The Hell Night Series continues with Judge’s story!Fierce, loyal, controlled. Three things Judge became at a young age.Enduring unimaginable horrors no child should, he swore no person would dictate his or his brother’s lives again.Revenge fueled him, setting a path destined from the moment he and his brothers escaped their hell. Nothing would stop him from destroying the ones who’d wronged him, … destroying the ones who’d wronged him, even if that meant giving up the only woman to ever make him feel more than the heat of vengeance.
He let Ellie go, threw her away, never knowing the consequences of his actions.
Twelve years later, she reappears in his life, and she has some hellacious secrets of her own. Ones that knock Judge on his ass and threaten his ironclad control.
His life quickly changes course. Priorities are shifted and sacrifices are made. Judge has a decision to make. Will he give up his incessant need for retribution? Or will he sacrifice something he never dreamed he could have, but desperately wants.
Or is it possible to have both?

I’ve been intrigued by Judge since we met him in book one. I wanted to know what made this aloof man tick and the author did a good job of showing us the man beneath the mask.
The book is still as gritty and raw as the previous two. Judge and his brothers rule the town of Malus with an iron fist. One thing that has kept him going over the years was getting his revenge. It’s pretty gruesome but I rejoiced when each new chapter was closed. Judge is happy with his women but when his past comes knocking on his door everything is going to change.
With the mother of all cliffhangers Emo is next and I can’t wait.

So far this is my favorite! I seriously love Judge! I hurt so much for these guys and definitely seeing what they went through is not easy and definitely left me sick to my stomach. I’m so glad judge got his hea. I loved the storyline. It definitely threw me for a few loops but I loved this book! If you like romances with a dark twist, you’ll love this! I surely did!
The Hell Night series is not your hearts and flower type of series and with each heartwrenching new addition I find myself spellbound from start to finish. After the previous book I realized Judge’s book would be dark, twisted and totally not what I expected and Judge of Hell didn’t disappoint. My heart ached and I was kept guessing with some unexpected twists that took this story in an unexpected direction. I enjoyed getting to know Judge better as his layers slowly fell away. One of my favorite things throughout this series has been the unshakeable bond between these amazing characters and I loved how all of their stories are progressing. Judge Of Hell definitely yanked on my heartstrings and has me counting down the days until I can get my hands on Emo’s story!
Oh. My. Days!!! These books don’t get any easier to read…..and I would not have it any other way! This author can extract every emotion from the first chapter of her book, and I mean all her books get me like that, every time!
I was in tears by Chapter nine and to be honest I can’t say why because it would give away too much. This book has so many twists and turns that I think I have whiplash! Judge and his brothers are still seeking out those from Hell Night, throw in a blast from the past with a heartbreaking secret and I am scattered six ways Sunday.
I cannot tell you how much I love this author and this series. If I could give more than Five Stars, I would!!
From a very young age, Judge has been the protector of his chosen family and has learned that sacrifices are to be made in the name of the revenge they all seek as much as for self-preservation.
Leader of their hometown, when a woman from his past comes looking for him and gives him news that he’s not expecting and threaten to rock his world, Judge must reevaluate his priorities and decide whether love for his brothers and the people of Malus or for the woman he turned his back on years ago is the path to follow.
Since the first book of the series I could tell Judge’s story would be intense, but it was not only intense, but unexpected. The twists, turns and details of Judge’s story are enough to keep the reader at the edge of their seat, but it was definitely not enough for the author.
Judge of Hell is a great read, thrilling and full of surprises. I got to see the side of Judge I didn’t expect and I kept rooting for him to find the HEA he well deserves after a life filled with pain, abuse and revenge. And that ending…I still get goosebumps when I think of it.
Wow!! This is the 3rd installment of this series. Uou need to read them in order so you don’t miss any part of this heart wrenching story. Judge and Ellie’s story will have you hooked from the start, a true roller coaster hell of a ride. I think this is my best series so far, I will not give you any spoilers because finding out all about these brothers for yourself is so much better. My heart hurts for every one of them but you will not put it down until the end, and what an ending to book 3. I can not wait for the next book. This story deserves a lot more then 5 stars. A MUST READ!!!!
I received an advanced copy for my honest review
Love this series!
