I started this series with the second book and then went back and read the first. Judge of Hell is the third book and Judge’s story. I am so in love with this series and Alex Grayson writes some absolutely amazing stories. These books are about a group of boys who were extremely abused and used a kids and escaped. Then remade the town and keeps all the evil out and punishes those that deserve it. Judge of course is the Judge of the town and has three women in his life that he spends time with. If you have read the second book I know that you were just as shocked as I was at what happened to one of the ones he spent time with. I know that he loves them in his way but he lost the one woman he loved more than anything for the greater good and handled it horribly. Now Alex is back and she has a huge secret. How will Judge react? You have to read and find out I went into this book blind because I knew that I would love it. Alex Grayson has once again blown me away. To say I loved this book is a understatement. I too can not wait for Emo’s story. He has been a huge mystery through this series of books and I just know that his story will gut us all. This is a must read. The entire series is. Do not miss these book no matter what. I am so addicted it is not even funny.
Intense, suspenseful and over the top exciting!
This is book 3 in the Hell Night series. It’s starts right where Bittersweet Hell ends so that you must read each book in order as it’s not a standalone!
That said, prepare yourself for a thrilling and exciting twisted roller coaster ride!
The intensity, the build up and the questions continue although some are answered. Then, a major wrench is thrown in the midst of the story that had me scratching my head with a major What. The. Heights. moment!
From then on, there were elements of the story that were so over the top, they didn’t seem believable.
However, life is stranger than fiction, and the writing was so good, I found the new developments adding another element of excitement to the story.
Judge seems like an appropriate name for him and when you read the story you’ll see why!
His decisions his quest for second chances, and his outrageous methods of executing that path is what makes reading fun for me!
Wow I love this series book 3 did not disappoint. Great character development. Gut wrenching emotions. This book is full of twists I couldn’t put this book down. No spoilers here I voluntarily review this book for my honest opinion.
I do so love when an author takes a story in a direction that is completely unexpected. Judge’s story one surprise after another
I was not able to put this down!
Since this is NOT a standalone read I am going to assume you know the characters and their backstories.
How do I do this without spoilers?
Ellie – I liked her character, it took me a while to warm up to her and despite her reasoning behind doing what she did, I (like another character in the story, OMG so not giving this away) just cannot completely absolve her – but we can be friends.
Judge – He has always been the calm one, the peacemaker. He analyzes then reacts with forethought. He had his soft side but it was always guarded. In Judge of Hell, we get to see the real man – The heart that he keeps so carefully protected is exposed and let me say I think he may be my second favorite of the brothers.
This was non stop action – past secrets are uncovered – questions are answered – justice is served and some very special bonds are made (I think for me this was one of the more emotional parts of this read)
We are getting so close to the answers on what really happened that last night in Hell
Omg!!
What the hell did I just read. Alex always manages to produce suspense filled masterpieces but this book…this book was in a league of it’s own. The epicness of the bombshells dropped in this book is something those who love the series so far won’t want to miss.
Deliciously dark, suspenseful and twisted. The series is absolutely brilliant and each story continues to get even better. Judge receives the shock of his life when his long lost, but never forgotten, Ellie steps into his office. Things are not as they seem and become even more distorted in Malus. Decisions need to be made and lives will be changed. Fair warning…once you start reading you will not be able to put this down. Anxiously awaiting Emo’s story.
Judge of Hell is the next the dark, yet compelling Hell Night series by Alex Grayson. I was a little apprehensive about Judge. At the end of Bitter Sweet Hell he was rotating through his three mistresses. I don’t want to judge (pun city over here) his lifestyle choices, but it does not equal a HEA for me.
Oh Alex Grayson, I should never have doubted you.
I thought Ellie was a strong heroine. She made some hard choices in her life and stood by her actions and decisions. And she wasn’t too proud to ask for help. Judge grew on me. I went into this story not really connecting with his character or liking his treatment of others…but he grew on me.
The love story between Judge and Ellie seemed to progress quickly, but their past history convinced me and I could let that flaw go.
Ugh, and the hint of what will happen in Emo’s story?! Irresistible.
Ahhh, Judge’s book!! The Hell Night series is a series that I have followed from the beginning and I have no intentions of stopping anytime soon plus this is definitely a series that I can see myself re-reading again and again! This author completely hit the mark with Judge’s book. I knew it would be rough, raw and packed full of emotions and it totally was.
Prior to this book Judge has had arrangements not relationships and he was ok with that. But then this book brings his past back and suddenly it’s not enough. He wants more..but can all secrets be forgiven?
Ellie never wanted to have to see him again but staying away in no longer an option. Now she is forced to face feelings long buried.
