I was kind of hesitant to read this book once I found out it was about Barbara Knollman. I haven’t liked her in the other books but I love this story. Honestly, I think this might be my favourite book in this series. The author threw in many surprises that I didn’t see coming which added so much depth to the main character.
Barbara is running for mayor of Las Vegas and it’s close to election day. Something happens which makes her realize that her life is in danger. Grudgingly she teams up with the Paranormal Talent Agency to find out who is after her.
I won’t say anymore because I don’t want to ruin anything. It’s another book filled with suspense, danger, romance and many surprises. I love this series!
Action packed and just plain fun. This book continues to meet and exceed my expectations of Silvio and this series. Wonderful characters, fast paced plot – Silvio kept me guessing in the best possible way. This series is a definite must read!
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency, #5) by Heather Silvio was the story in this series that I was most excited to read. Something about Barbara Knollman’s character lurking in the previous books called to me to know her story and what exactly makes her tick. The suspense elements in Jumping the Shark were exactly on point and created an intriguing read while giving more depth for Barbara just like I secretly wanted. This is definitely my favorite book of the series and Heather Silvio wrote a stunning story that added just what was needed in this great series.
Jumping the Shark is the 5th book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and I thought it was a great read. I was pulled in from page one and it kept me interested throughout the whole thing. This book was about a demon named Barbara and her run for mayor. In her current position she is in control of the paranormal underground in the Vegas region. But a different supernatural won as mayor she could possibly lose that position. On her way to a debate, Barbara learns that the bus she was meant to be on was involved in an accident and no one survived. Was someone trying to kill the people in the running for mayor or was it purely an accident? She decides to work with the Paranormal Talent Agency to try and prove that it wasn’t an accident after all.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was a good addition to the series. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio
5-stars
Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is another phenomenal read in her Paranormal Talent Agency Series! Having read the previous books I can honestly say that they can be read as standalones, however, I would suggest reading them in order as each new book relates to a previous one.
This book and series is one I can and will always recommend, it’s a one of a kind paranormal series with great storylines that will be sure to keep you entertained. There’s honestly nothing to dislike.
It’s intriguing, captivating, detailed, witty and suspenseful, a truly great paranormal read!
I can’t wait to continue this series ASAP!
Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency Series. I have enjoyed this series from the start and recommend reading from book 1 first. This can be read as a standalone book but the backstory to the underlying story would be missing. This book gets finally into Barbara Knollman who is a demon in charge of the paranormal underworld in Vegas for years. She is up for reelection but things are not going as expected. Also, to throw her off even more Liam steps back into her life. He is an angel who has a past with her.
I think the characters are fun and overall this is a lighthearted read. Each story is like an episode so there is closure on a primary story but with an underlying story that is carrying through all the books. I have become a fan of Heather Silvio because of this series and am looking forward to reading more from her in the future.
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency #5)
By Heather Silvio
5 stars
I really am enjoying this series and I think that this is my favourite book so far! I love how original the stories are, each one connected but also so different. The author’s writing is flawless and an absolute pleasure to read. Her storylines are imaginative and her characters creative and realistic.
In book 5 we see Barbara, a demon and very entertaining character team up with Liam, an angel to try and find out what is going on and clear her name! I really liked Barbara and Liam, I thought they worked well together and had a great amount of chemistry! I still love that hint in the background of these stories that something extra exciting is going to be coming along soon and because of this I would definitely recommend that the stories are read in order! They are all short entertaining reads so any reader would not be disappointed!
I am very excited to see where the author takes the next book!!
Jumping the Shark (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 5) by Heather Silvio was a fun, fast moving read, that had me hooked!
This series is by far one of my favourites this year. With each book we are following a new character, but the overall goal and plot is continuous. So even though each book has a new MC, I highly suggest reading them in order, or you will miss very important details, especially in this book, as the MC was once the protagonist. Though she showed some promise in the last book, in this one we get inside her head. We get to know why she turned out the way she did, and we get some more details as to what she use to be.
I loved this redemption story, as I always kind of like Barbara, it was nice to get a story about her. We first meet her in book one, and you know right then she was something different, and as the books goes on, you get more and more info on her, but never the full story. So yeah, my interest was peeked more about her than the others. So to say I loved this story is an understatement. It flowed nicely, it had action, mystery, and misdirection. Honestly I didn’t know who was going to betray who, until the was revealed. I loved that, cause it kept you guessing and fully engaged. The ending was sweet, very warming, and it also gives you a hint of whats to come in the next instalment. I’m super excited and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
So to end, as I don’t want to spoil this wonderful piece of fiction, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.
Happy Reading