The third instalment to the Hell Night Series is Judge’s story. Judge, like his brothers, has been through so much in the past. He’s dedicated his life to protecting those he cares about. Doing what ever it takes to make sure they are safe. Which is put to the test, when he gets a visit from the past…
Don’t want to give too much away. I do recommend you read series in order. So many things are unfolding. I didn’t see any this coming. This series just keeps getting better and better. Each book leaves you dying to read the next. Love all of these characters. Can’t wait for Emo’s book.
I know I sound like a tween at a Shawn Mendez concert but OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! I’m not sure if Alex Grayson is intentionally evil or she just plays it on our hearts. I cannot even being to tell you my torment. I can’t because I can’t freaking deal with spoilers, just know that the motherf@cking mic drop of all mic drops happens in these pages!!! I’m still trembling. I can’t put into words the amount of terror, relief, and surprise that its causing other than to say I’m shaking. Yes, some will say that’s a tad dramatic but no shit my hands are shaking as I type this.
Judge of Hell gives us a real view into Judge. The aloof, polyamorous man wasn’t always so. We learn about his walls and get to watch them crumble to the ground. I know Jenny would have been so happy to see it. Watching Judge come alive was a wonderful experience. And I’m a terrible person because ALL of my focus is on Emo now. Poor Emo!
Alex Grayson better, and I mean better (held at knife point), hurry up and give us Emo. I can’t wait. I physically hurt inside for this tumultuous tale. Sigh.
Oh and the icing on the cake, participating in the execution of Judge’s biggest demon! I’m pretty sure I smiled.
4.5 stars

This series just keeps getting better. This book will keep you up all night to finish. There are quite a few surprises that will make your head spin especially the ending. Ellie and Judge proved that first love is forever. This series needs to be read by everyone. I will now patiently wait for Emo’s book.
This is the third book in the series and I just want to start out with saying you need to read the first two books. I was eagerly waiting for Judge to get his book and I was most definitely not disappointed. Judge is a really closed off man because of both his past and because of how they run the town now. But in walks Ellie from his past and things begin to change. Both feelings and emotions that Judge that he had locked away are coming to the surface. Not only was this book probably my favorite of the three so far I have to say the surprises in this book have me wanting to have Emo’s book so bad
Hold on to your seat because Alex Grayson is going to take you on another hell of a ride with Judge of Hell!
This story is not at all what I thought Judge’s story would be based on what we knew about him in the first two books. Alex definitely had some secrets, twists and turns, and surprises up her sleeve!
Judge has been ruling this town of Malus with an iron fist with his brothers at his side. Even though he has female companionship, he has been going through the motions of life but never really living until his past lands on his doorstep and everything he knew changed! Letting strangers into their town can be very risky and Judge has to take a chance to see if Ellie can accept their ways and in turn she has to trust him with everything, her daughter and her heart.
This town plays by its own rules so be prepared for darkness and violence. These stories are definitely not for the faint of heart!
This is the third book in her Hell Night series and you will really want to read the first two books in this series to understand this town and the players involved.
I just love this series so so much…Alex Grayson knows how to excite the black side of my heart. This is not a sugar cookie romance with fairies and pixie dust. Put on your big girl panties and strap in!
I love Judge’s book LOVED it. You really need to read the other two books in the series to fully understand and appreciate everything Judge of Hell gives you.
Judge is a damaged guy like his brothers and Ellie is a definite match. I loved their story and the surprises it brought. I so didnt expect the turns this book popped up with. Dont want to spoil this story but you need to one click.
It is a definite dark read and not for someone who is easily triggered. Judge and the other brothers have had a dark past and had to overcome the hell their childhood brought.
I loved this story and stayed up late reading all the craziness Alex wrote. One of the best dark series I’ve ever read! you need to one click and get reading and have the tissues ready too!
Judge of Hell is the 3rd Installment in the Hell Night Series, I strongly suggest you read them in order, if you don’t you will be missing out on so much of the town’s history. As in each of the previous books we get flashbacks to Judge’s childhood. Their past isn’t easy by any means, but in true Alex fashion, she isn’t graphic with details just for a shock effect. She’s very gentle & alludes to things.
As an avid reader I love lots of authors & their works, but Alex has a very unique storytelling style. Each and every series I’ve read I’ve sent her an angry message for killing off a popular secondary character, as the stories continue on the reader sees why she had to do that. In Bitter Sweet Hell (book 2) we lost the sweet loving Jenny. And as you read this book you see ultimately it had to be her that was killed.
