Hidden away in a small town, she never expects to reconnect with “The One She Should Have Chosen.”

I am so excited to finally get my hands on Amelia’s story!
Juicy Rebound may be book 1 in this new series, but it ties in with the characters from the authors Assassins and Bellevue Bullies Series. While it is able to be read as a standalone I think that it was even better because I had already read some of the other books.
I absolutely love these characters and love that I get to keep reading about what is going on in their lives.
In this book we get to really know Amelia and Chandler. Both of them have had terrible luck in the relationship department. Both recently coming away from bad divorces, neither are really looking for a new relationship. When they run into each other again after years apart the chemistry between the two of them is instantly reignited.
My heart broke for the things that Amelia had to deal with in her marriage, especially since she did not having her family around to help her though such a tough time. She is so sure that she is undeserving of true love that at first she refuses to let Chandler into her life. However, he will not take no for an answer and over time he begins to break down the wall she has put up. The two of them quickly form a friendship that allows Amelia to see that she deserves to be happy.
There were so many feelings happening while reading this book! This truly does have it all and I promise, you will not be disappointed! – By Alisa
Oh wow! And here was me thinking that Toni couldn’t beat Shea Adler but damn does Chandler beat him hands down. Just wow!!
Chandler has started with a new ice hockey team in a different city and runs into his best friends “long lost” sister Amelia. Queue sparks flying!
I fell in love with this book and these characters from the 1st page. Chandler is just so sweet and so likeable by all. Amelia is snarky but so delicate at the same time. Their stories develop well as the book progresses and I really couldn’t put it down. My only complaint with this book was that there wasn’t more. I can’t wait for the next in this series from Toni!
Loved!!!!!
Juicy Rebound gives all the sweet romance feels a girl needs! Best Friends sibling is one of my favorite genres.
Toni Aleo has always been a go to author for me, and I’ve been in such a funk lately and knew without a doubt Juicy Rebound would get me out of it.
Chandler Moon will have you swooning from the minute you meet him. After a disastrous marriage he’s ready to move on with his life and then he runs into the one that got away, his best friends sister.
Amelia is running away from life and trying to isolate herself from her family. She gave up everything to be with the man she thought was everything.
Then fate brings the one man who could break through her walls.
Such an amazing story of heartbreak, love and overcoming obstacles.
Chandler and Amelia’s story is everything you want or need in a story. Loved!!!
I’ll be impatiently waiting for Toni’s next book, I know it’ll be worth the wait’
I have been waiting for Amelia’s story, and it was really worth the wait. Amelia
Justice is Ryan’s younger sister who gave up her gymnastic scholarship to marry Drew. She left college and moved away from her family to be with him which turn out to be her worst mistake. I was heartbroken to read that she didn’t have her family to be there for her. Amelia went through a couple of rough years without her family except her cousin Shelli. Now that she finally woke up and took back her life living in her grandparents beach house in South Carolina where she meets back up with Chandler her brother’s Bullies hockey teammate. Chandler has always had feelings for Amelia but her brother didn’t want any of his teammates dating his sister. Chandler is now on the NHL IceCats hockey team and divorce from his crazy wife. He runs into Amelia “The One That Got Away” at the coffee shop where she works. I’m glad they met back up with each other. I had always hoped they would have got together in ‘End Game’.
This was a little sad but later uplifting book. I cried and laughed through it. Amelia’s ex-husband left her feeling with a low self- esteemed which was devastating when you know she came from a family that loved and cherished her. I think not having her father there made it extra worse for her. Chandler helped her tremendously along with her cousin see the worth in herself. He keep after her until she finally said yes to a date. After that they were to find their way. I think everyone will enjoy Amelia and Chandler story. A very deep read for me. Another great book from Toni and can’t wait wait for Shelli Adler story
Read: 1/30/19
Juicy Rebound was the first book in the new spinoff series by Toni Aleo, the IceCats.