This book is a fast paced, raw and gritty story about finding the one person that understands you, it is about family and it is a book that you absolutely must read. You do need to read this story in order to fully understand everything that is happening however all of the books are amazing and it will be totally worth it!

If you have been keeping up with this series, (if you haven’t, I’d recommend starting from the beginning…there is alot of backstory that you don’t want to miss), you know the story behind these boys and what they do, how they try to protect their town and exact vengeance on those who harm innocents. In this third book of the series, we have Kayn, or Judge as we have known him throughout the series, Becket. He is judge, jury and executioner. This story delves deeper into the actions of the residents of Sweet Haven, and the need for safety for those in their small town. But we also see Judge in a different light…as a man who had love in his past and not only the horror we know. Ellie is the last person he expects to see after 12 years…but sparks fly and Judge’s hard exterior begins to melt when the start to get to know each other again. Once again, difficult, dark subject matter…cringeworthy even…but know that it is all worth it in the end. And that ending? Personally, although I’d hoped, all signs pointed to that being lost hope, but yeah…a great flipping ending!
5 twisted as shit stars!!! This book is so fucking messed up that it messes with my head but it is so good! I’m either crying, yelling in joy, angry as shit or ready to puke. Craziness!!
This is book three in the “Hell Night” series. I don’t recommend reading this as a stand alone. Omg just read them all. They are so good. Even when I say book three it definitely doesn’t feel like this is only three books in. I mean I am in love and obsessed with these characters, this town, their stories. And the way this book ended!!! I need book FOUR fast!!!!
This book is dedicated to Judge. We all know Judge. The one and only cocky yet lovable ass who is deathly afraid of commitment. I was actually not too excited about this book. I thought it was gonna he Judge and all his women, and that just isn’t me. But no this took a whole different turn and I fell hard for this book. I cried a lot during this book. Tears of joy, sadness, loss and love. Anyway, Judge has a past like everyone in Malus but there was a woman right before Sweet Haven became Malus that you are about to meet and shit goes to that Alex Grayson level. She has a way with these books. Like who can even think up this shit. With that said I love her for it!
Judge was the one brother I just couldn’t relate to prior to this book but let me revoke that. I fucking adore him! Maisy is amazing and is a game changer (can’t wait til you all meet her). Ellie is super special herself and most definitely belongs in Malus with all the survivors.
Every book this author gives you more of the back story and every time you think, there is no way in hell this can get more fucked up then that. Nope it can and it will!!
This book is going to the favorites list. It’s a 5 star read. A must read of 2019!! This book will invoke every emotion from you. GRAB IT NOW!!
**I received this book as an arc and in return gave my honest review**
I love Jude and Ellie’s story!
Before reading the blurb I had no idea how Alex could write Jude’s love story. Of course bringing in a past love was the only way! With him having the arrangement with his “mistresses” there was no way it could be one of them. He wouldn’t have suddenly decided he really loved one of them.
When Judge learns Ellie’s he’s sent for a loop and angry. Yes keeping her secret was wrong but Ellie had her reasons.
Judge doesn’t plan to change his ways or give up his ladies. But as he begins to understand why Ellie made the decision to keep her secret the connection from the past starts to crackle and the love they still share starts to burn.
Of course Judge and Malus have their own secrets. Ellie knows the past of Sweet Haven and the atrocities committed there but Judge doesn’t know if she handle the way the Brothers dish out justice.
We meet a whole new side of Judge. He’s still controlled and protective but now he’s passionate and possessive. It’s good on him!
Alex threw I some twists and turns to keep us guessing. I couldn’t out it down!
** 4 1/2 stars **
I could not wait until I got my hands on Judges story.
I was not disappointed.
I loved it!
Judge and his brothers rule the town of Malus with an iron fist.
It’s a town for families to raise their children without fear.
Where neighbors ask and help each other out.
Everyone caring about the people and the community.
But get caught abusing a child or a women.
Well Judge, who is the judge of Malus, will not only be the judge.
But jury and executioner as well.
His relationship with his women intrigued me.
For me it felt like his relationships with all of them was to fill a void in his life.
I knew he genuinely cared for them and enjoyed spending time with each one.
But I always felt there was something missing.
The friendship was very strong. But the bond of true love was missing.
Now I know the reason why.
I really liked Ellie.
She is a strong capable woman.
Ellie loves with her whole heart and soul.
Circumstances forces Ellie to seek out Judge.
From this point both of them need to determine their priorities and come to terms with the past.
I loved and appreciated how Ms. Grayson was able to bring jaw dropping unpredictable twists to the book. Freaking amazing!
The only part that was iffy for me was Ellie and Judges three women.
