Tai again.