Judge of Hell sticks on the same timeline as the two previous books picking up a few months after BSH ended. Of the four ‘brothers’ Judge is the most Controlling. He’s the oldest and even as kids he’d intervene when there were squabbles earning him the nickname ‘Judge’ and he’s now the Honorable Judge in the town of Malus TX – just don’t call him “your honor” because its stupid and sounds high and mighty. Out of the four ‘brothers’ he’s also the most adamant about keeping outsiders out of Malus, just ask Trouble & JW the grief he gave them when they wanted their women to become part of their lives and Malus permanently.
Jude was ‘content, but he wasn’t really happy.’ with his unique relationship with Jenny, Layla, Jamie and Gillian. It suited the 5 now 4 of them and what they needed from each other. He respected each of the women, and they were all on the same page. It provided Judge with companionship, emotional support as well as the physical relief, ultimately it gave the order that Judge needed. This was something they had for years, it was their routine.
What he wasn’t was prepared for a piece of his past to walk into his office and certainly not for the secrets Ellie has kept from him.
Judge was Ellie’s 1st and only Love, they met in college, she lost her virginity to him and after 6 blissful months of devotion & love, he ended things without any reason. The events that transpired that night changed her life forever. Twelve years later she has no choice but to go to the one man she promised herself she’d never see again for help, not just help but life-saving help. Her world is about to horrifically end and he is the only one who can possibly help.
There is so much to this story, yet I can’t begin to tell you any of it because I don’t believe in Spoilers in reviews. I believe that the best way to absorb the story is to read it 1st hand. And trust me this story continues to tug at your heartstrings, it continues to make you see red in anger, but it also makes you feel warm inside as you’re falling more in love with these characters.
The one Spoiler I will give you is … all along I’ve been eagerly awaiting Emo’s story, and this one ends in a cliffhanger making me want to send one of my Screaming Text Messages to Alex about how could she do this to us.
This series just keeps on getting better, dark and more depraved… God I love it! This author is very creative with how the bad guys meet their end!
As predicted, we knew Judge had a harrowing childhood just like the other characters in this series, but each characters faces aspects of the same forms of abuse. The strength of these characters is evident in the writing, it’s powerful, encumbering and emotive. This author has the ability to give you chills down your spine one minute and as well as the ability to make you feel all soft and squidgy inside as they put their past to one side and make a future with ‘The one’ while still ridding the earth of the scum they vow to remove.
Plenty of secrets, twists and lies keep you reading until late at night. But prepare yourself, there’s one secret you won’t see coming. Alex Grayson, you are not my friend right now!!
Judge of Hell is book 3 in the
Hell Night series by Alex Grayson. Once again transported to the town of Malus. A town that dispenses it’s own brand of justice. Ran by 4 men who while aren’t blood related, are brothers! I have grown to love and adore these 4 men, Trouble, JW, Judge, and Emo. Their stories shattered my heart. But to see the men they are today makes me so proud of them. Alex Grayson has crafted a phenomenal story with these men. Every book in this series is a must read.
When Judge and Ellie get a second chance at love, can they make up for the past? In the books so far we see Judge as this man who refuses to settle down. He’s in a poly relationship with 3 woman. All of each give him something he needs. I really didn’t think a single woman could tie him down, boy was I wrong!
Ellie is EVERYTHING Judge needs, plus so much more. And watching him be a dad melted my heart.
Once again be warned this book isn’t rainbows, kittens, and butterflies, it’s dark, it’s twisted, it’s emotional, and at times hard to fathom what these men went through as children. But I devoured every single word!!! This series is PHENOMENAL!!! A 10 star must read!! I can not wait until Emo’s book!!
Well this story threw a twist at you from the first chapter. One that floored me.
Judge is set in his life but in a few minutes that all changes. When he gains something he has never desired to have his life he rethinks everything. This is a story that is better left without spoilers. It is best to just savor it all.
Ms. Grayson has a knack of writing a dark, suspenseful, and heart wrenching story that you will be invested into long after you close the last chapter. Every character in the Hell Night Series has a dark story to tell. This series will be in my top read list. It is a series I will always tell the dark lovers they need to read.
Be ready for twist and turns and one jaw dropping cliffhanger.