No matter how nice the women are or how big hearted Ellie is I just couldn’t come to terms with them being friends.
Maybe cordial and respectful in passing or gatherings. But not buddies.
Holy Smokes that ending though!
Bring on Emo’s Story!
Alex Greyson has once again tore up my heart, put it back together, just to shatter it again!
I never thought Judge would be the one to find love. I guess technically he still didn’t because he had always had it. When Ellie walks back into his life, we see a whole different Judge than we have been used to in the last 2 books.
Ellie is one hell of a strong woman for everything she has endured. She definitely came out stronger and braver in the end. She is Judge’s match for sure!
We get a little more insight on Emo and I couldn’t help but gasp and have my heart race with what Alex teased us with for his book. I love/hate her right now!
Alex never disappoints and is hands down one of my go-to authors to read and recommend!
Judge of Hell is the 3rd book in the Hell Night Series. SERIES….meaning these books must be read in order….key words here are MUST READ! This storyline is like nothing in your worst nightmares. One of the things that I liked about Judge of Hell (what is wrong with me?), is that it goes back a bit and reminds us, from Judge’s POV, of the horrors that the four brothers and other children endured so many years ago. Judge is a character that I was kinda leery of thru the first 2 books. So I was just as shocked as Judge when his past met up to his present. For all the cruelty that Judge and his brothers endured as children, I’m warmed and overwhelmed by their protective, nurturing demeanor, and especially with what Judge learns of and deals with. Author Alex Grayson is a master story teller! This is a series that will stay with you forever and I can not wait for Emo’s story!
Oh my effin gosh !
This book this series this author absolutely amazing
Alex Grayson knows exactly what she’s doing and with every book I read of hers they keep getting better and better I’m absolutely obsessed with her books and once I start one I’m so frustrated when I have to put it down lol …
This book has everything you could ask for heartbreaking love that has never ended … thrilling edge of your seat moment hit sexy scenes and hit hunky alpha males that have scars that need their true love to help calm their inner demons….. uuuummmm can I get a yes please ….
I’m so desperate for the next book that I actually squealed loudly on the last page oh my gosh aalex how can you do this to me ! …….
5 Darkly Heartwarming Stars
Again I must remind all of the disclaimer. The flashbacks and violence in this book could be too much for sensitive readers so be aware. If you like dark romance, this is definitely a book to pick up! I could not wait to get my hands on Judge’s story and I was not disappointed!
The history between Judge and Ellie is like no other and explains a lot of how Judge has wound up the person he is in addition to the abuse he suffered as a child in Sweet Haven. The return of the only woman who ever had his heart and a surprise he never expected changes Judge’s life forever and turns it upside down . Throughout this book we find out about Judge and his caring heart and fair way of dealing with people. There is no question when he wants, he can open his heart to those around him. There is plenty of angst and suspense throughout this story and in the end we find out more secrets and get pieces of what is to come. I anxiously await Emo’s story and cannot wait for the story that will finish the path these brothers have been on!

“It’s about life and the future we could have together. I want her body, but I want her heart and soul more.”
I am being very picky with my 5 Star Reviews in 2019. I had very high expectations for Judge based on his history and his storyline in the other books. Alex Grayson hit Judge out of the park. This beautifully, broken man finds the woman who repairs his soul. This book is dark, complex and intriguing. The characters are flawed and tragically bonded together in a hell that can’t be imagined.
This Hell Night series is so different and I’m loving it, so much! The storyline is so original that it could go wrong, but the author really takes these characters from boys to men and give them the most redemption they can achieve with the cards that they were dealt with their childhood.
This author and series are fantastic. If you don’t read this book and series – you are missing out.
Holy Hell!!! This series just keeps getting better. I’ve been dying to read Judge’s book since reading the first one in the series and Alex did not disappoint. He’s hell bent on protecting Malus and everyone he cares for. When his past comes back with a surprise he never expected, he’ll do anything to protect them too. That ending was so unexpected, can’t wait for Emo’s book. This whole series is highly recommended.
oh my god! What a story this was. A 6 star masterpiece that had me hooked from the beginning of this series. The stories only get better and better. I couldn’t think it was ever possible. Hold on tight this is going to be a very bumpy ride.
This is about Judge, one of the 4 brothers that survived Hell Night. That’s all I’ll say.
I’m just amazed by the intensity of this story. I had goosebumps throughout this story. It was a surprisingly shocking storyline that I never saw coming. I was sucked in Judge’s world. A selfless man who will do anything for those he loves.
A unique storyline that is so entertaining and intriguing. A romantic suspense that never has dull moment. Bottomline this is a must read series.
This is the third book in the Hell Night series. I can’t wait for Emo’s stories. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