We met Chandler Moon in End Game (book four, Bellevue Bullies series) when he signed for the IceCats while playing college hockey for the Bellevue Bruisers. Fast forward five years and he was a year out of a divorce and still playing for the IceCats.
Amelia Justice was also in End Game. She was the little sister to Ryan, was on a college gymnastic scholarship and although attracted to Chandler was totally off limits as a little sister. At the end of End Game, against the wishes of her family, she ran off and married her ex, a newly signed NHL player in Pennsylvania. Fast forward five years and she was divorced, hiding from the world and estranged from her very close family.
Two broken people. One who wouldn’t risk again. Another who was willing for the right person. The journey was an adventure in friendship as barriers were slowly being broken down and a foundation of honest attraction, trust and hope was being firmly planted.
I thoroughly enjoyed both Chandler and Amelia and their journey. Aleo also used this time for us to get to know Shelli Adler, oldest daughter to Shea and Elli Adler (Assassins book one, Taking Shots). How can we not fall in love with her crazy sassiness. I know she crushed on Aiden Brooks (son to Fallon and Lucas, Assassins book two, Trying to Score) but I would love to see her with Nico. Hopefully we’ll get Nico’s story soon. In the meantime, next up is Aleo’s newest series, Nashville Assassins: The Next Generation with book one Dump and Chase.
Chandler Moon’s career as a defensemen for the IceCats is on fire. However, his marriage has gone up in flames… literally. PROS About this book- The story line was okay, the characters were likable and it was a nice sweet second chance at romance read.
CONS About this book- The two characters had been married and divorced and they are only 23-24 years old, Geez go out and enjoy life.
The two characters were pretty immature.
Lots of really cheezy lines.
The guy is a professional Hockey player and his parents buy a house every where he plays so that they can look after him.
This is my first book from Ms. Aleo and I have to say I was absolutely enthralled with every word in this book. I can not wait to go read more of these characters and get to know them all better. Amelia is one of those characters that you just adore and would want as a friend and you want to help her heal and find herself again. She is so strong and such a fighter. I just love and adore her.
Now on to our hero of the story, Chandler! He is the man everyone wants to be with. He is so sweet, kind, patient, and hot. I just swooned over him. I love how patient he is with Amelia and everything he is so willing to give her.
They have a little history, but it just wasn’t their time then, but he is making sure she knows now is their time and he is going to take it! Their chemistry is off the charts, but the best part for me is their banter. It’s funny and witty and just makes you smile. I believe this is a story you do not want to miss and you will love it!
Juicy Rebound is one sweet and beautiful friends-to-lovers/best friends little sister romance!! Both Chandler and Amelia have had marriages that didn’t work out, but a chance reunion in a coffee shop shows that the sparks that have always been between them were still there.
And let me say, Chandler is the epitome of a perfect gentleman – this man made me swoon on so many occasions. He is so patient and respectful with Amelia, never forcing her into anything, although he does make it very clear that he is interested and wants to be more than friends. He doesn’t know the story of why Amelia’s marriage ended, but it’s very apparent to him that her marriage left her a shell of who she used to be. She doesn’t talk or see her family anymore, and family has always been such an important part of her life.
Slowly but surely, Amelia starts opening up to him and spending more time with him, realizing that it is ok to move on and that Chandler is nothing like her ex. He treats her how one should be treated, and helps to her realize her full worth and potential. Chandler gives her the strength and courage she had been lacking, and she finally takes the step forward to make the needed changes in her life.
Chandler has definitely made it onto my list of all-time favorite book boyfriends, and Juicy Rebound has already been added to my favorites of 2019 list. This was a fantastic way to start the next generation of hockey players and I cannot wait to read more!!
So much fun to read a good book!Thank you. Can’t wait for the next one.
What a great book. You are hooked by Chandler Moon and Amelia Justice from the very beginning. You are rooting for those two throughout the entire book. Amelia & Chandler should have been together from the very beginning, but fate had a different journey for them, which made them stronger and more mature in the end.