Urban Dictionary defines “Jumping the Shark” as; The beginning of the end. Something is said to have “jumped the shark” when it has reached its peak and begun a downhill slide to mediocrity or oblivion. (For further explanation please find S5E1 of Happy Days)
JUMPING THE SHARK is the fifth and the penultimate episode of the Paranormal Talent Agency. I disagree with title because I do not think this series has reached its peak – I feel like it could be one of those “cozy type series” that go on and on, but I also thought that about Happy Days so what do I know turns out Joanie didn’t love Chachi, but I digress…
As with the first four episodes in this series, this story had a sense of humor about itself, weaved a delightful tale of demons and supernatural underworld and was a quick fun read on a Sunday Afternoon.
I recommend this series, this book and this author.
Jumping the Shark by Heather Silvio is the fifth book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. This is a fun and imaginative series that will keep you thoroughly entertained.
I have really enjoyed this whole series since I started it but this book has got to be my favourite so far. I loved the connection between the main characters. I loved how different they both were and yet how well they worked together.
The overall story line was interesting and kept a great pace throughout. It was an easy read that is perfect for one of those lazy afternoons on which you can get lost in a book. I would definitely recommend this whole series.
“A Funny and Exciting Paranormal Mystery Romance series”
Each book in this series is exciting and unique. You will love all the characters.
Barbara is a spunky demon. She used to be an Angel. Till she made a stupid comment that sent her falling to hell. Barbara is also the head council woman of Law Vegas. Now she is coming up for reelection. She and the other candidates are to travel to a debate together. Before she leaves Barbara gets a warning premonition. She does not travel with the others. Another Demon Mark is also a candidate. He does not travel with the others either. Next thing they know the other candidates die in an accident. This puts Barbara and Mark as prime suspects.
You will love this super exciting, thrilling, funny, suspenseful and mysterious paranormal romance.
A great read about change. Barbara Knollman is getting ready for the electoral campaign for mayor. However, things are turned on a head when a bus carrying the candidates to a venue is involved in an accident. With only one other candidate alive, Barbara grows suspicious. Can she prove that he did it before its too late?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Barbara determined but with her doubts underneath. I loved how she was given her time to shine in this novel as a main character instead of on the sidelines. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind Liam or the concerned Lynn.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with Barbara’s house with its comfy chairs and tables, using small spaces for scenes of tension and conflict perfectly written. Or the scenes with the accident with the wrecked bus and blue lights so vivid its as if you’re actually there.
Once again, a wonderful example of world buidling with fantasy creatures coexisting alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. A wonderful example of building upon the sequel with more fantasy creatures such as angels and demons and archangels true to their origins and given the respect they deserve. I loved the idea of them having powers and that angels could be ordinary people instead of being descended from gods as usually seen in fangasy novels.
The combination of the demons of fabtays and realism of politics made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars
A new threat causes an unlikely alliance.
This is book five in the series and, while it stands pretty well on its own, it will make a lot more sense if the stories are read in order.
The story is a paranormal cozy mystery set in Las Vegas, which seems the perfect place for paranormal characters to blend in. I have been enjoying this series from the start and that has not changed. The story is well written with lots of interesting characters and a good dose of humor. Through in a mystery with several twists and turns and you have the formula for some fun light entertainment. A very nice weekend read.
Highly recommended.

I enjoy how this author is able to pull me in right from the start and keep me turning pages. Barbara is running for mayor but her current position allows her to control the paranormal underworld. She is a character that I found myself liking but than there was other times I didn’t like her. She did however, make the story come to life for me. What will happen when she becomes the number one suspect when all of the candidates are killed? This is a sweet romance that I highly recommend.
Barbara is running for Mayor and happens to be a demon. When all of the candidates except her and one other are killed suspicion falls on her. Barbara finds she needs the help of the Paranormal Talent Agency to prove her innocence. I have enjoyed these books of this series and while they are stand alones you will enjoy them more if you read them in order from the beginning as each one gives you more insight to the recurring characters.

I thought this was a great book!! The plot was amazing!! Barbara and Liam make amazing characters in this episode/story! Who can resist a demon and an angel after all? This was wonderful I could not put it down!
An unsettling episode in the Paranormal Talent Agency world. More backstory is revealed about several key characters that changes the face of the landscape, and alters the roles of a few players.
In the end, more about the supes will be revealed to the normals of the world.
Feels like more change is in store ahead.

Jumping the Shark is the fifth episodic book in the world of the Paranormal Talent Agency. This book begins as a demon named Barbara Knollman runs as a mayoral candidate for the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Barbara is currently the head of the city council and her position allows for her to have control the cities paranormal underworld. However, to maintain control she needs to win the current mayoral race. This cute story involves a series of mysteries that Barbara must solve to make the right decisions. This book’s characters are interesting, quirky, flawed, and fun to read. This is a cute, easy to read, feel good, sweet paranormal romance story that reminds us that the word election has more than one meaning. Jumping the Shark is a tale of paranormal elections.
Book five in the Paranormal Talent Agency series and I know I want to read book six. Demon Barbara Knollman and Angel Liam Collins’ story has suspense, drama, danger, murder, a mayoral election, an Demon who has a lot to learn and the Angel that loves her but is not sure of her feelings. The supernaturals are coming out into the open, why is Catherine Rodham so important? I really want to read the next book I need that answered. I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