Judge’s book is the third in The Hell Night series, and although it can be read as a stand-a-lone, the characters are consistent throughout. So, of course you will want to read the preceding books in this dark and beautifully written series. No plot description of this book from me here, because so many beautifully written reviews will have down that. Just my head thoughts instead.
Hell Night, worse than any kind of hell I could have imagined, is what the kids from Sweet Haven had to live through once a month, and as I read Judge’s recount of his childhood memories, I wanted to raze every one of the sick and twisted adults of this town to the ground, in the worse possible way. Yep, I want the closure they are exacting, and what Judge and his brothers are accomplishing is against the grain of every civilised rule book, yet I am satisfied in the most base of ways at seeing justice is served. It is hard to find fault in what they are doing.
I am a relative new-comer to the dark reads that some of the most talented authors write, and I absolutely adore Alex Grayson’s writing. That being said, this is up there as the most disturbing series I have ever read, yet, I couldn’t put the books down. I admired Ms Grayson’s ability to put together such a hellacious plot and still tweeze a love story out of it. She truly did!! Furthermore, the men in this series are closer than blood brothers, and loyal to a fault.
I questioned myself. Is there something skew-iff in my moral compass that I could understand the love and loyalty that our heroines have for these men? That I need them to have their HEA and continue about their business as usual. You can bet that I don’t actually care. Moral compass be damned, I want Judge and his brothers to win. I want them to have loving relationships with their wife and kids. These men are true heroes. They are damaged beyond repair, yet have made the conscious choice to be honourable men in their own dangerous way. The most deplorable starts to life, and they became great men in spite of it.
There are moments of quiet beauty, where the love of an innocent child quietens the darkest heart, and it is those pages that I cried through. This book brings out all of the strong emotions, and I imagine if it ever became a book club read, and it should, it will be very polarising.
Kudos, Alex Grayson, for another book where the gift of your writing enslaved me as a reader, entertained me, and challenged my true self. 5 hard won stars.
I was so excited for Judge’s story and it was honestly a little bit anticlimactic for me. The first two books were very full of action and while this one had it’s fair share, I didn’t feel like it held up to the others. I was glad to get insight into Judge and his reasoning for what the brothers were doing and how it shaped his life. It put more pieces of the puzzle together for me and I was able to get some more background information that I feel will help understand the next book better as well as the ability to reflect on the previous ones too. I really loved the relationship between Ellie and Judge; after understanding the brothers you could understand why Judge did what he did but also why Ellie did what she did as well, and I was happy the two of them got their HEA. I have to say I am extremely pumped for the next book based on the ending of Judge’s book. I won’t give any spoilers, but I will say that I was so shocked I dropped my iPad, gasped, and then praised Alex for this twist I cannot wait to see play out!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
4 Stars
Judge of Hell is the third book in the series Hell Night, which follows the story of four men who had been abused in their hometown in childhood, and now years later made it a safe place for them, their family, and the rest. It is a book that deals with second chances, it is an intense book with some twists in the middle of the way and each story makes you hope that each of these “Brothers” can achieve happiness.
Here we have the story of Judge, a character who has intrigued me since the first book by his peculiar relationship with several women at the same time. As soon as I finished the previous book all my suspicions of who would be your love interest fell to the ground by the events.I confess this frustrated me a bit, but now that I’ve finished his story I don’t see how his story and his love interest could be different.
Let’s talk about the heroine of this book? Ellie is a character I really liked. She is loyal, protective, sweet and strong, has had some traumas in the past and may have made some “disapproving” choices, but I couldn’t hate her for one minute.I understood your choices and attitudes and even though I might not do the same I can not condemn her for what she did. Judge is also a character who won my love a little more in this book and it was good to know a little more of him here and the other side of him that until today I didn’t know. And together it was good to see them taking a second chance to make things work for them. I really liked their relationship and loved their relationship with Maisy.
Something that I didn’t convince in my opinion was the participation of his three lovers in this story. The development of them with Ellie (as small as it was) did not seem realistic to me. I read here saying to myself: Is this serious?
And about that end I only have one thing to say: I knew! And let the story of Emo come as quickly as possible.
This book is amazing. A great third book in this series. I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to Judge. After everything I wasn’t sure whether or not he would get his HEA. This book will have you guessing through and through. And do not be surprised by the EPIC ending… It is absolutely worth the read and the wait ~A Wild About Romance Review