I recommend you read the other books by the author so that you can get the full story and dynamics of the Justice Family. I like how the author incorporated different parts from the other stories about the Justice Family, which to me plays an important role in the flow of this book.
This book will have you laughing, crying, and so happy by the end. I can’t wait to see what the author writes next!
Fantastic start to Toni Aleo’s new series!!
Toni Aleo has done it again with a fantastic “the one that got away” love story that for me, was a reminder that second chances are often more about helping each other heal and then finding the love in each other that you both need and deserve.
Toni’s characters are ones that are real and believable and endear themselves to your heart. Her stories are also ones that I recommend to anyone that is looking for an emotionally fulfilling sports romance.
Looking forward to meeting more of the IceCats.
Gah, I can’t even! Toni’s new series IceCats, WOW!!!
Toni is back with a new team and some old/new characters for us to love!
Meet Amelia Justice, who had a horrible marriage to her high school sweetheart, yes she chose him over her family and now she doesn’t feel comfortable going back to them, she’s hiding out at her grandparent’s summer home in So Carolina, she still feels she needs time to heal. When she sees Chandler, her brothers best friend, himself just recently divorced from a crazy person, and guy she almost gave up her high school crush on from college, and he’s relentlessly asking her out, can she do it? Is she ready?
Chandler will wow you, he’s a gentlemen through and through, comes from a great family like Amelia, and he knows her family, it should be a match made in heaven right? But are they ready to move on from their pasts and join together forever?
Toni gutted me with this story, with references that will be sure to bring tears to your eyes, Toni is back and writing her best hockey ever. Move over Shea & Elli, here comes the new power couple Chandler & Amelia!!
5 star studded hockey pucks for this one! Grab it as soon as it comes out!
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat. This story is about Amelia Justice and Chandler Moon who met back in college, but never got to explore the chemistry between them. Amelia is trying to get her life back on track after having gone through a divorce and some other family issues. She is really struggling to get it together and then Chandler Moon walks back into her life.
Chandler Moon is a star player with the Ice Cats hockey team and he has gone through his own struggles with a psycho ex-wife, but through it all he has kept his positive attitude and zest for life. He has a great family and good friends from the hockey team. He can’t believe his luck when he walks into a coffee shop and see Amelia Justice, the one that got away.
The chemistry between Chandler & Amelia is off the charts. Chandler is the perfect man to help Amelia find her footing and you just can’t stop cheering these two on to their happily ever after. The secondary characters in this book are very lovable and I really hope we get to see Nico in his own story soon.
I can’t believe I am bawling. Hockey romance should be about the tension on and off the ice. I should be drooling over the mega hunks that Toni Aleo always describes in the most luscious ways. I should be screaming at the hockey players as they make poor decisions that will eventually turn out for the better. The author notices just the right amount of “you have gotta be kidding moments’ to add to keep me intrigued.
And yet I sit here bawling over the beauty of second chances. My heart breaks for the Amelia of the past that was crushed. My heart swells for the girl reborn of strength and the love of a good man. Their pasts are dull. Their future is bright. Toni Aleo thank you for writing such an amazing book to devour and absorb into my heart. Juicy Rebound is a beautiful romance that can give anyone hope for a better tomorrow.
This book was absolutely fantastic! I don’t give many 5 star reviews, but Juicy Rebound definitely deserves it. Chandler is the perfect mix of sexy and sweet. And beautiful Amelia learns to conquer her demons with his encouragement. I actually shed some tears along the way, too. Don’t pass up this sports romance! 5 stars!
I really enjoyed Chandler and Amelia’s story, the next generation is here and I’m so happy. It’s not a second chance love story more the almost one. I loved how Chandler acted with Amelia, he knows what he wants but he’s not pushy. He’s gentle caring and so romantic you’ll be swooning. Amelia is not just trying to rebuild her life but herself too. I was encouraging her every step of the way. It’s emotional at times however the love story just made me smile.
Amelia and Chandler together at last! This story is much more than a “rebound relationship”! Chandler and Amelia both need to heal and overcome losses from their past. By doing so they are able start a beautiful relationship that causes your heart to flutter! Another great book by Toni Aleo!
Toni, Toni, Toni, you’ve done it again. You’ve captured my heart and made it your prisoner. I’ve been obsessed with the Assassins series and this one is no different. This the story of Amelia Justice and Chandler Moon. We’ve previously met them in End Game. Amelia is Ryan’s sister and Shea Alder’s niece. Chandler Moon is Ryan’s best friend from college. I knew when Amelia went back with her ex-boyfriend it was going to end badly, I just didn’t expect for the roller coaster of emotions that Toni put me through a rollercoaster of emotions. Amelia is recovering from her disastrous marriage. She’s hiding out and doesn’t want to return to Nashville to face her family. She’s going through the motions of life and not really dealing with it all, she’s been a ghost. Chandler Moon never expected to see Amelia, his best friend’s little sister again. Let alone at the coffee shop near his place. Amelia isn’t the same person he remembers, sure, she’s still as beautiful as ever but there’s something off about her. Chandler always knew she was the one but let her get away. Now that she’s back, there’s no chance he’s making that mistake again. He’s willing to be patient and for her to realize that he’s not only the one but that he’s not going anywhere. Chandler helps Amelia on her road to recovery. While she doesn’t need him, he gives her strength. It helps her to slowly regain her support system back although she never lost Shelli. I thought there was no one sweeter than Shea but I think Chandler knocked him out of the park. Chandler is the epitome of patience, sweet, firm but loving, and just so yummy. I think Amelia couldn’t have had a guy better for than him. He’s perfection. This book has all the amazing Toni qualities you can expect in her books. It’s heartful, sweet, emotional, witty and oh so dreamy. One of my favorite scenes was not only Shelli knocking out Amelia’s ex-husband but her no remorse attitude. She was more annoyed about dealing with her parents than anything else. I also loved how the two of them dressed up for Halloween, I thought it was brilliant. Juicy Rebound was everything I hoped it could be and more. This book ends in a HEA. I give it five stars!!!!! I received ARC received for an honest review.
What a great start to this series! Toni Aleo has basically done the next generation of Assassins and moved them to South Carolina. We have seen Ryan’s story in a previous book (End Game – loved it too! – it’s nice to have read his story but it’s not required to enjoy this) – and now his little sister Amelia gets her turn. She’s just gotten herself out of an abusive marriage and her self-esteem is at rock bottom when she encounters Chandler Moon. Chandler is her brother’s best friend and now playing professional hockey for the IceCats in South Carolina. He had a brief encounter with Amelia before her marriage, but it went nowhere because of his relationship with her brother. Chandler is just out of a terrible marriage as well and he’s ready to pursue Amelia despite all the roadblocks that are in the way. This is a sweet story on the redemptive nature of love – it’s two broken hearts that are mended with care and tenderness. The author brings us glimpses of some favorite Assassins characters, and we get to see Ryan and Sofia’s wedding (heavy sigh). All in all, a fun romance with a hockey flair.
Quotes I liked:
When I do something and I don’t succeed, I look at it as a learning experience. If you allow yourself to feel like a failure, then you won’t try again. You’ll let it define you. So instead, look at it as a teaching moment and try again.
You were all my firsts, and I want you to be all my lasts.
Two words: Chandler. Moon.
This man… He was sweet, smart, sexy, hilarious, and everything you want your book hero to be. Add in some hockey and he’s just perfection!
Amelia Justice was the perfect heroine, getting back on her feet after being knocked down repeatedly. She wasn’t a doormat but is definitely closed-off. And watching Chandler get her to open up was amazing.
Both of our main characters came from bad relationships that they let define them in completely different ways. When they run into each other by happenstance years after an almost-chance in college, you just know that they’re going to be perfect together. I was rooting for them from the start and am very happy to say this book didn’t disappoint.
Watching Chandler be the man Amelia deserved and seeing her realize that was amazing. I hope we see more of them again in a future book because they are one of my top Toni Aleo duos!
